Thanks for the video! I have pretty wide feet and Uggs have been my go to winter boots for nearly 20 years now... I have tried everything and Uggs are still my go to, everything else either doesn't fit right, isn't warm enough or are just too big and bulky. I guess because of the fur lining Uggs are super warm without being heavy and big feeling! You are absolutely right about socks, they feel weird to me if I wear socks, but perfect without and I have never had a pair get nasty from going barefoot! I found out years ago that you can buy waterproofing spray and treat them the start of the season or less depending on how often you wear them and they will stay dry even in snow and rain. Now I wouldn't walk in a puddle with them but light slush and its no issue, and with my tall ones I have worn in deep snow and just brush the snow off after!
Thanks for your recommendations! I have wide feet and live in the south of the US so I don't usually worry about thick snow but when I travel it helps so much to know how to keep your feet warm and dry. Also love that you recommend the patrol boots. I just got some for my husband and he loves them. I bought some vivo barefoot puffer boots for myself for this winter and so far they are heavenly so definitely check those out if you want another barefoot option.
I am quite wary of flat insoles, with a lot of folks getting knee and hip issues. Any thoughts? If we follow the barefoot - or natural - way of cladding our feet, an insole that isn't too high or low would seem to make sense to me...

@@emilieb3244 oh thanks 😊 I haven’t been on their website in awhile so I’ll check those out.
Decided on the Uggs, thank you!
