Hey guys, just wanted to say this was all in good fun. Certainly no disrespect to the creator. Was just being a silly goofball! Nothing but love here. Hugs and kisses
There's a rule for Disney mascots on the park that states to NEVER break character, which I think would be a fucking golden premise for one of your animations.
As a former cast member part of what drove me up a wall was the Disney adults that worked with you. They were the biggest snitches over small things and the biggest nags. They make it terrible to visit and work there.
@@theghosty99 trust me this is very stressful even if it doesn't feel this way. I am currently going through a process and both me and my partner are scared the process may fall through for a property we really really really liked.
I will be honest this guy is pretty tame for being a Disney adult. I've seen some Disney adults ball their eyes out when they just walk up to the place and it looks like they drive their family insane when they go
I think there is a big difference between people who enjoy going to disney and go as adults and people who make disney their whole personality and are obsessed with it. Making your company your personality is super weird
I dated a girl who was a disney adult. She was absolutely gorgeous . The disney obssession threw me off more than anything . I think she got married at disney. But she went several times a year .
Idc about Disney so I've got no skin in the game but as someone who grew up poor, I can get why some adults might want to go whether they have kids or not. Idk couldn't you compare it to going to comic-con? Everyone's there bc they like the fandoms 🤷🏾♀️
@@Magical_Melanin_Megan It's just an internet trend to hate on it. I don't think most people really even have an authentic personal opinion on this. It's free content for MC
I worked at Aulani in Hawaii and witnessed a Disney adult knock a child down in excitement of a Disney character arriving at an event, the disgusting part was when the child started crying the adult became the victim and blamed the child for being overexcited and running around the event. I quit a couple of weeks later and life is better.
When I was little we flew over to Oahu for a day and that was the hotel my parents chose, for fun I guess. My only memory of the whole experience was the daycare part where I played plants vs zombies for 6 hours straight
@@Alesae132yeah it would still be weird if it was a woman, that’s not what the original comment was implying. It’s the fact that the person in the video is a dude, and he did that in the video… which is what the person was referring to
@@Alesae132 yeah I’m a grown man myself and it’s pretty easy to acknowledge that men are exponentially more likely to be predators than women. I haven’t seen Chris Hanson tell a single woman to “have a seat right over there.”
I don’t have kids but I have a two year old nephew. Alesae, I hope this is okay with you, but man or woman, regardless of location, if I saw a person all by themselves filming or photographing him the consequences could go from “what the hell are you doing?” to punch o’ clock real quick.
My trigonometry teacher was a Disney adult and I wanted to poke fun at it but she had a massive heart and was unbelievably kind to everybody so you can’t hate
I'm not gonna shame somebody for enjoying their day and wanting to share that joy with others. I am gonna shame somebody for getting excited that they're updating the concrete.
I'm so happy this video exists. I felt like a lone asshole when it comes to shitting on Disney adult vloggers. My gf and I watch Paging Mr. Morrow and Super Enthused fairly often and although both people seem very nice, there's something about adults acting like little babies that sends my brain back to caveman times. I highly suggest watching Paging Mr. Morrow on stream sometime.
Honestly the only Disney adults I can stand are the ones that actually review the theme parks and give advice on how to navigate them/what’s worth spending your money on. It sounds absolutely crazy to say, but as someone who has been to Disney (both in Florida and California) many times, Disney outright refuses to make their park experience easy on the average guest. Being an adult with a video camera at Disneyland is only not cringe when you’re doing it to help people not have a mental breakdown over trying to comprehend the convoluted way Disney runs their parks. ESPECIALLY in the post covid era, in which Disney had decided they care about making money and not sense.
I actually asked the workers at the gift shop in Disneyland Paris how they manage to stay sane with the looping Avengers music in the background and I could tell they were fighting their employee training when they answered through gritted teeth “oh, no, it’s fine! After a while you just tune it out!” 🤣🤣🤣
i work at a theme that isnt disney and i straight up tell people it feels like they play the same songs in a loop like a government experiment to see how long we'll last before we go mental - which a few of us already have
My girlfriend and I went when we were down in Florida for a wedding, and the one thing that stuck out the most to me was the amount of grown older men with high end cameras and no family or kids with them
Why is it weird to take pictures somewhere millions of people take pictures? Also how do you know that they don't have other people with them? Did you follow them all day to confirm?😊
It *fits* our particular malaise, doesn't it? Like in Dragonball, when Frieza went to HFIL, and his punishment was just singing and dancing critters. A cake-walk for you or I, but to him it was torture tried and true.
My family moved to Florida when I was in 2nd grade and all my friends were like “oh wow I bet you’re gonna go to Disney like every weekend!” and my parents made it abundantly clear that we would never be doing that because it was overpriced and boring. I used to think they were mean for doing that but now at 30 I totally understand why my lower middle class parents didn’t want to spend their hard earned money to stand in line on the hot crowded concrete with a bunch of fanny pack families and crying children
Disneyland is fun if you have a season pass which is not that bad when you do monthly payments and if you compare it to people like my friends who go to every festival ever which are 300 dollars and up and you go every other month to stand in crowds squeezed to death with sweaty stinky people then Disney is really not bad but again i like it with a season pass because i go for 3-4 hours a day and do a couple things and go home but i would hate being there for a full day the truth about Disney and how expensive it is there is really overstated when really everything is gonna be expensive to do like if you vacation for a week it’s a thousand and up if you go to festivals like raves and that’s your thing your spending 300 and up i mean shit people spent thousands for Taylor swift tickets also sports games etc all that shit is expensive but Disney is really not that badly priced in comparison and the whole long line stuff too is overstated like for example when my friends and i went to comic con shit was packed i feel like it’s really just your mindset most shit is gonna be a 100+,packed,hot, expensive foods you honestly might as well stay inside and sleep if you aren’t gonna spend money
Maybe this "obsession" with Disney is this guy trying to hold onto the last thing that brought him any semblance of happiness; there's some signs that this dude is _not_ in a good place. I hope he's doing ok now.
the more you hold on the worse it gets once you let go, and you have to let go, maybe that's why people cringe at that idea, we have a perpetually juvenile society, nobody wants to grow up, so they end up becoming adult children and you know what? it sucks both ways, but one implies strength of character, facing shit on your own terms instead of being perpetually lost at sea, holding on to the fetishes of your childhood until you die
@@jforozco12I wish people were more juvenile. Adults suck ass. I love people with "childish" qualities. Just like those obsessed with Halloween or Christmas. Growing up isn't leaving stuff behind, but adding experiences to your life. There's no prize for being the most "grown up" adult.
My wife got the web shooters for our 8 year old while they were at Disney this year. While there, she video called me and I swear that dude was there and being an absolute creep with people. Interjecting himself into conversations and just being an overall weirdo. Web shooters are fun though. She did not buy the wakanda forever jerk off aid. Big sad 😂😂😂
I’m 24 and never was able to go as a kid. I enjoyed the handful of times I’ve gone now as an adult, but man I do have to agree that adults whose world revolve around going to Disney’s parks is super cringe and weird.
Just the fact this guy said “it’s 34 dollars” when it said $34.99, just goes to show how deeply involved this man’s psyche is influenced and deluded by Disney.
Papa Hamburger’s humor mixed with the editing touches is perfect. The volume reduction when he did the Lightning McQueen joke had me giggling like a child.
my ex wife is a disney adult. In the 3 years of owning annual passes we went river 436 times. Disneyland is Kurt Cobain pov magical after driving 2 hours each way for one full year of going to Disney. I would rather have Olive Garden's endless breadsticks shoved up my ass while a sounding rod of alreado sauce goes in than go to Disneyland again. (sorry for food imagery I'm just really hungry lol)
I dated a girl that was a Disney adult. Every single object in her room was from Frozen or one of the other Disney princess movies, and she would non stop send me songs from the movies that made her "think of me". I really shoulda noped out after she said "I love you" on the first date, but I caved into my loneliness and boy.. did I screw up lol. Wild couple of weeks that was.
I feel like there is an obvious overlap between people obsessed with movies about teens falling in love with the first opposite sexed person they see and people who show inappropriate levels of emotional attachment to someone early in the relationship.
In my experience, people with Disney obsessions are desperately trying to relive the childlike wonder and magic that came with going to Disneyland or seeing Disney movies. I get the nostalgia, but people like her with such a crazy obsession is a huge red flag. She never grew up.
theres another wrinkle to the disney adult phenomenon in that they get overly critical of disney since they have their whole sense of identity and happiness invested in it so they expect them to be miracle workers 24/7. They meltdown over things out of their control like random food a kid dropped, and it takes a while for a cast member to see/clean or some peeling paint. When your a kid you would filter petty shit like that out cuz you were taking the park in. Familiarity breeds contempt and disney adults are often the most contempt.
“familiarity breeds contempt” while that’s true most of the time, there are plenty of people who are perfectly happy doing the same things on repeat because they find new ways to experience that same thing… it’s kinda like playing a video game: if you play the same game the exact same way over and over again it can get boring, BUT there are always more than 1 way to play a game: you could set restrictions/challenges/speedruns for yourself, you could try taking a different path to the same ending, you could seek out a different ending entirely, you could attempt to obtain every collectible, you could play on different difficulty settings, you could use mods, etc… while familiarity *can* breed contempt, you can always make things interesting through trying new things… if you’re in a relationship you can travel around the world and go on plenty of romantic dates to keep things interesting, if you have a job you can volunteer to participate in new projects to keep yourself challenged, if you’re living in a city you can go to new buildings/facilities/businesses around the city to experience new aspects of your city, etc… oh, also, don’t try and do everything all at once: it’s much wiser to take things slow, and do one thing at a time because *that* is how you keep yourself from getting burned out too quickly… when watching a show you should only watch a handful of episodes a day, rather than binging an entire season every day; when dating someone you should dedicate each date to a different activity, rather than doing too many activities in one date… take your time in life: allow your life to span across several years, rather than trying to condense your life into the span of a single week
@@touch_me. that is a valid point you brought up. Though I would argue it's not always a 1 to 1 comparison. With your average guest who visits Disney Land, that does make sense. But these hardcore Disney Adults take the smallest of inconveniences way too seriously, because they *expect* the park to operate exactly how *they* want it to operate. It would be like playing Super Mario Brothers for the 50th time, and then, out of no where, you hear Mario screaming at the top of his lungs because the ground was too dirty.
Nothing wrong with liking something. But once you're obnoxious about it, then it becomes a problem. You can like stuff that's technically for kids without being emotionally immature.
@@touch_me. my man I am thoroughly dissapointed... i expected a disney adult rant in your first paragraph, not a plug for Fallout New Vegas lol. (seriously though damm good insight and thoughts)
Dude, I took my daughter to Disney California back in June. It was a fucking nightmare. She hated it and I hated it. Mainly due to how long lines were and I hated how expensive everything was. Way too crowded. By the middle of day two, she just wanted to spend the rest of the vacation at the hotel pool. She’s 8 so she’s the prime age for someone to love Disney but she was just bored the entire time. I don’t know how an adult could love that place, I’m 37 and was looking forward to it but once I was there reality hit me in the face. Place sucks. Maybe Disney World is different.
Same experience with my daughter this past spring. We ended up staying at the hotel pool and last day even going to the beach instead . Disneyland CA is god awful , not what I remember when I was a kid. Only reason we got on any rides was cause I paid the fast passes ,which I only did cause I figured I spent 900$ on passes we might as well ride something.
@@Boggrott I didn’t even think about the fast pass. My kid didn’t even want any pictures with any of the characters or autographs for her autograph book. Other than swimming, the only thing she enjoyed the entire time was the Princess makeover thing and buying an expensive crown. She also had more fun taking her first ride on a plane to get there than any of the rides there. I went when in 1996 so it’s shocking how short the rides are in comparison to the length of the line as an adult. I did notice a lot of those older Disney adult fans this video talks about it and it was just bizarre to me. I also noticed my kid and my sister’s kids aren’t even really into Disney stuff like kids were when I grew up…people can shit on TH-cam all they want but the current generation of kids love it. I think they would have been way more excited seeing a TH-camr they watch than they would Mickey Mouse or Cinderella. Most kids at the park seemed so indifferent to all the costumed characters walking around lol
At the end of last summer, my wife and I took our 4 and 8 year old kids to Disney World in FL. At the end of the day, we (regretfully) found ourselves in yet another gift shop, and as I’m in there trying to fend off my rabid kids every 3 seconds who want me to buy them yet another completely random and horribly overpriced piece of crap, I saw a bunch of Disney Adults forming this massive line that snaked out the door. They all seemed to be facing a woman who appeared to be restocking one of the shelves. I asked someone in line what they were waiting for, because it seemed important, and like 10 of them yelled “HALLOWEEN STUFF!!!” And I tried not to do it, but the urge to audibly laugh out loud and shake my head in disbelief was involuntary. I just couldn’t help it. They were chomping at the bit to get first crack at Disney Halloween stuff. Like, they probably formulated explicit and highly orchestrated plans for being at that exact store at that exact moment in time to face that exact shelving unit to purchase Disney Halloween items. Just think about that.
You see, I totally get doing this once in a while. Doing it once in a while is fun, it's exciting! And then you take your treasure home and have it and the fun memories you have of finding it. But dear God, these people will do that several times a season.
It does make me kinda sad as a person who never got to be a Disney KID, I wish I could go there and feel the joy these people feel. I know I'll just be underwhelmed.
@@MEDICUS729see I thought it was fun but yes underwhelming and even in 4th grade I realized they kinda just aren’t worth the money for it, at least like staying at the resorts and shit. most people die from starvation or related problems as children. be happy you probably didnt even have to skip eating for two years to be able to buy your first car
It’s amazing because even as they’re watching your video their brain damage is so incurable they leave replies like this “Omg i’m like completely void of reality”
Hey man, Big Disney enthusiast here. Honestly I do think that statue is 3D printed that you showed in the video. I can't believe they'd betray our hopes like that.
I enjoy going to Disney as a grown man, but am always blown away at the majority of adults who are legitimately excited/crying while standing in a 2 hour long line to take a picture with some guy dressed in a Stitch costume
It's unfortunate that people have to tell their viewers not to harass people. Like it's not a big deal to rib someone you don't know, but some bungholes just take it way too far.
Publicly berating them is perfectly okay but leaving a comment on their video is too much? Lol he shits on this guy for 20 minutes. He’s just as big of a piece of shit as any viewer who would harass him
The cruelest thing about Disney is that they spent the last 100 years conditioning these people to consume traditional romance, while simultaneously ensuring they will never be a desirable partner.
I feel like Disney is fun every once in awhile. I went to Disney in high school for the first time and went again as like a 30 something year old with family. I likely will not go until I have kids old enough to remember the experience. I feel like going multiple times a year would just suck the joy out of it.
I remember when I went to Disney World in Florida for my senior high school trip. I was having the time of my life. Riding fun rides, eating Mickey Mouse shaped waffles for breakfast, meeting my favorite Disney characters. It does make you feel like a kid again. But then my friend told me that there was a huge earthquake in Japan that killed a lot of people. After that, the weird dissonance I felt throughout the rest of my time there was weird. I'll never forget that. Lol
@@TheStickyB10 Well, that makes sense. There is too much dark shit going on in the world to care about it all, but when it hits you or one you care it becomes real. Too bad it ruined your experience, hope your friends were okay.
Nice to see Papa Meat gave Disneyworld a shot for himself, but he's definitely right about keeping it a once-in-a-decade sort of thing so the "Disney experience" doesn't lose its lustre.
Paying 20$ for a beer to then stand in line 3 hours for a 3 minute ride is not my idea of a fun vacation. Small parks over very priced Disney anyway for me.
simply making the line longer is enough to warrant a stfu and let the kids enjoy it. I get it if you never went as a kid or w.e. ya makeup in your head to justify it but once youve gone as an adult wrap it up and go to universal like the rest of us ya weirdos@@johnmcclatchy

I wouldn't say that I am a Disney adult, but I must admit that I freaked the hell out with excitement the first time I got to see The Haunted Mansion in person. I'm a huge special/practical effects nerd, so it was pretty amazing seeing all the cool effects in person. I also was excited when I visited Galaxy's Edge. That shit was cool.
I’m a Disney fan who is 19, but I don’t associate with Disney adults because they bullied me off of insta when I was 13. They did it over because I had a dedicated page to the ride It’s A Small World at Disneyland. Once I left, and deleted the page, they celebrated bullying me. The Disney adults who bullied me posted pictures in front of the ride with captions “We are here at our magical place and our favorite ride!!”
My gf in college and her mother are 100% Disney adults. They go, dress up and do every single thing that is available. For 3 people they ended up spending $2k each back in 2009 for like two days. What a weird experience it was. Going around the world was cool though at Epcot, drinking a beer at each place.
I'm happy this guy is so blown away by everything. My brother is the same, he just had a baby and he's already booked a disney vacation for when she's old enough, and I've been invited along. Luckily my love for my niece trumps my hatred for Florida
there's something so unsettling about the Disney parks specifically. The bright plastic, weird gaudy feel of everything is so sinister to me. Even before you add in the fact that so many of the workers are mistreated, encouraged not to upset guests even as they're SH-ing or SA-ing them (because God forbid the magic is dampened even for a moment✨🌟💫).
Truth be told, coping with being dragged to Disneyland constantly involved me digging up the crazy history and deaths in the parks. There’s definitely something dark behind the facade.
I was going to make a joke about the most unsettling thing being the 3D printed stuff, but after reading the latter part of that comment I just feel bad…
There’s Disney adults and there are people who happen to be adults who like Disney One of them are creepy, weird, awkward, and annoying as shit, while the other one is just people who do normal people things and aren’t the ghosts of Walt Disney’s enslaved board members
I went to Disney World when I was 6, and I was kind of over it after a few hours of waiting in lines. Shitting my pants in the big golf ball at Epcot was probably a contributing factor, but me shitting my pants was an expected part of our family vacations.
I went to Universal studios for the first time in my life when I was 21 with a friend who was 20. We are both from Ukraine and we’ve never seen anything like this, we’ve never been to an amusement park of this caliber . Anyway, we were soooo excited! We looked like we were having a fever 😅 laughing and pointing at everything in amusement. I felt like a child again and it was unbelievable. I didn’t care if we looked cringey , you guys probably don’t realize how unbelievable your amusement parks are for someone from abroad. It was the best day of my life and I am so happy I wasn’t spoiled with attending other parks prior to this .
You and your friend sounded like you had a great first experience! But when you are a guy in your 30s alone and youve been like 50 times its a bit much.
I've been to Universal Studios a few times in my life and I liked it. Hated all the lines and so many people, but I don't regret going. I couldn't imagine going every week or even once a month, though.
As a millennial that can't afford anything..-and who grew up poor listening to other kids talking about going to Disney.. I do understand the certain percentage of adults like me who might get to eventually afford going for the first time, and just being excited about finally going and experiencing it all. I've been to SIx Flags in Georgia and Carowinds, but it doesn't seem like either hold a candle to the immense offerings at Disney. It would be an overload for sure. I've heard other TH-camrs and a whole lot of Boomers saying people in their 30s and such shouldn't even be there unless they have kids. Just let people enjoy things, holy hell. Life is depressing enough as it is. (*NOTE* that's not a jab at Papa Meat specifically. Only at the idiotic gatekeepers against fun.)
As a Disney adult who’s never watched that Vlog channel before, this video making fun of him is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while. You had me in tears. I blew snot into my Frosty. As a psycho who’s a big fan of these parks (I even worked in the college program) it was hysterical to hear one of my favorite TH-camrs witness this insanity from the outside. You really should make a toon about Disney adults. It would be the funniest thing in the world.
😂😂😂 At least you're self aware of it ❤ A lot of people aren't aware that their psychos. I always love someone who can be aware of their psycho traits. Being a disney adult(psycho trait) past a certain age is fine as long as you're self aware.
Took my son to Disney World about 2 years ago and it was just strange. I saw very few children and more adults just taking selfies, harassing workers and buying so much merch. I actually got weird looks just chilling on my phone while waiting in line to ride something w/ my kid. Everybody else was going crazy waiting 3 hours in line... I was bored as fuck.
@PeachFlavoredKaiju The only fragment of an explanation I can think of is that it happened coincidentally in the past, and the kid got free tickets for life. Some weirdo could see that as reason enough to give birth in a food court.
@@PeachFlavoredKaiju There's a myth floating around the internet that if you give birth at a Disney Park you get free tickets for life or something like that. I don't know if it's still widely believed, but for a while that's why people would try.
One of my dad's fondest memories was when my family went to Disney World in the 90s, when I was six. I'd been so hyped from all the commercials on TV that I didn't sleep at all the night before. Then we get there and it was nothing but long lines because it was summer and crowded and while waiting in lines for a ride I, tired and overheated in the blazing sun, looked up at my dad, pouting, and said "The TV lied!! 😡" In the end, we had way more fun at Busch Gardens Tampa a couple days later.

Actually though? You couldnt pay me to participate in any of this. I like fun as much as the next loser but NONE of this looks fun, especially the crowds and how quickly they reopened as soon as the pandemic settled down.
I took my daughter to Disneyland a few weeks ago. It was all adults everywhere. The lines were all very long and full of 20 to 30 somethings decked out in Disney gear. There are still kids around but the couples without children truly dominate Disney now
Thats because we take ourselves and go with friends now instead of family vacations. Many are like me whose parents could never afford to take us and always promised to so its a therapeutic way to make up for lost time and still go enjoy new foods and exotic restaurants and seasonal items we wouldnt normally have access to in our own hometowns
i think this could also be bc of pricing. they got rid of kids ticket prices a few years ago but i think they realized less kids were going so they are adding a $50 kids ticket in january
@LeftlineJumper that's nice for you but Disneyland to me is all about children and now adults make up the majority of the lines. My poor daughter could only go on 4 rides all day
@@LeftlineJumper actually most people I speak to it is the case. There are so damn many adults without kids there now that one of my friends didn't renew her passes with her family. I guess that's good for Disney adults

Man i feel this. My Girlfriend and her family goes literally once or twice a year from thousands a miles away and over react everything. This year alone they've been 3 times and makes no sense. I mean if it’s once a year and miles and miles away I get the overreacting thing cuz you enjoy it so much and it’s more special, but the amount of times that these other adults go is insane
@Coffeecat_24 yes!they been like 7 times total is insane and nothing haven't changed. Just paying for overpriced food and waiting in lines is what you'll do the most there
@@dacampernoob ive been like 4 times now (over the course of 6 years so not that fast after each other) but I really like it, I get why Disney adults enjoy it so much (I also have an autism pass so I can skip lines- I mean not get overstimulated so I can enter rides much faster) and I feel like if you have that it makes the whole experience much much better
Exactly it's not real happiness, just extravagant coping over something traumatic that happened to him in childhood, probably sexually touched or something.
I’m no Disney adult but as an observer, I can easily break things down into simple terms. There is a fine line between an adult who enjoys going to Disney and a Disney ™️ Adult. An adult that enjoys going to Disney is just one that literally goes, walks around, get on rides, regretfully pay for food, take like 4-5 minutes to look at the main street parade before leaving the park. Now a Disney ™️ Adult will pin point every single detail down to goofies flyer that somehow has a hidden Mickey engraved

I agree with meat, i wish i could be this excited about something this mundane. This is basically just a water park with disney characters, but this guy feels like he stepped into a disney movie
Let’s not forget that Disney has events marketed to Adults, like drinking around Epcot and the food and wine festival. I know Universal used to have an after hours for adults that I remember thinking, “I can’t wait to check that out” when I grew up. Also if it’s not obvious that adults spend money, not children. Millennials now have the buying power, I’d argue Disney’s marketing strategy for folks to be Disney Adults was established when us millennials were children.
I think a lot of disney adults are just trying to heal their inner child. Many of them were probably very diff growing up and now they have found something they really really really enjoy. A little too much? Maybe. But it's not hurting anyone except maybe their wallets a bit lol

@@AIopekisI don’t know if I quite qualify as obsessed but I’ve been there a ton and I love it. For me it’s not about the characters or movies but just the theming and rides in general. That’s what matters to me, They could remove all the characters and references to thier stories and I would love the place just as much.
16:31 at 6flags ur not allowed to record on rides and idk why Disney isn’t enforcing that as well. If ur phone or camera slips out of ur hand and someone behind you on the coaster goes flying into that object they’re genuinely gonna get hurt
I understand having Disney nostalgia as an adult. For many going there as a kid was one of the highlights of their lives, i know for me it was. It was like nothing else on earth. That said, it is cringey when adults go beyond basic visits to the parks and collecting disney memorabilia and start putting a huge emotional investment in it. It reminds me of child pageants, cringey ass parents being way more into something than the kids.
Yeah, if you were the perfect age (extremely young) when movies like Aladdin or Lion King came out (the originals, not the poopy remakes), you tend to develop a strong attachment to those defining early moviegoing experiences that other generations don’t get to enjoy. Unfortunately, being a millennial who grew up in the so-called “90’s Disney Renaissance” seems to also drastically increase your risk factor of becoming a “Disney adult,” and in that sense I actually envy today’s children growing up with a healthy skepticism of the corporation due to the…inconsistency of their recent output under Igor, Chapek, and then Iger again,.
On the flip side…they’ll be valuable later on. Think about it, anything 20,000 leagues under the sea is rare and can raise in Value over time. I once saw the nautilus model at a comic store going for 2k…
As an adult from the back-end of the world, I would love to go to Disneyland. Once, just to experience it. And preferably with friends, so that I don't feel like a creep.
Yeah I feel you, I never went to Disney parks but I would not want to go alone, partly because of the creep thing, and partly because the idea of the park seems downright dystopic to me as an adult, if I was accompanying like a nephew or small cousin it would probably be more fun cause at least if the park is too much of a corporate shlock for you you get to watch your kid or whatever have fun.
It’s honestly not worth it man. I thought the same thing but being there blows. First of all every single “ride” has like a literal hour and a half wait. Every single one. You will spend more time waiting in lines than literally doing anything else. Second of all everything is crazy expensive. Talking like $15 for a corndog expensive. Third is at any given time rides or attractions will just be closed for literally no reason and with no warning. Ive been twice and one time the haunted mansion was closed, why? No reason. The second time I went splash mountain was closed, why? No reason again! Multiple rides just shut down mid day. Some even after you’ve waited hours in line already. With how much they are charging for tickets and food its crazy how seemingly none of that goes back into ride maintenance. It’s honestly not worth it at all unless you are taking your small children there and even then I wouldn’t really recommend it either.
@@tobydammit6599 to be fair to Disney, long lines, rides shutting down, and overpriced food isn't an issue exclusive to their parks, that shit just comes with the territory, though the popularity of the park certainly doesn't help with the lines and food.

@@1dingerr It's a really bizarre thing only Millennials seem to obsess over, and it's always the ones without kids of their own.
We've all stepped in it at one point or another.
theres another wrinkle to the disney adult phenomenon in that they get overly critical of disney since they have their whole sense of identity and happiness invested in it so they expect them to be miracle workers 24/7. They meltdown over things out of their control like random food a kid dropped, and it takes a while for a cast member to see/clean or some peeling paint. When your a kid you would filter petty shit like that out cuz you were taking the park in. Familiarity breeds contempt and disney adults are often the most contempt.
“familiarity breeds contempt” while that’s true most of the time, there are plenty of people who are perfectly happy doing the same things on repeat because they find new ways to experience that same thing… it’s kinda like playing a video game: if you play the same game the exact same way over and over again it can get boring, BUT there are always more than 1 way to play a game: you could set restrictions/challenges/speedruns for yourself, you could try taking a different path to the same ending, you could seek out a different ending entirely, you could attempt to obtain every collectible, you could play on different difficulty settings, you could use mods, etc…
while familiarity *can* breed contempt, you can always make things interesting through trying new things… if you’re in a relationship you can travel around the world and go on plenty of romantic dates to keep things interesting, if you have a job you can volunteer to participate in new projects to keep yourself challenged, if you’re living in a city you can go to new buildings/facilities/businesses around the city to experience new aspects of your city, etc…
oh, also, don’t try and do everything all at once: it’s much wiser to take things slow, and do one thing at a time because *that* is how you keep yourself from getting burned out too quickly… when watching a show you should only watch a handful of episodes a day, rather than binging an entire season every day; when dating someone you should dedicate each date to a different activity, rather than doing too many activities in one date… take your time in life: allow your life to span across several years, rather than trying to condense your life into the span of a single week
@@touch_me. that is a valid point you brought up.

She’s 8 so she’s the prime age for someone to love Disney but she was just bored the entire time. @@Boggrott I didn’t even think about the fast pass. My kid didn’t even want any pictures with any of the characters or autographs for her autograph book. Other than swimming, the only thing she enjoyed the entire time was the Princess makeover thing and buying an expensive crown. I went when in 1996 so it’s shocking how short the rides are in comparison to the length of the line as an adult. Same thing with my kids at Orlando. Luckily I'm from there so we had family to hang out with, which was more fun.

I feel like Disney is fun every once in awhile. I went to Disney in high school for the first time and went again as like a 30 something year old with family. I likely will not go until I have kids old enough to remember the experience.
I feel like going multiple times a year would just suck the joy out of it.
I would like to try it once, four times, once every season during a major holiday, just to see how they shake it up. But only once.
I remember when I went to Disney World in Florida for my senior high school trip. I was having the time of my life. Riding fun rides, eating Mickey Mouse shaped waffles for breakfast, meeting my favorite Disney characters. It does make you feel like a kid again.
