Initially came to this channel 5 million years ago because Tobias was doing some pretty incredible interpretations of Drake. Along the way he has become a pretty fascinating composer in his own right. This is a terrifically executed rendition of a ND song (most likely about death of course). I really don’t know anyone else who can come as close to the ND tone as Tobias can. I’m all ears if anyone knows someone but for me it’s Tobias.
You do a wonderful job capturing the spirit of Nick Drake. I saw your videos from 2012 too. I've seen others cover Nick but yours are the best interpretations. I have goosebumps.

I think this time span synergizes with the leitmotif of the song now, state of fading and passing Nick was the favourite musician of a well-known actor Heath Ledger. He also suffered from depression, took antidepressants and eventually died of an overdose. Just before his death he made a video on one of Nick's songs, a really dire one to me. A great song! I am also currently trying to learn it. There is also an alternative version of it by Nick Drake on TH-cam, with capo on the 2nd fret instead of the fifth, slighlty different picking pattern and slightly different lyrics. But I cannot find the alternative lyrics and patterns anywhere.

I have the intro down so maybe i dont even need the notes its just when you're singing you dont do the slurs which i really like and instead have anice transition back into another verse. Any chance you could clear it up for me on what you're playing :D
I used the same setup I usually use at home in my other videos. A matched pair of Rode N5 going through a Focusrite Scarlett to Garageband on a Macbook.
