- Jason and Dale dive into this ultralight, 9mm polymer rifle built on the AR15 platform with all the familiarity of the M&P brand. With its flat trigger, interchangeable backstraps, and FLEXMAG system that allows for different types of magazines, the consensus is another winner from S&W.

That mag change-out was so easy, and now I can use for fun plinking 30+ round magazines in my Response PCC rifle and my PSA Dagger Compact 9mm pistol. The bullets and magazines are interchangeable between my handgun and my rifle (that's accurate to over 100 yards). Get in on this people, these are both awesome.
I recently had the option to get an Ar10 or the S&W Response. Because I have kids I decided to go with the Response and we couldn’t be happier….because they can actually shoot this😁Guns a blast!!
Great video Jason and Dale!
Ruger PC9’s already had the choice of ruger mags and glock mags.
And heavier than a shotgun…
Agree! All Rifles and pcc's should include sights!!! No matter if you later decide to remove them and add a red dot or scope.
Not a fan of s&w ar series but I hear good things about this carbine..I'm thinking for this price range there's better choices though
We really did enjoy shooting this one.
Better choices, yes. I owned an IWI/IMI Tavor in 9mm - way too heavy.
I owned a Colt 9mm carbine - too heavy. So l think (for me) this S&W 9mm Response
may be the one foe a lightweight 9mm carbine.
If I didn't already own the S&W FPC, I might have been interested in buying this.
They should have done the Glock mags with the FPC
I’d buy one tomorrow if it took Glock mags
@@DStabs720 me too, hopefully they will update the FPC with Glock mag compatibility, then I’ll guy one 🙏🏿
I do t think Glock makes a 5.7 or a mag
@@keithwilson5296 the FPC is in 9mm though
They come with interchangeable magazine port to take Glock or sw
Ruger was smarter since they have variations legal in all states.
Does it take sig 320 magazines. The sterns defense magwell adapter is for M&P 9 or sig 320 because the mag release is in the same location.
Any chance of a 10mm version?
I hope they made the barrel changeable!
Awesome Glock mags
Kinda like Ruger did with their PC9
Is it endorsed by Tony Shemroske? I will wait for his review.
We can make that happen.
Buffer system?
It needs ambi controls for lefty and weak side operations. Why can't they get it right?
More the merrier 👍🗽🇺🇸
Is the stock adjustable?
It looks to me
Is the lower receiver polymer ?
Yes
Sorry. Was thinking that was their 5.7
Whats the chance it is roller delayed?
I'd say 'unlikely' at that price point?
It is direct blow back
Thanks for saying "firm grip" and not "purchase"
no sights how chinzie
Hell yeah.
Is it plastic
Lol...polymer!
Lower price since it's plastic
Smith & WORSEN. Brand new M&P metal comp and the thing is so loose it can't keep a group. It's being sent back again for the 2nd time and they do NOTHING!
I work at a gun store and I can tell you consistently that s&w qc just feels like their stuff was slapped together. Thought out designs executed well, but the qc leaves something to be desired.
$800 MSRP and no sights...
Same as the chassis model of the Ruger PCC, both cost $800 without any sights
buy front and rear sights that attach to the top full rail!
@@RogelioGify my point was $800 for a rifle you can’t aim. I know sights can be added but for my money I’ll stick with something usable right out of the box
$800 for an all polymer rife? Meh
poop, turd, tell ya hwut - fudd DUD!
Who even asked for another 9 mm carbine?
The multi magwell feature is not something that's too common, I think there's like a b&t that has it, maybe. Too often you have to buy a new frame and go through another 4473, again. S&w is all about smoothening previous innovative design concepts, and bringing them to the middle class market... at least that's how I would describe them.
