No idea about who Jason is but Emily is one the best reptile ambassadors around. If you are afraid of snakes but curious about them, you can't go wrong with watching Snake Discovery. I will warn you that you may end up with your own noodle. They come in all shapes and sizes, and highly underrated as pets.

Esp in terms of space constraing and allergies they're as good as pets come. Small snake requires less space than a hamster. Also less likely to bite.

Their channel has actually helped me teach my coworkers about snakes. My one coworker found an eastern hognose out in the wild (yes I’m so jealous) and was scared of it. Asked me a hundred questions mainly if it’s venomous and what to do if she finds one in the future

Jason, I'm watching "the mix" and I'm so proud of you for holding the huge snake lol even though you were praying you weren't the " snack" 🤣. As Always, great television 😊. I start my day off with your positive, hilarious and beautiful face!! I started watching you on Hulu then found you again on Utube, Thanks so much for all of your staff working and having fun while doing it because it really comes through the medium to us your audience 👏💙🙏🌻

I'm not gonna lie, watching Snake Discovery changed my view on a lot of things. I used to be terrified of spiders and would freak out when u get the rare one in your room. Since then, i'm still somewhat scared but not openly scared like before. Actually got one on a fly swatter I have in my room (it was the longest thing I had that they would probably climb on) and managed to get it to climb onto it once it realized I wasn't going to hurt it. And while I kept it at the opposite end of the swatter, I still released it outside, even when it decided to hang down from the fly swatter while I was moving. I'd have normally dropped it right there but I didn't.
Plus when I went to visit Snake Discovery last year for my birthday (didn't have a party there, we just came to see the store and exhibits) one of the staff brought out one of their ambassador snakes and was letting people touch him. IT'S NOT AT ALL WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT! IT REALLY ISN'T! Even my skittish sister petting the snake (i think it's name was George? It was either that or fred and I only remember because it reminded me of the Wesley twins from Harry Potter) and you'd expect it to be rough or course or something 'cause of all the scales. IT'S REALLY NOT! THEY ARE SO SOFT AND SMOOTH! The most 'common' thing I can compare the feeling to was like when you feel an elderly lady's hand that's just so soft and smooth. Like a silky smooth type feeling! It was so mind blowing!

In the beginning, Jason couldn't even me within 10 feet of a snake. And in this video he had a boa constrictor in his hands. I'm just an anonymous commenter but I'm proud of you Jason. I hope the next time Emily is in your show you'll have no more fear of something as harmless as a non-venomous snake.

The pythons in the everglades are there because of Hurricane Andrew in the 1990s. The hurricane blew down an import facility and released approximately 900 Burmese pythons into the everglades. That's why the everglades never had a chance

Emily is the perfect pereon for what she does. She's a 100lb woman with a genuinely sweet demeanor, who looks like she can tutor you in math. If she can handle snakes and being bitten by them, nobody has any excuse to be scared of them.

"You don't always have to be afraid of snakes... sure." 😂
Jason was an excellent and very brave host for this segment. I think the lady in red on the front row is the only person in the room who could sympathize with Jason's fear of snakes.
It was kinda mean for Emily of Snake Discovery to trick him into holding a snake by himself when he only agreed to hold part of it. 😅 I know it was done in good humor, but poor Jason! I do hope Jason feels incredibly proud of himself because he should be: he was poised, professional, and though obviously afraid, even managed to play up his fear to the audience for laughs by "jumping" onto an audience member's lap!
I also hope Intern Mason is proud of his segment. He should be! It's really cool that he got a shout-out on the air during his internship.
I'm curious whether he knew Jason wasn't the biggest fan of snakes when he planned it.

Oh, Jason. The breeding population of Burmese Pythons in Florida was established in the early 90’s, following Hurricane Andrew. Andrew destroyed a very large Burmese Python breeding facility, releasing untold numbers of breeding age pythons, babies, and gravid females into an environment which heavily mimics their natural habitat, allowing them to thrive as an invasive species. We can’t argue that some irresponsible snake owners likely purposely released their animals, nor that improper housing likely led to escape, but the problem became the problem it is due to Hurricane Andrew & several additional storms that followed.
Also, who the hell is Jason?
    Great job, Emily!!!! ❤
