In the #Cabalgata del #Ninot the commissions #parade to the rhythm of #music, disguised and always surrounded by the atmosphere of criticism and satire that surrounds the world of the #Fallas .
In its beginnings, this fallas event included the moment in which the different fallas commissions brought their ninot to the Ninot #Exhibition . The exhibition shows the ninot that each Falla has chosen to participate in the contest and thus qualify for the prize for the best ninot, which will be pardoned and therefore will not be burned.
The Ninot Cavalcade has been held in Valencia since 1935, although during the years of the Spanish Civil War, it was stopped. After the War, the Ninot Cavalcade continued until 1954, when the Valencia City Council decided to inaugurate the Ninot Exhibition days before the Cavalcade. Even so, the Ninot Cavalcade continued to be celebrated until today .
Today the #ninots are not shown in the Parade, since they have been on display since February 2 at the 2023 Ninot Exhibition . Children are also protagonists in the Children's Ninot Parade
The Ninot Cavalcade is held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 . It begins at 5:30 p.m. with a tour that includes Calle de la Paz, San Vicente, Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Marqués de Sotelo and Calle Xàtiva. It ends at approximately 11:00 p.m. At the end of it, at 00:00, in the Plaza del #Ayuntamiento a colorful mascletà is fired .
