This is gorgeous. Imagine how stunning 3 more of these would be creating a complete flower. It would be an absolutely AMAZING piece of wall decor artwork.
As easy as you've made it look, I'm pretty sure mine will still look like it was made by a 4 year old. Great job though and easy enough to at least try.
PEOPLE, give yourselves more credit!! You don't know until you try, and it is fun, too! You can pick up cheap canvasses at £/$ stores, and at charity/thrift stores and if they have pictures on just paint over them with white or black paint or Gesso. This way you can play til your hearts delight, and find what works for you!
For myself, I think it looked floral before you drew the lollistick through it. After, it reminded me of feathers bunched together to look like a floral! Either way...technique is splendid and your artwork stunning! Thank you for sharing!
Not trying to be a Debbie Downer here, but I’m an acrylic pouring artist who still has issues with Dutch Pouring (what this type of art is called btw). You have to have all your paint consistencies right and matching- and it makes a difference how you layer the paints from bottom to the top…… and, and, and…… LOL! I watch probably, at least 10+ videos a day, trying to learn new techniques or improve on my techniques. This is a great video if it makes you want to learn more 😊 If you like this…. Look at Molly’s artistry or Olga soby art as these are the two ladies I watched the most when I started out….. and still do!! Have fun and keep painting!! 🌈
GORGEOUS, and my mind is racing with all the color options you use, your imagination is endless. I could literally match anything I need to in any room!!!
Wow! Really pretty. I thought it was going to be like the old school spin painting but your painting looks like a gorgeous flower-way different than spin painting! Very nice!
She said her name at the beginning...Mixed Media Girl. She/they also put a link to her TH-cam channel in the description. She has a ton of cool stuff on her channel. Check out her About section on her channel, too. Lots of helpful links in there.
This is beautiful, and it looks super-easy even for people who may not have a whole lot of paint experience. Definitely showing to friends. Thank you so much for sharing.
Marci a.k.a Mixed Media Girl was one of the first poured paint artists that I watched on YT. She is amazing and breaks down each step so it's never confusing. I've made dozens of paintings using her techniques and paint mixing ideas. I love, love, love what I've been able to create thanks to her!
It turned out great! I like your technique - and the fact that you don’t use excessive amounts of paint… The result is so much nicer! This was just what I needed to see to confirm what I have been thinking. I’m not yet set up to try it out myself, but when I am I can carry on with the knowledge and confirmation I gleaned from you! Thanx
What a fantastic painting. Looks quite easy too. I've done resin painting which takes a lot of time , I'm definitely trying this. Thanks so much for sharing xx
Unf. This is not her idea. It’s a shame she didn’t cite her sources and even the name of this technique so people can understand its not justvher brainwave but actually a whole genre of painting called Acrylic Pour, also called Dutch Pour. Yiu can learn more by keyword searching those terms on You Tube and google. Happy exploring.
Being an artist myself I’m usually not impressed with these videos but I actually enjoyed this. Great idea ! I’m thinking of trying this myself. We’ll done !
