To answer your question, no special paper was used for this project-just regular paper printed with a normal home printer. It's quite straightforward but creates such a meaningful piece. I was wondering the same thing. I know some videos recommend laser, but I have watched some that claim it can be done with inkjet. Also "photo transfer medium" is rather vague; some artist use matte gel medium, others claim Mod Podge will work. He seems to be parsimonious with details.
Did a bit of research myself - Photo Transfer Medium requires a "dry powdered photocopier" for producing the image. A Laserjet printer copy produces a more crisp and clean looking image for transfer. An Inkjet image tends to smudge when rubbing the paper off. If you have an Inkjet, then use it; if you have a Laserjet then use that. They can both be used. The lady that did the trial between the two printers passed on the caveat that you don't want to get the paper too wet otherwise you will rub the image off with the paper. The last part of my query was the type of paper to use - just ordinary photocopy/printer paper - nothing special. Thanks again, Sergio, for the inspiration!

As for enlarging your photos at a drugstore, it's definitely possible. But for photo transfer do not use a photo paper, I'm using normal paper form home printer !!!! Have fun with your photo transfer project! Happy New Year !
