- Jamie had a busy day cooking for the launch of the new Range Rover Evoque, and created this epic Veggie Burger inspired by an Onion Bhaji and the flavours of Brick Lane. It is delicious! He even got to have some fun with the new car too! Check it out...

I've been following this man and cooking his recipes for more than 20 years (starting with The Naked Chef) and he always seems to surprise and amaze me. No other major mainstream chef today is more creative and talented at creating vegetarian inspired dishes that are easy, delicious and nutritious without being a snob. I've been a lifelong vegetarian and his dishes, more than any other mainstream chef, are the most attractive and approachable. Bravo, my friend - keep on keeping on!
I feel nostalgic when jamie look at the motorcycle...and buying his ingridient in the market just like the old days of the naked chef..pls jamie do it once more 😊😊😊
And Oliver's Twist. That was a great tv series, shopping for ingredients on his bike to cook for his friends. I miss that show

@@canucks9220 This was my first cooking show. I absolutely adored it. One of the main reasons I have this huge passion for cooking!
I think he felt much more nostalgic than us... lol...I miss it too. I think that is how he got youth interesting in learning to cook as before cooking shows were so boring.
I actually got that reference when he looked at the scooter. The Naked Chef~ me and my mom watched him and try to make his recipes. Very good memories

I think a weekly vlog that follows him around all week would be a good shout.
Basically Kanda Bhaji Pav turns into exotic Veggie Burger by Jamie Oliver. This is a typical Indian street food!
Is it common to use burger buns without warming them up, because this guy just disappointed me with that.
@@gemgimi5959 We generally use Pav which are softer and smaller buns and and actually we don't warm our buns here either. But I personally like it crisp slathered in butter/ ghee - the way they do it for Pav Bhaji - another street food which has a gravy and crispy buns!
@@gemgimi5959 it's common to warm it up with some butter, everywhere I've seen it atleast. that's how we make it at home too

We Bangladeshis love this burger because it's so easy to make. It's a street food and we call it veg tikka burgers. At home, you basically just put a flat veg pakora between buns with chutney/achaar which most of us already have in our fridges. Loved seeing Jamie make it!

For more vegetarian recipes you should look into more Indian recipes. Since many Indians have been traditionally vegetarians for generations, the vegetarian choices are plentiful.
@Aleksandr Vysockij Then u must come to India. More than 30% of the population is vegetarian. No other country makes vegetarian food as delicious as we do. Period.
If u want delicious vegetarian recipes then search for Indian vegetarian recipes on You Tube. U will get loads.

This was great, seeing Jamie get all the ingredients like how he did in the Naked Chef was nostalgic for me. Including the shot of the bike, even if he didn't use it, it's like a nod to the past from the future. Always remember, always cherish, even if you can't do what you use to do.

I am an Indian n i loved this video. Tip - turmeric is mostly for color n less for flavor. Hence should be added sparingly.

I doubt he'd ever see this, but anywho, here goes. Dear @Jamie Oliver, The main thing I would have done differently is instead of adding gram flour and water to the mixture and the making a patty, I would've mashed potatoes in the grated squash and paneer mixture with a wee bit of flour, mould them into patties, dunk in the gram flour batter and shallow fry. If you see 4:33, you'll notice when he cuts the cross section there is still raw gram flour mixture in the center. Now, I know it's not meat, but nobody likes anything undercooked and pasty in the center.
I wish you would do more of these car videos, it's amazing.

@Pooja Solank said it right. Basically if anyone visit Mumbai or Pune ask for " Bhaji Pan " its generally available at Wada Pav center all around Mumbai, Pune region. And 1 Bhaji Pav wll cost you around 50 cent aka $ 0.50 . Personally I love hot Kanda bhaji and cup of chai with it.
Great recipe! Thanks a lot. You got it done so fast! In my version, I toasted the Pav buns with butter, added a bit of garam masala and also toasted the shredded cabbage a bit; it turned out to be amazing. My family loved to subtlety of it! Thanks again! Looking forward to more veggie recipes!

Ok so if I have it all noted down correctly, the last thing remaining on checklist for me to be able to make this, is the Range Rover Evoque. Now that's one pretty expensive ingredient!
