After listening to Enda tinkering around with these Clareen banjos I have to take a pill and go lie down in a dark room for an hour before I pick up mine and try to play.
Thank you so much for the comparison, just what I was looking for! In terms of volume/sound, can you make a recommendation for the Clarinbridge or the Special? I usually play together with a fiddle and a guitar.
What is your favorite banjo all time fave?? I think i like the punch an warmth off a dave boyle the few ive heard sound great but i love American style blue grass twang also off some banjos im stuck on whst 1 to get!
I love the Nechville. It has the warmth and the punch. They’ve made a standard length tenor neck (mine is an extra long neck) and the tenor version is really good. Plus the adjustability of the banjo is incredible. Everything is adjustable from neck pitch to head tension on moments. Love it
@@WeBanjo3 nechville never heard of it are they American? Yiur discription is pretty intresting. I need to get a banjo soon as the one I have my fsther made its lovely bit of kit but just lovely seriously difficult to play an get consistency with it plsyibg threw a tune somthing just throws it off an notes just vanish can a nechville be bought here in Ireland?
Yes they’re made in Minnesota. After the Nechville I would prefer an Epiphone banjo or one of the top end Clareens. Clareen have a brand new banjo with black wood and alloy instead of metal and they’re really beautiful
@@WeBanjo3 thanks. I think ill just try an get my hands on few to play an see what suits me best before i splash out. Loving these videos just amazing love how u play this just astonishing. but most of inspiring!
Dear Enda, I've got the Special and need a Pickup because of Feedback, may I ask you what you would suggest, Fishman, K&K or Piezo? Thank you for your Feedback
Brilliant playing! Loving the videos. Keep them goin! One thing I noticed is it sounds like you have noise suppression turned on on your audio settings which will get rid of the sustain in the banjo recording. If you happen to be on a Mac it might be in sound settings / input / turn off noise reduction. Could be TH-cam tho! 🤷

Lovely ornamentation. How you do them triplets is beyond me
Just managed to catch up the day after. Brilliant Enda. Thanks.
A misspent youth. Or a well spent youth maybe!

Always used a Fishman, they’re the most natural sounding and easiest to manage for tone and feedback!!
Is there much difference between the pearl and the oyster?
Yes, the Oyster is a much more substantial instrument, more solid, deeper tone and resonance. Honestly for the few extra euros there’s no competition.
We Banjo 3 I have an Oyster. I just wish i could do it justice. I am looking to replace a Gold Tone replica I have at partners in France. ????
Is the Oyster and Elite the same basic banjo? They sound very similar. The differences are decorations, finishing touches and also nicer wood?

Thanks for the tip. Will definitely adjust that. Appreciate the advice!
Turns out the new Mac OS Catalina have disables the ability to tune off noise reduction. Hopefully it will be fixed in an update
Ohhhh endas an Shane farrell shud start a duo banjo band
