@RockinKatReviews Before Final Fantasy XIV released its Heavensward expansion, BoF3 was my favorite game of all time. It broke my heart that BoF4 didn't live up to it. I really didn't like 4. The story was weak, the characterization was off, and the most important part of a Breath of Fire game, the Dragon transformations, was borked beyond repair. And don't get me started on the Game Point system...
@@ReaverPrime you are spitting facts. I couldn’t agree more with those critics. I loved the gene splicing in 3. The story and most importantly I loved that art style. 3 is my favorite RPG it’s simple charming and just everything I wanted in a classic 2D rpg. Also going beserk and turning super sayian came outta nowhere. I remember telling a buddy I went super sayian as ryu in bof3 and he lost it when I booted up my save file 😆
@@sukmykrok3388 let’s goooooooo! Yeah Sonic 1 is Solid I still think it right there with the others a bit slower but the stages are top notch! That 8th special stage they added to Sonic 2 on the collection is awesome
When I was 7 my parents got me a Genesis for Christmas when I wanted an SNES. They did it because my nephew (same age as me) got an SNES, and the idea was we'd play each others' consoles when visiting each other. I only owned 3 games for it. Aladdin, which I got as a mail away with the console, Joe & Mac, which my sister's then-boyfriend gave me, and the pack-in title, Sonic 2. So I have way more nostalgia for this one than any of the other classics, which I only played when I rented them (or when visiting my cousin who had a Genesis with Sonic & Knuckles).
For the first couple years I only had the first 2 Sonic titles and a few other Genesis games. I remember going to a buddies house and seeing Aladdin for the first time. I always preferred the art style of the Genesis release over the snes Aladdin. Gameplay for the Genesis Aladdin always felt more fluid too
Great vid br0. I do like Sonic 2's levels better, but I hate the bonus stages. Sonic 1 and Sonic 3 have bonus stages that I feel are more fair to the player. Sonic 2's bonus stages tried to be a little too much for their own good. I know many players have eventually memorized and mastered them, but I honestly feel they just aren't as good. It's too bad because the gameplays is top tier.
I agree there the biggest issue I feel is the ring count is so strict a couple hits from the bombs and your toast it can get frustrating. Blue spheres tho! Now your talking 😆
Thanks for pointing that out. I was always under the assumption it was a reference to Sonic 3 and Knuckles in some sorts since it eventually got reworked into the Sonic 3 story
Tails in the bonus stages was crippling at times 😆 I could manage the first few but by the end he would always get snagged it was fun having a buddy tag in at times
Still my favorite of the classics
Great choice!!
Adventure 2 easily...
Awesome video! 🔥 crazy mark cerny went from this to creating the ps4 and 5 for Sony
A true living legend
Sonic 2 is still the goat hands down
cool game friend!
🙏
Excellent video bro! I Istill need to playthrough superstars
I’ll be getting to superstars here shortly

Sonic 2 and 3.... nostalgia 💣
Sonic CD next and then hopefully I can jump into 3
Advanced 2 was my first Sonic game
@@MrNinten-mw4lo great series I played a great deal of SA1 and SA2
I put S2 just above S3 mainly due to the zones
It’s honestly too close to say at times both so well done
I can agree with that
Good choice
0:57 Mass Effect and Breath of Fire are two trilogies I go back to very frequently.
Both great! Breath of Fire is my series… BOF 3 was one of my first PS1 RPGs.. Did you play BOF4?

Sonic 2 was good but I was a Sonic 3 guy personally
Ayyyyy!
This video is the reason I started a Sonic 2 playthrough. THANKS, M8!
🙏 LMK how it goes!
@RockinKatReviews Brother, Sonic 1 and 2 are my all time favorites! This is AWESOME so far!
(I literally started up just now!)

Great review
Thanks my bro 😎
*SONIC 2 is amazing and a true classic of all time then S3 & K* ⭐️
🔥
🙏
Ayyyy Sonic 2 let’s go
I remember seeing the screenshots in the magazines....
I remember concentrating on each photo trying to wonder how the music was in that stage
I’m still personally torn…I enjoy the hidden palace theme but I also love the alternate mystic ruins track too they both work really well

2 over 3
I respect that 😎
Hidden Palace had nothing to do with the Master Emerald. All that the large gem was was a stopper for tunnels. It wasn't part of the story.
Thanks for pointing that out. I was always under the assumption it was a reference to Sonic 3 and Knuckles in some sorts since it eventually got reworked into the Sonic 3 story
The elemental sheilds were from Sonic 3 first, maybe Origins added them in VS mode for Sonic 2.
Sonic 2 is great but the biggest problem is Tails in the bonus stages, for me 3+Knuckles is the best but I do enjoy revisiting 2 every now and then
Tails in the bonus stages was crippling at times 😆 I could manage the first few but by the end he would always get snagged it was fun having a buddy tag in at times
I’m sorry your very first console for yourself was a sega system smh. The HORROR 😂
😭
It was Mine too, i love it
Better than nothing at all or an Atari.
