brilliant work john , great videos , i am building the plastic heller victory 1/100 at the moment , one day i will graduate to the wooden kits , your videos are a huge help , thanks for posting :))
You are one mad builder going this far to build the vic !!!!👍😻😂😂😂 I couldn't do what you do!!! Finally got back issues from nov. For termy up to date now!!!
Hi John, I have just one question. Why do you have the same size blocks? 🤔. They should very in size depending on what they are holding/pulling. And they are to get smaller as you go up the mast. That goes for : single, double and triple blocks. Stay well and stay safe. 👍. 😷. 🍻 (first beer is on me). Jason
@@Johnbuildsiconic Its not so much the elite builders but wealthy ones Chris is hinting it will be much more than Caldercraft (950.00 UKP) Worth whatever they ask but will it sell?
I am ready to get the Fore Spar mounted Using the book to get it as correct as possible. The centre of the spar had a heavy rope around it lashed up to the Fore Top There are another 2 lashing 1 either side of the above with a large 3 hole lashed to the side of the foremast and a large twin block lashed to the spar Not sure if your instructions in the magazine show this Not sure if this will help - can i post a picture on here
Currently, I’m working on the yards for the Santisima Trinidad. I’ve completed the bowsprit, fore, and half of the main masts, and if I weren’t so far along, I’d change how I fixed the brass stirrups to the yards. My method only leaves one wrap around the yard, but I like the thickness of your method. Thanks for the tip! I’ll use it in my next build.
Another fantastic video John! Such intricate work.
Awesome video
Great job!! Really enjoying watching.
