I was at an outdoor wedding sitting in my seat eating for it to start. Then I looked down and saw a for leaf clover! Then I picked it up and looked down again and saw another one! They were both in the exact place I was sitting. I gave one to the Bride and the other to the Groom.

I want to add that since the four leaves are genetic mutations, where you find one, you're more likely to find more in that area. However those plants will continue to grow four leafed clovers THROUGHOUT the growing season. In other words, you can return to the same spot a week or two later and pick more four leafed clovers.
My favorite clover legend is that every-time a four leafed clover gets gifted, it doubles in luck.

I found my first four leaf clover today on my 74 th birthday. My mom passed away 4 years ago. She looked for 4 leaf clovers where ever she went. I know that was her way of wishing me a happy birthday. That made my day so special.
@@jeanb5143 that's fantastic. My Girlfriend and I find one every place we go camping. We iron them between wax paper. Its fun and a good way to remeber some where. So far our collection together has grown to over 20 4 leaf clovers. Happy birthday to her. Today the 26th is my birthday as well.

I have found over 40 four leaf clovers in a year and 3 five leaf clovers. I started pressing them and saving them in a book. I tell everyone I never find them if actively “llooking” but almost always find them when walking briskly with the dog and scanning quickly as you correctly laid out with mammogram analogy. It’s like my brain just immediately spots the “outlier” pattern. Now I just tell people it’s my super power.
I have found 13 this week alone (all in various white clover patches) including 9 in one night. Is there more in March and April? Seems to be the case for me. I find way less in summer.

I ended up watching this video, after I found my 11th one. I dont know how - they just jump out at me. I think after I saw the first two, that my eyes now adjust to seeing them, I look down and my eyes always focus on a white square shape (from the 4 leaves). I kept them pressed between tissue paper. Still unlucky in life though.

someone must of forgot they were preserving it and returned it because you put a four leaf clover in a book so the book absorbs the clovers moisture to make it last longer than you laminate it they must of put it in the book forgot than returned it

I've found quite a few just walking by and glancing. My most recent was a five leaf and I found it when I spotted an irregular pattern out of the corner of my eye. So, I do believe the irregular pattern hypothesis.
Our optical pattern detection systems are A1, park the brain for a moment and let our eyes subconciously do their thing.

The only time I’ve found a clover with more than 3 leaves was when I was trying to pull the weeds above where my grandpa was buried, and I found a 5 leaf clover.
four leaf clovers are unlucky for me because I'm japanese and in Japan/China 4 is the unlucky number witch means death.
btw Shi is how you pronounce four in Japan also shi means death as well.

I found 200+ four leaf clovers, 8 or 9 5 leaf clovers, and 3 6 leaf clovers.
Might be wrong but i grew up being told four leaf clovers are made when a three leaf is damaged and grows a new leaflet or something? So 1/10000 wouldnt make sense since some clovers are more likely to be damged then others due to location

I can find so many it's practically a burden.
Imagine; walking across a field and seeing handfuls of four leaf clovers and not having the time to pick them all.
Also, I'm not aware of all the genetic stuff about clover, I don't intend to contradict it. However, from my own observations I have found that four leaf clovers form when one of the three original leaves split at the end and a fourth leaf starts to form off of it. That's why the fourth leaf is often smaller. That's not always the case though.
I have found thousands upon thousands of four and multi-leaf clovers. I have also found clovers that were still in the process of forming. I have seen many cases where the fourth leaf had not finished splitting. It is a kind-of "conjoined twin" leaf with one side being smaller.
I have found like 4 4 leafs clover in a week. They are honestly everywhere. I just look at the ground and find one. They tend to be next to eachother if you do find one. I started finding them like 2 years ago and I have probably found like 30 maybe more
So I went to the park and sat in a a specific part, but I didn't feel comfortable there so I moved and all of a sudden I felt like looking around and I found a four leaf clover. Now I had it for about a week and it started sprouting a new clover while the other one beside it started dying and it dried out, but the four leaf clover is still alive? I keep it in a jar with only water. Why hasn't it died?

I have read other papers on this topic that claim far more 4 leafers per square foot, something like 7 to 8. Ever since reading that I always take a peak at a healthy white clover patch. Other than the kick ass bees that you can find, I get at least one four leaflet every time within 5 mins. I do agree a general scan is the best way. Did not know you could get higher leaflet counts. It's on now.
I found TWO four leaf clovers IN ONE DAY once. Heck, I've never been so lucky in my life!
If you want to find them (and happen to live in Norfolk) the particular places I found them were Wicken Fen, and Fordham Park (directions can be found at Google Maps)

When I was a kid by our house we had plenty of four leaf clovers. I even found a couple of clovers with 5+ leaves. It must have been a good genetic patch.
Another way to tell 4 leafs and other plants apart: Clovers have round leaves and white markings. Oxalis counts too. Oxalis has heart shaped leaves with no markings. No purple marks.

Today (may 9 2018) I was just randomly walking in my backyard when I seen a reel clover it looked so real it looked like the clovers that you see on hats for st.patricks day and yesterday I was looking up clovers 😂☘️it looked like this one ☝️☘️
I tend to find 4 leaf clovers by just walking by some random grass patch with clovers in them. I've also found a 4 leaf and 5 leaf clover at the same time.
