- Today is the most dreadful day for Moro and Khoa. She gets spayed and Khoa just wants her back but no everything has to be difficult for no reason. Let's have a moment of silence for loss of patience. Khoa can u stop crying plz. No? ok. Keren pops off about this calendar for literally 70 hours and then Khoa plays with the kids. I’d switch vets, once they start doing stuff without telling you they won’t stop. We had an issue with our vet with this.
Yeah if they're doing that what else are they doing when your not there and leaving your pet alone

Please change vets....you don't deserve that kind of treatment and neither does Moro. Changing vets is easy, the new vet will contact the old vet to get Moros records transferred over. Please give Moro a big hug from my little Sophie!
Girl if I were you this would be the perfect opportunity for you to give some constructive criticism. Explain to them how it’s important to SAY something before going ahead and doing that . You are 100% right , it’s the fact they didn’t askkk first .

option 3 is the most practical since it would be in your view a majority of the time rather that having to walk to a muddroom to update it or check

Get a new vet.... the day they start doing stuff without telling you... it goes down hill quickly from there.

I pick 2 or 3 for calendar because it’ll be easier to write on in one of those spots imo.
For the calendar, Mud room and where that picture is hanging. Easier to write on that angle.

The whole situation seemed so off to me, just the way the vet handled everything. I would definitely find another vet
Kitchen. You will want to check it in the evening for the next day and in the morning for the coming day. You don't need to check it as you walk in or out.
Never heard of a dog staying over night for just getting fixed.

All female dogs and cats stay overnight at my vets and surrounding vets - in NY not sure if that means anything state by state? But since it’s not as simple as neutering they keep all the females for observation I guess - my cat was super pissed off at me for that 🥲😂
Unless you are left handed, I would not hang on option 1, will be hard to write
Option 3 seems more practical since you’ll be in that area more often so it will be easier to access !! ☺️

Man I’d be really upset if they didn’t tell me they were going to take out the hernia too. Just call and ask for goodness sake!!
No way! I would be so glad. It saves the dog from a second surgery (being put to sleep is dangerous, plus another wound to care for, more scar tissue) and it saves her from an emergency situation down the road. I would be very glad my vet did that.

Send a complaint about the vet if it continues to be an unpleasant experience later on. You did not consent to any removal or anything, people could sue for that. Luckily it wasn’t a super serious procedure otherwise if moro had complications they would not know how to answer to you. :( on the plus side notif jacksonistas are winning tho

My family has had dogs since i was born I'm 45 now and I've never heard of a dog having to stay overnight after being fixed none of mine have seems strange to me hope moro is OK.i would definitely find a new vet if I was you

I wouldn’t be concerned about the tears, the anesthesia confuses the pups. My golden retriever was very sleepy and looked pitiful the day of the surgery
Had to put my german shepherd to sleep in December.. So sweet seeing yalls pups.❤ i miss her tons.
Get BIVVY pet insurance!! It’s the best, they cover most of the cost from Vet visits as long as it’s not from a preexisting condition

I would put it in the kitchen but on the opposite wall from where you held it or if there is a wall near your workspace in the kitchen that would be good too. Like where you keep your charging equipment and stuff. If you choose the mud room I would pick the wall with the photo on it. It’s less congested there! ❤️

Calendar in kitchen, we have one on our fridge and we’re all colour coded.
We have everyone’s work hours on it and appointments etc so we all know where we’re at.
There’s 3 of us kids, 20, 18 & 17 so we all do our own but it’s good to be able to get a game plan on the next day over dinner or something when we can see who’s around and who’s at work etc.
I’d find another vet... the whole situation w/Khoa seemed strange.
Omg that would piss me off! I would say “next time you want to do something on my dog without telling me and charge me for it I’m going to call my lawyer.”
i like the kitchen for the calendar cuz its somewhere u walk past all the time and dont have to go out of your way to update it!
They are in so much pain but the best thing you can do is Keep them as comfortable as they can make sure they have food and water keep make sure they lay down put them in a space that you know no one’s really going to mess with her she’s not gonna really wanna get out and do anything

My mom is a vet tech and it is 100% not ok for them to do something without permission. She asks everyday before surgery what exactly they want done and makes sure communication is clear
To be fair if the hernia needed taking out it made sense to take it out when they were already operating, it saves another anaesthetic🤷♀️

I'd say the kitchen. I'm sure you walk past the kitchen a lot more during the day so it's even more noticeable.
i like option 3 in the kitchen. you can really see it and have space to write on it. you’re always in the kitchen so it just seems fitting. and doing homework at the table, you can run real fast to the calendar and see what else to finish.

Yes! I color code. Each person has a color and then things that we’re all doing as a family is in black.

Hey I have 3 German Shepherds. They’re so long that those pillows don’t do much. My female opened her incision a little because of it. Jsyk hope she’s doing well!
I like it near kitchen because the kids will leave from kitchen and it’s easier to write on there than the place in the mud room.
I’ve actually run into a vets office in Florida where they have a form that you sign when you sign your dog up as a patient that gives the vet the a-okay to do those “quick fixes” without your consent :( I’m not saying it’s right but maybe you signed one of those without even realizing it

Hey! I don’t know if you are going to see this but I work at a low-cost spay/neuter clinic in an animal shelter. I just wanted to let you know that it is common for german shepherd type dogs or longer dogs in general to have longer incisions because their uterus and ovaries are up higher than normal. It however is not common for them to perform any service without asking permission first. We always ask before we do anything that wasn’t scheduled but it is a good thing she got the hernia taken out to avoid another surgery. Just for the future you can definitely check and see if there are any low cost spay neuter clinics near you that you could go to to avoid spending hundreds of dollars on a spay. I know a lot of vet clinics are super busy right now so please try and give them a break for taking a long time.
Drs are busy, she could have emergency surgeries! I would get a diff vet because of the communication thing though.
