Pink Floyd also did a live concert in this very same location in 1971. You should also check out "Echoes, live in Pompeii" from that concert. There was no audience, just a film crew.
The concert was in Pompeii, in Italy. David Gilmour was a member of the band Pink Floyd, the best band ever. Please check out the song " Sorrow" from the Pulse concert, from back in 1994. Pink Floyd started in the mid 60's, producing many, many great songs. Hope you react to a few. You'll be amazed.
This was not Pink Floyd. It was David Gilmour on a solo tour in 2016. This show was in the ancient amphitheater in Pompeii. The same place the whole band performed at in October of 1971. It was memorialized by Adrian Maben's movie, "Pink Floyd: Live At Pompeii". If you want to see the amphitheater in the daylight, watch their songs like "Echoes" parts 1 and 2, or the full version of "Saucerful Of Secrets" or "One Of These Days". Of course other great live performances are from the P.U.L.S.E. concert in 1994 and the 4 main band members joined together for a final reunion at the mega-concert called "Live 8" in July 2005.
Compared to the 1994 Pulse concert with actual Pink Floyd which I recommend you watch or react to either way makes this version of Comfortably Numb look like a few kindergarteners waving flashlights around for a light show!! The one they did 94 they had 98 million worth of equipment in 1994 currency!!! And they were pushing 233,000 watts of energy through that light show and sound system!! In other words check out any song from the 1994 Pulse concert which was called The Division Bell tour!!! Oh yeah, and be sure you're wearing a seatbelt!!!!! One last thing I'm definitely not disparaging this concert cuz it's still incredibly great but he's 70 years old here and he does an incredible show for a man that age!!
2 fun facts... that guitar (black strat) sold at auction for $4 million dollars at auction. Also, That guitar strap (XXXXXX) was a gift from the wife of the late Jimi Hendrix. 🎸
You just witnessed is guitar master David Gilmour play what many consider the best guitar solo ever played 😊. For more , watch songs Sorrow, High Hopes , Keep Talking among other great Pink Floyd songs.
Although this David Gilmore performance is good if you want an absolutely fantastic performance then you need to watch the 'Pulse ' version from Earl's Court in 1994 with Pink Floyd, the second guitar solo is widely accepted as the best in the world, IMO this is a 7 out of 10 and Pulse is an 11 .
love this reaction to this epic song ...genius is everywhere in Pink Floyd..........d like to see your reaction about Bruce Springsteen.....Born to run ....live version please listen and enjoy....thanks you are natural and sincere. hugs from France
Dude. You need to get some headphones, toke up and just listen to the album “Meddle”. Listen to the whole album straight through. Then you’ll be ready to react to Pink Floyd.
@@nedrini1055 I didn't say better or worse, I just said finally someone who reacts to something other than pulse. there are many versions of comfortably numb since 40 years but maybe you don't know them and you only know pulse
See the live Pulse version of Comfortably Numb, much better than this by far. And with three original members from PinkFloyd, David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Mason. The guitar solo from Pulse is epic.
In what way is Pulse better? Visually, sure I would allow that but it definitely isn't musically. There are so many mistakes in the Pulse version whereas this one is basically perfect. The solo is better in this as well.
Dont know why you would choose the version ahead of the 1994 version by the band itself ( although minus Roger Waters ). The 1994 concert known as Pulse ( originally the Division Bell World Tour ) is regarded by many to be the greatest musical event ever.......and Comfortably Numb from this much loved event is regarded by many music fans as Pink Floyds greatest moment. Davids guitar solo is now regarded as the best ever......well, i have heard better, but it is way better than the solo on this latter cover by David and a backing band. lol
You Picked the wrong concert! This was NOT Pink Floyd but it was Dave Gilmour on a solo tour. You SHOULD have done the Pulse concert version from 1994. That is MUCH better than this. You still could, if you want to.
This was Fun ❤ I don’t know much about him so share your stories ✨

Thanks for the note! Can’t wait to check it out ! Pheraps , can you please sent me the link so I have it saved on my playlist?
Thanks for reacting to this version as well. While the Pulse version may be slightly superior, I think Gilmour’s Pompeii concert has it’s charm.

thank you for not reacting to pulse's version .....like the thousands of other youtubers...and welcome to the band of all time!
Thanks for stopping by !
Are you crazy? The pulse version is the best version of this summer.

@@fifidurand7421so many good versions to choose
@@nedrini1055 Not if you enjoy the music. This one is far superior musically than the Pulse.

You won't regret doing anything from Pulse.......musically brilliant, mostly BETTER than studio quality and a mind blowing light show.

Will react to the other version too !
