Hey Altin, you too buddy. You and your brother were so fun to meet and very kind showing us the mountain route. We felt honoured to be in your neighbourhood and meeting such knowledgeable and friendly people. Keep Cycling.. 🚴🚴♂ 👍👍
@Steve-Owens, the pleasure and the honour whas all for us 😀. We feel very honoured that you are in Albania and show to your friends and publish about people and how is being in Albania. I am very thankful 🙏 🙌 😃 I didn't whrite you to take a coffee together because i was very beasy. I hope to find time to be again whith you and Michelle 😊
I'd imagine you know just how fortunate you are to be able to explore and wander and soak up all these unique cultures. So many amazing experiences. And your down to earth approach to filming and explorations create the feeling of being right there with you. I love it! thank you
I’ve seen those arbutus strawberry trees in fancy gardens in England but never thought the fruits were edible. Love those trees, so beautiful. Will have to try the fruit!
The mountain tea is the same plant as Greek mountain tea. Until 10 year's ago it was entirely wild, but people figured it out how to cultivate it. The wild tea is the best, it only grows in elevation above 1,000 meter, restricted to southern Albanian and all of Greece. It does not have caffeine like the Chinese/British tea.
The exact name of the fruit is koçimare, short mare en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arbutus_unedo. You should be careful when you eat that fruit because you can get drunk. In fact, some people produce a kind of raki from mare but this kind of raki can give pain on the head.
@ I mean you had some expectations before visiting. Now you are ‘touching’ the country by yourself. Do you like your visit here? What do you find interesting? I wish you had a great stay and we welcome you back again! 🙏
they are called mare they are really sweet and yummy but if you eat alot for example more than 15 + you have chances to get drunked its not tocix is acually really good for your health
They're not toxic! They are just too high in sugar, at 40%, that's why in Albania they do not eat more then 3 or 4 fruits at a time as they say you can get drunk eating them.
It was a great pleasure to meet you, Steve and Michelle 😊 super positive and friendly characters🤗🤗 we enjoyed a lot the time whith you guys 😀

the fruit is called kocimare or mare'.
they are good for making raki.

Pretty awesome view. I've never seen fruit like that. A hand rail, or a guard rail would help. That looks pretty steep. Cheers, Steve and Michelle! ✌️
