Awesome work Phil…your running is excellent for a guy your size…testament to the multifaceted training you do
Love the training vlogs! Keep them coming coach!
Great video! Thanks Phil
Awesome video Daru. Keep them coming. Love these styled videos.
Roadwork baby lets go!!!! Viking Warlord Phil Daru. That cadence is fire!
Some legit training here! Really good content!
Another great video keep the content coming 💪
Really good video. Thanks sir
Great video!
You’re a beast brother
This is one of my faves to watch because at 245 I’m not much of a runner so it’s always impressive to see a nice long distance run. Yo Strong! What is your diet looking like these days? Keep up the solid work and strong foundation. God gives us strength cuz it ain’t easy being strong!
Great stuff bro!,....
Respect that hard leg work. Im into some long and hard HIIT workouts but I aint kicking shit after 5mi
Nice run and cadence!!
So fast and fluid.
Nice work
Beast
Nice work son! 👍
I love your videos , do you have a full day of eating as well I train in da morning and Jiujitsu at nigh a video of diet would be very helpful 🙏🙏🙏
What’s up bro, what sun glasses are they? I can definitely use those!
See a lot of muay thai these days hopefully a program soon😃
To state what should be obvious, Daru would work some of the athletes he trains… man’s built different. Solid job 🤙🏼
💪🔥
How are you able to train so much without accumulating so many strains and injuries?
I’d love to train more and harder without getting injured.
I’ve built a base of GPP for over 2 decades and periodize my training along with auto-regulating when needed
The golden question for us naturals. Not implying Daru isnt. It's just most people will get injured training like this.
The dude at 12:59 winding up that 2JZ (probably)… warms my heart.
Great video! Would really like to see more like these but include a day you train BJJ.
Getting back to competing after the Ruck 150 so it’s coming soon
@@PhilDaruStrong That’s awesome man! Looking forward to it. A video dedicated to recovery after workouts would be awesome as well. Thank you for all the great content!
Cadence is one of the most important factors for sure. Helps avoid stress fractures and Achilles strains
What brand gloves are you using?
What’s that red thing you were using on your legs?
Not a bad day lad!
what are the name of the shoes you had on in the gym
Why run distance? Would sprinting for time ex.1min run 1min jog/walk be better for joints and burn out?
I’m getting ready for 150 mile Ruck March training for distance is needed to improve capacity
Both are beneficial, as Muay Thai is both aerobic & anaerobic in nature. Long-term, your programming should incorporate both at some point or another.
Plus you need to build up a base, and the way you do that is long slow runs. One mile runners, train with 6 mile runs
How are you not burning through muscle/strength by doing so much cardio? I was running 5 miles everyday and started losing strength and size.
Proper programming maintaining protein intake and getting quality sleep
TRT is awesome. Not to take anything away from the effort and quality of exercises or video overall. Same thing with Nick Bare. If your business is your body then you're running some kind of enhancement to speed up recovery more than just dieting sleep and programming although homie is really on point. Perhaps he is an outlier but there is a reason Muay Thai fighters are all lean af. The conditioning is insane. He does seem to take proper recovery from the long cardio seriously too so idk. Maybe hes just a beast. Props either way for Daru!
Phil the 🐐.
How do you know Justin Waller? Are you both Louisiana boys?
Naw I’m a Florida boy but we met a while back. Connection was made through D.P
@@PhilDaruStrongMakes perfect sense now 😂
Take it you guys probably met in Miami.
What are the best shoes to reduce shock during runs?
Shock is good for lymphatic drainage
For distance running I would look at any of the New Balance, Brooks, or Hoka running shoes for general training I prefer a wide toe box minimalistic shoe like Vivobarefoot
Phil I live in FL and I want to train with you. How do I make it happen?
Contact email kaelan@darustrong.com
@@PhilDaruStrong Thanks bud
How many mornings a week do you run?
4-5
Why do you run distance?? Would run/sprint for time ex.1min. on 1min walk jog be better in the long term?
@@PhilDaruStrong Thanks For the reply.
Shoutout to Shorty sorry about your thumb homie! God bless. 🙏
Just looking out for you. Do yoga class each night the most basic relaxing breathing type yoga. That will save your hamstrings and tendons. I swear on everything brotha. Like the yoga classes that more then likely you might be the only dude but they are great classes period for injury prevention. Us guys just sleep on it for no reason.
Have you ever used PEDS no hate just curious.
After my mma career I had some hormonal issues from weight cutting so went on TRT for about 3 years
@@PhilDaruStrong thanks for your honesty. I’m just getting back from breaking 3 ribs from bjj trained about 10 years could say been injured 4 of those years. Do you have any advice on how to stay less injured as I’m seriously thinking of jumping on some peds as I can’t be fucked with the time it takes me to get back sharp again.
Also reason I say this as I know there are allot of guys on the mats that are on peds I feel it’s not a level playing feild for us nattys
💪😊🦁🤝👍🏋️♂️💯🔥✅❤
calves never lie
💖♥️💜😇❤️☀️🤍💙❣️
Congratulations! Just small advice: try not to drop your guard on the opposite side . In a real match is the most easy to speculate error.
I’ve seen fighters lower their arm to gain more power by counteracting the movement of the leg but idk
I believe he competed professionally in mma his form might not be completely perfect every time but he can prolly still crack
@@thedarkestsummer absolutely true for the arm on the same side of the leg. It’s standard in Muay Thai . I was referring to the opposite arm. So if you kick with the right, don’t drop your left arm.
Thanks coach..
lol
I thought you were stopping the tren
Tren lol bro I would be 250lbs
