Well what a cliff hanger. Lost boots, no reveal of them legs like you did in the Lake District. However, the most important thing is you got the shots you went for. It was all well worth it in the end.I would have tied my boots as near the top my back packas possible. I would have put my socks in my pack, but there see a womens logic. Well done you are a brave man Sir.
I've just started watching this one and just have to say that you need to either adjust the backpack or get an adult one because that can't be doing your back any good having it that tight around your shoulders like that. My back is screaming out to your back with support ha ha. Only thinking of your health and well being. Also the strap across your neck must hurt like hell when you are walking. Now on with the show. lol Ohhhhhh nooooo you've lost ya boots !! You will definitely have to go back on the next available really low tide and follow the tide out you may even see more off the wrecks and even the whale will still be there !! May take a while to get right tide though unless the tides are lowering more now each day !! Good luck with finding the boots or the drive home may be a bit painful.

Hi @GaryGough Love your work! was wondering if you were happy to share, adding the settings to the photos to give us more of an insight into your style.
Took a break from photography for a while as my eyesight was deteriorating and had got very poor. I have Kerataconus and was struggling as a PMD was taking the clarity from my good eye, which has a graft in. Now have Scleral contacts and can see again. Have missed your videos, learnt so much from past videos. Got a lot to catch up on. Lots of photos to take...... bring it on
Mad as a box of frogs you are Gary 😅 I forsee another visit for you ....mark your boots with a big red flag next time 😉 Images right up my street, minimal with lots of negative space....nice one Gary 👌
well well well am from Northumberland and didn’t know about this wreck guess where I will be heading for a sun rise later in the year (when it’s at a more acceptable time) 😅 cracking shots as per OH and welcome to gods country big G 👍
Well, that's dedication for you (or madness). Perhaps you should have dropped a map pin to help you navigate back to your boots 🤣🤣🤣. Anyway, great images again.
You are unreal ! Is there a video when you don’t mention that you should have chosen to wear your « wellies »?? Will you learn one day ?😂 Also, since you asked : I would have definitely attached my boots at my backpack with their shoelaces !! And watching you now : I will definitely put several plastic bags in my camera backpack from now on on. You will never know what you have to protect some day ! I love your sense of self deprecating humor ! It was worth it in the end, another great adventure thank you !
Thanks for another great enthusiastic presentation Gary. I was feeling stressed myself watching it! Maybe there’s an equivalent low tide like there is very high tides🤔👍📸
I would have turned around. There is always another day and safety comes first. You’re very courageous, Gary! For the sake of your family take someone else with you in future! And next time, tie your boots together and loop them around your belt or your neck.😊 A thriller of a video, Gary!🇦🇺
I loved this Gary, watched loads of your stuff in the past. I know Goswick beach well and didnt know of the wreck but recognised where you were straight away. Keep doing what you do mate great stuff. Pretty sure that area does have problems with sinking sand mind. You need to be bloody careful out there on your own like! Fascinating video though, I have heard about the wreck but I've never seen it or had any idea just how far out it is.
Know its not for eveyone, but did you take any photos of the whale. I know youll not show them if you did. Suggest you lace your boots together and tie them to your camera bag next time. Was fun though watching the end of the video.

Or look at some of the video and see if you could find where you was. Or next time tie your shoes to your backpack and take them with you.
I have to say your entire vlog had me on the edge of my seat, I was convinced the tide would come in behind you. It looks a stunning location, such a shame you didn't have more time. Awesome video again Gary hope you found your boots. I was looking at the link on your gear for the Timer/Intervalometer - Camera Remote Control Cable for your Nikon Z8, when you click the link it takes you to canon photo paper 🤔.
Amazing hike Gary, I think definitely worth the effort with amazing results. Sad about the whale, hopefully it had a good life. I think I've seen your boot's floating down my local river 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Have you thought that tractor might have been left years ago by another landscape photographer trying to beat the tide and photo the wreck 😊 great video Gary your enthusiasm and dedication is amazing .. did you find your boots ??
Thank you xx My boots: Sorry for the cliffhanger... I backtracked to the boat and followed my fading footsteps to where I placed my boots on the sand. It was a couple of hundred yards further up the beach. I called the wife to come and pick me up. As I called here, my phone battery went flat. 😁😁
I was thinking perhaps sticks your walking poles in the sand and put your puts upside down on the top of them so they could be seen when you were heading back and kept dry from the rain. Hope you located them in the end. If you ever find yourself in South Ayrshire, give me a shout as there is a ship wreck here that becomes visible at low tide and would be right up your street Gary, plus its not a tricky to get to as the one you just captured. Loved the images too, the effort certainly justified the results
Love the episode. The chase after the shipwreck. Haunted by the high tide in the water. Could really feel your stress just watching this episode. Thank you for let us go with you in this photo adventure. Good work Gary.
Gary, the last full length video I watched was you at the Mach Loop and I thought,"WOW!,this guy is passionate about photography, I didn't realise "how" passionate 👍👍
It was a build up and characterises a day out with camera in tow, I think Gary did say that he wasn't sure how the scene would turn and whether even to publish the vlog, personally I thoroughly enjoyed it! There's a saying.....“After a day's walk, everything has twice its usual value” I think that's very true!
Good video I liked watching it. Do you actually go out on your own or do you have other photographers to go with you and just stay in the background PS watch out for snapping turtles
Great video as always Gary, I hope you found your boots !! ... I photographed this wreck in 2017 & we parked a fair bit closer, but yeah it was still a long trek across the sand.
That was like journey to the centre of the earth. Something different on every sand bank and water pool. Loved it. I know you’ll be back. Maybe you’ll find your boots in five years 🤣🤣🤣
What a challenge great effort well done when the rain came I would have run for cover 😁wonderful images captured and what a cliffhanger glad you found your boots 😊

I'd imagine that tractor must have been there to drag small boats out to sea, and must have got stuck in quick sand and just left there for all these years, its amazing that its lasted this long out in the salty air

Gary it's just occurred to me there is an event that you would love and that you must photograph at least once in a lifetime and that is the bi-annual Fastnet race which takes place from the Isle of Wight, the next race is July 2025, it is at the end of Cowes week, the culmination being the Fastnet race. Honestly if you want drama and seascape combined it really is the ultimate with enormous potential for stunning photography. It entails staying on the island for a week or so for the best photographic opportunities. You have plenty of time to do some research and trust me you don't have to be a sailing fanatic but it is a stunning event especially for someone like you who enjoys seascapes so much. I reckon your wife would love it too, the island has much to offer! The whole of Cowes week and the start of the Fastnet race are photographically a truly epic opportunity to produce outstanding photography. Just an idea for you. We are going without fail! Cheers.
Well, did you find your boots? As we say in these parts, 'a right nutter!' Never mind elf and safety, or a risk assessment! A truly great story and video, is there another of you walking or hobbling back?😀 Looking forward to a potential revisit at low, low tide!😀
If anyone ever dare question your committment then surely this more than answers any concerns! Gary is the man if it's a difficult/treacherous to attain image! Fair play and great images Sir. Top film. PS re the tractor, do you think she'll start, lol.

Awesome video again Gary hope you found your boots. I was looking at the link on your gear for the Timer/Intervalometer - Camera Remote Control Cable for your Nikon Z8, when you click the link it takes you to canon photo paper 🤔.
Link updated, thank you. amzn.to/4bftCRz
Amazing hike Gary, I think definitely worth the effort with amazing results. Sad about the whale, hopefully it had a good life. I think I've seen your boot's floating down my local river 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks 👍 😁😁
Have you thought that tractor might have been left years ago by another landscape photographer trying to beat the tide and photo the wreck 😊 great video Gary your enthusiasm and dedication is amazing .. did you find your boots ??
Thank you xx
My boots: Sorry for the cliffhanger...
Cheers Scotty xx
Love the episode. The chase after the shipwreck. Haunted by the high tide in the water. Could really feel your stress just watching this episode. Thank you for let us go with you in this photo adventure. Good work Gary.
Cheers 👍👍
Gary, the last full length video I watched was you at the Mach Loop and I thought,"WOW!,this guy is passionate about photography, I didn't realise "how" passionate 👍👍
Passianonate and daft 😁😁
Half the video is about walking and talking 👟 and socks 🧦 off before the photographic shot lot of time wasted
All on my own David 👍👍
Great video as always Gary, I hope you found your boots !! ... I photographed this wreck in 2017 & we parked a fair bit closer, but yeah it was still a long trek across the sand.
It would be interesting to see how much has disappeared since you took some pictures.
That was like journey to the centre of the earth. Something different on every sand bank and water pool. Loved it. I know you’ll be back. Maybe you’ll find your boots in five years 🤣🤣🤣
lol Cheers 👍👍
Brilliant , mad as a Pidgeon. Hope you found your boots ! Keep the madness coming Rich.
Cheers Rich 👍👍
The 'sugar boat' wreck, the Captayannis lies on its side in the Clyde estuary, visible from shore. Might be worth a shot if you're passing.
It's a monster of a boat wreck. Thank you
What a challenge great effort well done when the rain came I would have run for cover 😁wonderful images captured and what a cliffhanger glad you found your boots 😊
Cheers Christian 👍👍

I'd imagine that tractor must have been there to drag small boats out to sea, and must have got stuck in quick sand and just left there for all these years, its amazing that its lasted this long out in the salty air
It looked pretty incredible. It was the last thing I expected to see :)
definitely worth the effort of getting there. I wouldn't have been able to resist taking a pic of the whale. Hope you found the boots
Cheers

Kind of you to say. For the record, you're the first to notice the subs. THANK YOU xx
Great Shots Gary - BUT why oh why didn't you take that amazing e bike of yours just the thing to sort that long trot !
Pete
I was camping close by with the wife and the bike won't fit in the van with all her glamping gear :)
Great video as usual Gary, 😅 your laugh is as infectious as your photography, and please tell what happened the boots 😅😅
Cheers 😁😁

OMG did you find your boots? I won't sleep today. I hope that next time we will find out how it turned out with them. Great video!
lol Cheers
