Man this theme was amazing, i never understood why they changed it back, this song is epic, all i can hear is JR commentating on the doom someone is about to face in Goldberg, made it more dramatic!
Narr this theme is awesome and is composed in the same scale of notes as the first theme give or take a few notes played in a different arrangement it's heaps more intimidating than the original which is still a classic wrestling entrance
Reason is that this theme was composed by Jim Johnson which they would have to pay him royalties so they use the old WCW theme because the WWE own the rights to it

They never had a Jim Johnston soundalike! No sir!

This theme was far superior to his WCW one. More epic, more dramatic, like the long awaited confrontation with the ultimate final boss. Better instrumentation too. Shame the fans crapped on this and it was never released.
I have the PPV's on DVD and i can change the language between English,German and French. The German language has the more clearer audio (with the theme but theres less crowd noise)than the french and english and has no commentary until the wrestlers are done with their entrances and then the commentators speak.

I liked his Wwe theme just not this version. I never understood the instrumental bit towards the end and I believe for his first ever wwe match should of kept his Wcw version then after change the theme just like his attire. This version just sounded unfinished.

THIS version of his theme is arguably top 5-10 themes ever. Jim Johnston cooked.
I'd say it's closer to Top 3. Personally no.1 for me. The Intensity and Energy this song is giving off is unmatched
This is by far my favorite theme they made of his cause if that extra bit at the restart point that just makes it so much more powerful
