LOTS OF CHUNK ON TURKEY PEN | PISGAH MTB

Met David out at the Pisgah Riding Stables for another day in the forest! We started off thinking we would hit Avery and Full Black Mountain but neither of us had done Turkey Pen before and decided to try it! Overall the trail was pretty fun but the first half was very overgrown and very up and down. A few of the climbs where not ridable and many downed trees. The second half though was super fun. Lots of steeps, lots of chunk, lots of roots. If I had to do the route again, I would try to park at the Turkey Pen lot, go up south mills trail, up one of the hiking trails, and back down the second half of Turkey Pen. Would be a super fun loop!
