Great review It's amazing. I just got one and the mpgs are amazing as i travel mostly rural roads. It drives like a truck more than i thought but also handles very well. The seats are stiff but improving.
I got my 2023 Lariat Hybrid. It gets exactly 37 mpg after 5000 miles. There are many things I would change on it. The safety system being the number 1. No lane assist, but constantly telling me to stop for a break and having to push OK EVERY SINGLE TIME I turn on the truck, for instance.
Wow, bang on the average MPG. Good to know it's consistent there! Try turning off the Driver Alert in your clusters Driver Assistance settings for that first notification. Check out this video on the cluster: th-cam.com/video/AFbB8Gpvqn8/w-d-xo.html Have an updated version coming out soon too
I like mine so far. I ordered a 2022 XL. Never got built. I rolled it over to a 2024 XL in July '23 and ended up being offered a 2023 XLT factory order that the buyer changed his mind on. It wasn't the color I wanted, but I jumped on it thinking the strike would probably prevent my rollover 2024 from ever getting built. 2 weeks after taking delivery of the '23, I got the build notification for my 2024 XL. It's scheduled to be ready in Feb 2024. So anyone that wants a gently used Carbonized Gray 2023 XLT with hitch package, bedliner CA tax, license paid for $36K or a newer 2024 XL for $33 (you register) respond to this comment.
Wow, you had a pretty long wait there! Of course you get the notification not long afterwards. Hopefully you're able to find a buyer to flip the XLT to
I ordered an XLT in September 2021. As long as the back seat accommodates my mid size dog and he can get in and out without trouble, this will work for me.
The rear door threshold is 17" off the pavement. My large 87 lb Shepherd-Pit mix was hesitant to make the jump at first after being raised getting into a Scion xB with an 11" threshold. Depending on your dog's weight and stride he or she may need help getting in. I built a 20" long x 10" wide folding wood boarding ramp that stands at 11" from beginning to 17" hi at the threshold. It fits folded in front of the back and driver side set-back.
Loving your always positive reviews! I do have an additional item to add, in the rear under seat storage, and on the back of the center console under the power point are provided places for people to add their own 3D printed accessories and Ford does provide information to interface with those points. A pretty cool idea for personalization.
How does showing a price prove your point lol? The graphic with 2023 pricing shows the Maverick in general has pricing that goes up to $45k US, with this one is priced at around $29k US. Can you show me a hybrid truck with the capability this one has at a price point at or below what the Maverick offers?
@@CarsWithSteve Well a bit of snow could help squelch some of the fires. So sorry that Canada has been hit so hard this summer season...and it' s just beginning. Rain needed soon. I own two Mavericks, just making sure you know all about them. Lotsa bang for the buck they are. I note this sample has an engine block heater....according to forums, standard in Canada, in USA an A la carte option, about $90.
So true, it's crazy how it's a swing from one to the next. Supposed to get some rain out here this weekend . Two Mavericks even that's awesome, what builds did you go for with yours? The block heater is one of the small differences between Canada and USA but they're pretty on par otherwise
@@CarsWithSteve Builds purposely totally opposites. Both 2022 model year. One is XLT hybrid with 6 A la carte options only. Other is XLT EcoBoost, AWD, 4k Tow, FX4 off road with just 3 A la carte options. Waited 8 months for first one, 10 months for second one. All options $150. and under....except for fx4 and 4ktow. Nothing for really cold weather related is needed for where I live.
I appreciate your review but you never drove it. To me a review should always include the test drive as that was what I want the most out of any car review especially since none on the lots to test drive.Fine review otherwise
I'd love to drive every car that I review but half the time they're sold so I'm not able to. With the detail I go into for potential or new owners I'd rather be able to at least showcase the features for them even if it means not being able to give feedback on how it handles - which is subjective anyways
Great review. Only knock would be not to add more costs by adding luxury's not needed. IE all that drivers assist. Please need to learn to drive and not depend on technology.
Thanks! Luxury packages aren't needed but it is a nice option. Heated 1st row is great for winter time, the full size spare is useful and with the Lariat getting heated mirrors and factory navigation is a huge plus
@@CarsWithSteve Thanks Steve. It's 100 degrees in Clearwater Florida today. Heated seats is the last thing on my mind... LOL!!! Keep up the great work. I enjoy your blogs.
Great review

Thanks James! Always good to hear when people are loving their rides. What car/truck did you replace with the Maverick?
@@CarsWithSteve
I usually have two so I was down one. Still have a 2022 VW Arteon. It's a great drive too. Thanks 👍
Fair enough, enjoy the new ride!
@@CarsWithSteve
Thanks Steve
A 14 mile drive got me 53.7 mpg today on rural back roads...hilly terrain.
That's amazing
Wow it has a glove box and cup holders
At least it's more useful info than what's in this comment
You matched perfectly with the exterior of the truck, amazing in depth review thanks for upload =D
You're welcome!

Like it but I still would like the adaptive cruise control instead of regular cruise
I'm a big fan of the adaptive cruise too. Have you had a chance to try out the newer hands free BlueCruise in any Ford?
I ordered an XLT in September 2021. As long as the back seat accommodates my mid size dog and he can get in and out without trouble, this will work for me.
Wait.. have you still not received yours from the original 2021 order?

The best Maverick review ever!
Thanks Frank!
This is so in depth, i like the speed at which you explain everything! Thank you
Appreciate that, always good to hear when people like the pace!
Great review on the Maverick hybrid. Thank you.
Thanks so much!
Great review. Thanks.
You're welcome!
Refreshing review.
Thanks!
Great truck does it really have cup holders,,lol

done 🤔
Maverick red truck video
Don't think I've come across a red Maverick yet 🤔
if i make at least 500k a year, i just might be able to afford one!
$500k to buy a $30-45k car? Have you seen any Caleb Hammer content lol?
@@CarsWithSteve that truck shouldn't even be close to 45k yet alone 30k. The fact you listed that price proves my point.

What part of Canada has snow in June 2023 ?
HAHA was wondering if someone was going to mention that. Surprisingly Alberta got hammered last week

Haha not needing the cold weather options must be great. Nice call on the build choices! Which one are you liking better so far?
$5000 PRICE INCREASE FROM LAST YEAR
I THREW IN THE TOWEL IM JUST GOING TO WAIT FOR A USED ONE WHEN THE PRICES OF USED VEHICLES GO DOWN
I have a buddy waiting on a used Bronco Sport for that reason too. Might be able to snag one coming off lease in the next 6 - 12 months

По русский где можно слушать ето реч..?
Варианта пока нет, но я над этим работаю
All I want is a remote start being in Florida 😢
Should be able to remote start via the FordPass app on your phone!
