Hi Zoe. I'm new to your tutorial. I took a used plastic Scotch tape dispenser, removed the tape and replaced it with 3 roles of striping tape (extremely narrow, very narrow and narrow). I no longer have a problem finding the ends. My fingers don't touch the tape either. I use my tweezers to pull it, then place it down the dispenser, before cutting a strip off using my scissors. I hope this helps you!
Aw Zoe, thank you so much for doing that video, much appreciated and so helpful. You are so experienced and yet once again you have explained it all in beginner's level. Another great video 🙌🏻 oh and as always your nails are beautiful ❤
Hi Renata 😊 I wouldn't use your finger as you'll be exposing your skin to the gel inhibition layer and that can lead to allergies for some people. I agree with you re the furries left behind by cotton balls and pads, it's so annoying. I use the NSI Nail Wipes, as they're pre cut to a good size and genuinely lint free. If I run out, I use kitchen towel / paper towel until I get to restock. That is also lint free (at least it is here, not sure about where you are). It's a cheap option worth a try 😊 Otherwise Amazon would have some, just make sure you search for "lint free" 😊 💜💜
It can definitely be finicky to work with. A few things to try if you haven't already: cut the striping tape just short of your cuticle area, sidewalls & free edge so it can be fully encapsulated with the next layer of gel poliah; put a layer of builder/thick gel polish on top of the striping tape and before top coat; don't use any striping tape that's come into contact with your skin (discard these bits as the adhesive will be weaker) ; flatten the striping tape against your nail firmly with a tool (silicone tool, orange wood stick), discard any bits that aren't laying flat. Hope some of that helps 💜💜

Thanks Caroline 😊 And you're very welcome, I hope you find it useful when you come to use your striping tape 😊
@@NailsbyZoeH I'm sure I will, thank you so much 💕
I love your thumb design, is that a stamp? Great video tfs.
Hi Carmen, yes it's from my all-time favourite stamping plate. It's a born pretty one, bpl-024. Thanks for watching 😊
Thank you! I tried to find it sold out. I will keep trying, it’s beautiful 🤩
@@carmenmartin1820 ooh I hope they get it back in stock for you 😊
What do you use to wipe off the sticky layer?
Hi, I use NSI Cleanse or 100% isopropyl alcohol 💜💜
@@NailsbyZoeH thanks :) can you wipe with anything? Or just rub it on with your finger?
Cotton pads seem to leave furries
