To the mackie engineers reading the comments. We would love lots more presets. More presets for guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, vocals etc. Also presets for the main left and right output to get that glued polish sound. we would love to see a pitch corrector for vocals and maybe add other types of effects when possible. I just got mine and I love it. There's so much potential in that thing. It is a game changer for real. Can't wait for future updates.

These things are dropping like wildfires, good to see so many different brands jumping onboard.
    Great video, thanks.

This and the Yamaha DM3S are the best digital mixers under 2K USD I've seen released this year. The difference is that the Mackie is much more user friendly and intuitive plus it's $900 cheaper than the Yamaha!
The DM3S does have more inputs and supports up to 96kHz while the Mackie is 24 bit/48kHz which is certainly good enough to record an album. The DM3S is a dedicated mixer while the DLZ Creator is for podcasting, streaming, and home studio work. I will probably end up buying the DLZ Creator because the workflow is great and much cheaper than DM3S. I hope they add more presets and vocal pitch correction.

The Yamaha can also be remote controlled, and has a version that will work with Dante

@@kevinfeeley8406 Yes I know. The Dante version is DM3D. I was talking about the cheaper DM3S. Overall I still like the Mackie UI better even though Yamaha has more inputs. To each their own though. ✌️

I would love to see a demo just using this as mixer for a keyboard player in a live gig situation, although it's branded for podcast. As a small digital mixer this could be perfect.

My thoughts exactly... use it in a live pa setting. That's what i want to use it for... not a podcast. I want something compact with new features like touchscreen and Bluetooth but comparable to like a zedi 10fx or a profx v3. Small, compact and not overly expensive.

That microphone certainly didn't like Jack getting all close and personal as one would with a dynamic stage microphone. 😃

13:21 How would this be achieved, I'm curious (the band member playing the bass bit into the mixer remotely)? Cheers! This looks amazing and sounds really nice! 😍

wow great video on the Mack .... Give me an idea about compression, which of all is better for making podcasts while reading? 7b comp, heavy, light, mid... as right now is on 7b comp. thanks again

Does the DLZ work to Fat32, so wondering if it will chop clips into smaller clips which you have to stitch together?

I like the idea that of using this for podcasting live, but that I can still do home recordings, of my piano, or with piano/voice. The idea that I don't have to be attached to my computer. I generally record onto hand-held digital recorders like the Zoom recorders. This is sort of the same idea except gives me ease of access to controls and settings. I think the Acoustic Rabbit Hole is going to take the leap of faith here and dish out the dough! Somebody stop me!

I was getting ready to order a Boss Gigcaster 8 when I saw this. I like the vocal and guitar effects on the Boss but am not crazy about the screen or somewhat limited inputs. I would only be using this for my living room setup which consists mostly of a digital piano (in stereo), a mic (sometimes 2), a guitar (in stereo) - hooked up to my Mac Studio.
Is anyone familiar enough with both the Boss and the Mackie to point me in the best direction? Thanks in advance!

1 have a question about the DLZ creator, when I record it on multi track on the SD card. It splits the audio after 18 minutes of recording an hour podcast can be split into four different portions.
Have you found out to be an issue or work around for it?

I see that the DLZ has a pretty nice EQ in advanced mode. Does anyone know if the DLZ has some type of RTA or would we still have to adjust by ear or use something like a DBX Driverack PA+? I don’t trust myself to try flattening my room by ear and it would be nice to not have to use something like a Driverack or MiniDSp.

    Hi, I need some advice. DLZ creator won't load my SD card. It's 256GB - 170MB/s - 10 - V30, you don't know where the problem is?

I have both and I had RCP for 4 years. The DLZ is better for my radio station streaming and podcasting. Sounds better. Screen use is awesome and very responsive.

I'm really thinking about getting this mixer. When and if they ad a voice pitch control like how it is on the GoXLR, then I would like this mixer even more.

  • @logemann74

judging from what i have seen in this video. The touchscreen and general responsiveness is a nightmare.

I bought one of these at full price on release. Thought it would be a great upgrade from the Rodecaster Pro. Looks great and looked full of features.
Reality, build quality for a mixer at a near £800 price point was terrible. It rocked on the desk and didn’t sit flush. The faders are really cheap plastic and not built for purpose. The touchscreen was very slow and unresponsive. The microphone processing sounds dreadful. (Neumann TLM 103 and U87)
The sound pads are small and unresponsive and no onboard storage means you have to use an SD to store your sound files which is so fiddly.
Mix minus on this is awful, I record into a professional online radio software and the levels were horrendous.
I had massive high hopes when I first saw it, I want something a bit more substantial than a Rodecaster with all the features.
Sadly this isn’t up to it and thankfully returned the next day.
Maybe the DLZII will be much better.
Please improve as I really think the vision is right.

the sad thing is that all these brandsare ajusting to what people want, they are making all these products with touch screens and so on... blind content creators like me will be automatically excluded. I'm experiencing a intense increasment of musical products (mixers, field recorders, workstations, voiceprocessors) with touch screen interaction. Everything is getting visual, also music...

Hey, I’m another blind person here who’s used quite a lot of interfaces and mixers. Let me know what sort of content you’re making, maybe I can nudge you toward some accessible options.
