- The Ring O' Fire might be the best kept secret in the ultra running world. This is a coastal ultra race which takes runners on an extraordinary 135 mile journey around the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales. The epic foot race is staged over three consecutive days and follows the rugged and spectacular Anglesey Coastal Path.
Almost the entire coastline of Anglesey has been designated an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty". Set against the dramatic backdrop of Snowdonia mountain range, runners will challenge themselves in some of the most awe inspiring coastal scenery in the British Isles.
Beauty aside, the extreme distance and variable terrain has sealed the race's reputation as one of the most challenging ultra marathons in the British Isles.

Congratulations Marcus - not only for that tremendous 2nd place finish, but also for making a superb film about the experience. I love the spirit you show with the locals who are managing the race, the aid stations, and who clearly love the event and its community. There was also a similar, special feeling in your GAX video: the grass root ultras are really worth a lot of love and support.
It was also good to see that your diabetes, while still needing careful control, did not badly affect your race. You help many people who manage chronic illnesses yet sustain ultra running by giving them hope through your example that it's still possible to persevere and excel. Thanks!
I totally agree. The grass root ultras are worth a lot of love. This was a great one that I can highly recommend with a great community of wonderful people
Excellent running! As a marshall on this it's great to see it from a runners perspective!
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the great support Gareth
Well done Marcus you're an inspiration, glad the treatment helped in small way 🙏
The massage was the key to the success and quick recovery. It was remarkable how I recovered in-between the days and also after the race. One week after the race and I was doing serious intervals. Must have been the best recovery ever
@@MarcusKjellberg bless you 🙏
I can’t decide if it will be harder/easier to quit ultra running as long as your videos are around. Probably harder! So impressed over your achievement but also the number of ultras you have done in the last couple of years
Hopefully harder 🤩
Oh wow this is a beautiful film! Had heard of the race before but you’ve helped me place it firmly on my bucket list.
I Will be back. It is great 🤩
Such a brilliant video - respect to all runners - rof is the best - love the dj
ROF is a blast 💥 Love to come back and do it again
Goldenboy doing it again 🎉 awsome job and video
Yeah 💪
Brilliant story telling. I was one of the 20 odd that succumbed to the heat on day 2, but my 1 1/2 days on the trail mirrored your experience - it was stunning.
Sorry to hear about the DNF but just participating in this adventure makes you a winner and you have a great reason to come back in the future
Congratulations for the podium place, awesome race. You´re a one tough guy Marcus. Great video, many thanks for sharing your stories. Kiitos och tack.
Thanks 🤩
Great documentary! Congrats to podium. And also for promoting such a nice, runable and pictoresque race. And keep on running and sharing your way as a ultrarunner.
Thanks. I will always come back to these grass root ultras!
Wow that looked like such an epic experience. I can imagine that the weather can play a big part in that race, to do it in rain and windy weather must be something else completely. Congratulations on an amazing performance Marcus!
We were lucky with the weather for sure. Just as we closed the price ceremony we got some rain and the day after it was pouring down
Once again - amazing job Marcus! And really great video showing the beauty of trailrunning at its finest. Best regards Jesper from Denmark
Thanks Jesper
Absolutely brilliant! Well done. A great film, it brought back so many memories of this race. I've done it a couple of times and its still one of the best races out there.
I can see why so many people come back year after year
Such a cool and positive video 💪🏃🏻♂️🤘🏻
Being positive is a winning strategy :-)
Amazing video👏🏻 quality video and commentary over the three days and still finished second, smiling all the way! Superb

Love your videos ❤ thank you, very motivating to watch, definitely going to try coke as energy drink and congrats on your run 🎉🎉
Thanks for your kindness 🤩 Coke is the shit 😁
@ I tried the Coke on a long trail run in Gran Canary, it is the shit 😁🤩 my new fav drink for those long trail runs !
Grymt kämpat och grattis till placeringen!
Tackar. Väldigt oväntat med pallplats
congrats! Epic!
Thanks
Strong race Marcus! You are getting fast! Aiming for 18 hours att Kullamannen now? See you there!!
100 miles in 20h is still the target for Kullamannen. That will be hard enough
@@MarcusKjellberg Ha Ha! Was just messing with you Marcus!😂 I will be happy with just finishing.
What a great watch and what a great accomplishment! You’re elite now! At least at staying positive 😃
Great crewing as well, but what happened to MikBlos own race?
Thanks. Basically MikBlo had been running a bit too much lately. He did 30+ laps at some backyard race, Ultravasan 90k and a half marathon in the last couple of weeks before the race ..
@@MarcusKjellberg haha that will do it!
Excellent race, and congratulations. Have you ever considered Cami de Cavalls, in Menorca? Runnable as well, from 44k to 185k races.
Never heard about that. I will look into that. Ring of Fire was actually a suggestion in the comments just like this. Great to get some advice to discover new races
So Jasmin Paris was doing this as a training run for TOR?
It turned out to be Katie and not Jasmine
