In the state where I live, State Highway has been using a mix of salt, sugar beet juice and where needed, abrasives. Especially on bridges, tankers go out and spray the road surface with the sugar beet solution early on when the first snow is predicted then periodically as necessary. Many counties and municipalities are following along as well.
Great video on how municipalities over salt!
Pretty interesting to see the evolution of the MNDOT Plows. The ones they have today are so much more advanced than what they used to have.
4:52 - Arrow truck!!!!!!
Beautiful. Cant get enough.
Used to use “hot mix”. Sand salt combo. Worked great if you were waiting for the loads to come in.
Good stuff🚜🎅🎄👍

At 2:50 that was awesome possum !
At first I thought the first part was snow until I saw it filled up the plow truck
Der Streuer bei 3:50 ist nicht nur völlig falsch montiert, er dreht sich auch noch viel zu langsam!
It would be cool to make a snow house in all that... until it caves in
Laying the salt down thick.
its salt because they need to salt the roads in back of the plow there is a salt spreader
cool love it
that's some sad looking snow removal equipment

WOULD BE BETTER IF YOU DIDN'T REPEAT CLIPS
