Hello Pedro, I admire you for what you are doing, it is incredible to see with the tranquility that you travel, the videos that you make are extraordinary. I follow you from Argentina and I have a honda transalp too, I'm dreaming of doing many km! good trip. Saludos
Yeah, lots of flooding been happening in northern Chile due to the Bolivian rain season. Figured it will be a muddy mess on the other side of the border. Thanks for the heads up.
Hey Pedro, where in the world are you today? Hope things are going well. Mate, great videos. Con grats... from 1K to 16K subscribers. I live in Australia and was born in Valpo, Chile. So its been great viewing your videos. Listen, if life has taught me anything it's don't judge any one until you've walked in their shoes. I've done things I thought I would never do, like play lotto...(it is a waste of money, but when your short of money and desperate.... well you know). So you've experienced a lack of money...it happens. When you have a dream, you either wake up and fulfill it or you roll over and keep dreaming. Good for you on fulfilling it! I know that asking for money is the last thing that people want to do, it can feel degrading and have a sense of failure and not something that comes easily. So totally understand why you have done. Mate move on, you are a gentleman and it shows on your videos, especially it can be seen from the people you have befriended in Chile. People will always have a comment and those that do it in a negative way, it's because they haven't gone through that experience. Wishing you all the best in life may God Bless, and here's to a safe trip home.....when ever that may be. Looks like you don't want to wake up from living the dream. My regards to Alp and Rui.
Antofagasta, working on the bike and adding offroad hours on that dune playground above the city. Appreciate the comment mate, it's been a turbulent year but something good is going to evolve out this.
Hi Pedro, Few weeks ago I stumble across your channel when doing a research for one of my bike trips .... and ...wow !!! what a joy seeing your videos. Amazing stuff. Did you ever thought about to contact a Ducth or Portuguese TV channel to sell you adventure ride story. I would give it a try. Did you see " Long way round " & " long way down " ? you're stuff is by miles way better . Looking forward for more videos. ( my next trip Iceland ... NL-IS , last summer did NL-PT )
@@brunobastos5533 he his half Portuguese half Dutch as he explained in one of his videos. His english is perfect like almost dutch people. ( Plus he have a master degree in communications).
Appreciate it Luis, the're a lot of people recording their travels nowadays but who knows. Though it's nice have to the freedom to do whatever. Btw I'm 100% Portuguese but grew up in the Netherlands. Have an awesome trip mate!
Nice. Ended up with Chinese fibers, iffy but a chance to put them to the test. Though came back from my stint in the Netherlands with a set of ebc ones. Feel better about riding into the desert again, a little back up for the chino's.
Hey, I hope everything will be fine with the clutch, all best. What is the mileage of the engine? Is it the original engine from this Transalp (1991)? Cheers, Bart
It got sorted! Engine was rebuilt at 150k, new oversized piston and rings, new cam chains, inlet and exhaust valves cut back to size. Rest is still original from 1991.
It’s purely subjective but what’s wrong with listening to just your commentary and the sound of the engine and the tyres on the road? Why the music? It seems to be considered compulsory because everybody’s vids have it. Is it to cover the short attention span of the modern viewer?

This guy is hard core, seriously.
Man, your Transalp looks like the great cagiva elefant 900. Nice ride!!
8:00 "Does this look like a defeated man?" - The tripod falling over was hilariously on cue.
Pedro, just a heads up, Bolivia is currently under heavy rains and most roads are all but useless, be careful on your way down and avoid caranavi!

Love your videos man, keep up the good work. Ride safe my friend!
Cheers man, nice to see you in these parts. You must be itching to cross that southern border of yours one day and head this way.

Years ago (2009) I put honda 250 clutch fibers on my transalp 87 instead and they fit the same. Best regards.

Slipping clutch: You can put some Washers under the feathers to make them harder! ;-)
Enjoy your trip!
Looks like you have everything but a drum set on the back :)
Think there is still just enough space for the kitchen sink
What year is your bike and what is it?? Loving your channel just found it
1991, cheers!
Pedro Mota 👍🏻
What brand/model motorcycle are you riding?
"91 Honda Transalp
Been meaning to ask... whats the story behind that rabbit on your motorcycle
What’s the story behind that kangaroo on your motorcycle?
That's Rui, pronounced Rooie. Found him somewhere in Australia
sweet ride
You naad a more agressive type profile for the region you are traveling.
Absolutely, has been sorted for the next stint
I like your videos..
You travel alone?
man, you must be killer at riding with pillion by now with how you're carrying your luggage
It sometimes reminds me of a mate of mine who's built like a sack of bricks and tends not to lean into corners
Which model Translap do I have? 700?
91,
Cool
Keep going my man !! Shit happens on the road .....
i´am sure, you take all you can get...enjoy it... :-)

Thumbs down for the loud music compared to your speaking voice.
