    Don't worry about the grout not matching. Get something called Grout Refresh or some other quality brand of grout paint and just paint all the grout (assuming it's not the entire first floor that is tiles lol). We used it on our brand new grout when it dried unevenly colored. Not only does the grout paint seal the grout making it super easy to clean but it allows you to change the grout color any time you want with not a lot of effort or cost.
    I will be replacing some tiles today and am not worried about the grout lines at all as I will apply a new grout paint to the whole kitchen. It's been 5 years since I did it before and it still looks brand new but I had made a custom color at that time which is why I need to do it all again with the new color I bought. Having said that if you need to do repair in the future and have leftover of the paint you used previously you may be able to just paint the new grout and not everything else.

    We have moved into a house where about 3 kitchen tiles are cracked, we have found more of the same tiles left in the garden, so hoping to replace them. Don't know who originally laid the floor but the grouting it breaking up too!
    A repair will do until we have the money to redo the kitchen fully!

      Thank you for your feedback. We'll share it with our team. Typically we do not promote a specific brand of tool - however we could provide more general information on the type that you can use.

    i have a question.
    is it important to do this dry?
    or can it be done wet?

      @laticrete  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is important to make repairs over a dry or slightly damp surface. Too much water in the substrate can act as a bond breaker.

    Bro….. What is the “proper adhesive”??? My tile is already off and I’ve cleaned out the old grout. I just wanted to see exactly what people use before I run out to the store 🤦‍♂️

      Not knowing what tile you are installing or what the substrate looks like, you will likely be best served using an ANSI ANSI A118.15 adhesive like our MULTIMAX LITE > laticrete.com/en/tile-and-stone-installation/adhesives-and-mortars/large-and-heavy-tile-mortar/multimax-lite
      Making sure you follow the install instructions and suitable substrates for whatever adhesive you use.
