Great video Amanda!..I love mine..watch those magnets so they don't get too close..or they can break...I put a piece of Washi tape around mine...easier to pick up...thanks
From my experience you want to keep clear stamps around half an inch or more away from the inner edges for them to stamp well without having to multi stamp.
As long as you don't use hybrid inks the platform is easy to clean. You can cut some fun foam to size and use the rubber side to get a better impression on the clear stamps. I don't always get a good impression if I put the stamp within a centimeter or so of the top edge.
Omg! I just got my travel platform delivered have an hour ago ! And the first stamp I used..... drumroll 🥁..... SAME EXACT STAMP AS YOU DID!!!!!!! #GORJUSS how much do you love this ??? Isn’t it a GAMECHANGER?!! Also love the instant burst of confidence and motivation and determination to pump these cards out one by one - only this time - stamping with absolute EASE!!!!!! Just watched the Tim Holtz video of him utilizing and sharing tips on this exact travel platform. I love the ability to be able to control the complete outcome of the stamp .... what colors to use, how many times you want to go over your stamp(s) in order to control the line width and boldness of certain aspects of the stamp - or overall stamp as a whole. Plus lot more ! But if you chec out that video - towards the end - the lAst technique he shares is using markers rather than ink (his distress markers in specific) but the watercolor effect he used to show us .... was absolutely beautiful !!!! Gonna try it out right now!!! Glad I am able to share my giddy and joy with another fellow stamper who too enjoys and understands my excitement for this new tool that had blessed and changed the lives of stampers and cardmakers everywhere ! Lololol. Have fun. !!! ♥️
I have had no problems with mine. My regular size one is also fabulous. Waaaayyyyyyy easier to clean, not having a four sided lip around it like the Misti !(I have a regular sized Misti but have not taken it out of the closet once since getting my TH platforms. Everyone has different needs and techniques and will always have different opinions. Guess that is why competition is a good thing for humans. Best of luck with your platforms of choice!
That makes perfect sense! Thank you! I found this to be the case with the original/full sized one too! I'm so glad someone finally mentioned this. It bugged me so much because I found that you had to press harder and that was stressful for me because I have terrible arthritis, so I bought the Mini Misti and it works great with their mousepads (much better than the foam inserts they come with too). I hope you are enjoying this!
Hi Kate! I'm glad that you found the review helpful. I really want to like this platform better than the Misti because I love most Tim Holtz products, but the Misti keeps out performing it! TFS, Amanda
A piece of foam cut to that size will help you. I hope you don't mind the tip. Thank you I have some others but it would be nice to have the smaller one to take with me
According to several Amazon 1-star reviews of the larger size --- and my own experience -- the clear cover may be warped. I've ordered a replacement and am hoping for the best. This might have been your problem, too.
@@AmandaMischellDesigns -- Amanda, replacement (used perhaps?) first try was dismal in places different from the other one. Even tried the same clear stamp with a foam pad underneath. Will make one more effort in the morning, and if I don't get back to you, I'll be waving at UPS to send them both back. Aaargh.
Glad you did this review... I own the regular sized Tim Holtz platform, and I have some issues occasionally with it’s consistency for impressions... I’ve been wondering if the Misti works better or not.
Hello. Sadly the imperfect impression you get is NOT because of your mat. It's the platform!! I have it too. It never ever stamps on the first try as Misti or even the ones I built myself lol. Sometimes ever 4-5 times are needed to get a so-so impression.
Hi Rita....sorry to respond so late but I was in Mexico and just got back today. I measured the platform space, and it was 6.5 x 6.5 inches. Thanks, Amanda
Cindy Matthews I went over and watched your video and I see what you are referring to. I’m really not sure why that happens because it’s really well constructed and solid. I like it a lot, actually. TFS, Amanda
Hi! I purchased this as a special introductory price from Scrapbook.com for $19.99. That was no longer available at that price at the time of the video, but can probably still be found at Amazon or Blitzy or A Cherry on Top or Scrapbook.com. Thanks for sharing! Amanda

skmoreau100 I am so glad you found it helpful....I was thinking that it might have been user error, but I guess not. 😇 TFS, Amanda

It's just disappointing, isn't it? I know I wanted to love it too, but I still refer to my Misti more. TFS, Amanda

Looks like you had the same discovery with the mini version as I did with the full-sized one. (I have a video.)dd
