Yes sir it is Pecan. This was an amazing tree that was on our uncle's property. When he passed on, my brother, Hank, bought the old homestead. Thank you for watching and commenting, brother.
I live in Durham North Carolina I got 2 acres with a bunch of trees I got the 131r combi with every single attachment to it I was like a kid in a candy store LMAO
I’ve got a couple of Stihl saws and won’t be getting another gasoline powered one. The last tank of fuel for the season I use the $20 a gallon premix, run till dry and put it up. Following spring, it refuses to start. Don’t know if you’re sponsored, but I purchased the Milwaukee Quick Lok system and their pole saw. It doesn’t flex like the Stihl did and appears to cut faster. It doesn’t have the length adjustment on the fly, but with the powerhead, pole saw and extension is as long. The plus is no fuel, and the powerhead can be used by the string trimmer, hedge trimmer or edger. Good luck with your purchase.
👍 Is the exact video I was looking for I need to buy me one of these coming this late spring early summer. I got a few trees I need to tackle! My sister has one and she was telling me about a pole Saul and I said well I have a long pole saw that has a like a blade on the end she says no no this is. This is a gas operated so you can do electric or gas. I’d rather do the gas. Great video very helpful.❤
How well does it balance? I need to get up on a 10 foot step ladder and top out a tree. So I need a pole saw that I can hold out horizontally and cut several 2 inch branches that are growing vertically. Will this saw balance well for that?
This saw would definitely handle that job in my opinion. Balance on a ladder is aways a tricky thing of course. This is my brother's pole saw so I can ask him if it came with a shoulder strap. I did another video on a Kobalt battery powered pole saw that also works great, especially for a home owner type job. It definitely came with a shoulder strap that helps to balance it out.
@@carolinahillcountry Yes, please ask and comment here again. This job is fast coming up and I have to come through, even if I have to buy a new pole saw (that I'll use for similar jobs). Thanks for the fast reply.
I'm thinking of buying a pole saw but not sure whether to get battery or petrol, what would you recommend? More so for farm work, I'm in rural but still in town limits.
We also did a review on a battery powered Kobalt pole saw on our channel. It is also a nice piece of equipment probably more suited for homeowners or someone who wouldn't use the saw that much. the gas powered Stihl is probably better suited for commercial use and used often. That's just my opinion. Thanks. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/eMctELvYPoY/w-d-xo.html
Milwaukee makes the best performing Cordless Pole Saw, it's the F1 car of Electric saws, if money is no option.....you can also purchase a weed whacker and other attachments for it. I personally have their Pole saw, and it's pretty crazy. If you search for "Project Farm Pole Saw", there's an excellent video that compares ALL the brands of pole saws, with Tests to prove it.
If you have the same one as in the video the factory chain that it is sold with is most likely the green micro you should try the yellow super chain it is a lot more aggressive and sharp works better on mine.
Yeah definitely something going on with the chain. I know this might sound crazy but I am not sure your level of experience with saws. Crazy thing is I have heard of folks putting chains on saws backwards and not adding bar and chain oil. I am not saying you did that but I have seen it. Hope you get it figured out brother.
Haaaa! Would you recomend safety gear? Absolutely, although I’m not wearing any 😂 I love this, it definitely beats me sitting high up in a tree with a chainsaw or recipro saw! Southerners & Australians seem to have a pretty similar attitude- this made me laugh so hard!

@Vstar5 a craftsman is ok for homeowners but a professional tree or landscape guy needs stihls. They last longer and are way more durable. I have had a few craftsman chainsaws weedeaters and I have broken every one withing a month.
@@carolinahillcountry LOL I've got buildings that make yours look good but you're right, the tradition here is to let them fall on their own. Hard to tear down history. My Grandfather build most of these ones.
Not 15 sec into this vid and I heard that classic sound of a Stihl engine. My weedeater sounds like it's about to take off when it gets working. Unbridled power
Wow, that machine is a beast. Thanks for sharing with us, how it performs🔥
You're welcome. And thank you.
Just bought an HT 103. Awesome tool
Yes it is brother!
Those look like pecan trees. If so, they are very hard wood!!! I have seen sparks flying while cutting them! Loved this video Brother!

Thank you . Very kind!
Stop leaving the tank dry, keep it full of treated fuel during off season.
Use premium gas, their mix, add stabilizer before you put it away for the season and do those things for any two cycle.
Just got mine today bout to use it tomorrow looks like fun
Yes sir brother it's a fun and valuable tool to use. It makes things a lot safer too.

Wow that’s so funny I watched this video like last year sometime before I bought my pole saw. Funny now that I know you live near by.

Bought one yesterday, should have bought it 15 years ago
Yes sir...Right!
Great stuff, guys... Chainsaw on a stick that looks like fun.
LOL absolutely
Do you think the Stihl battery Chainsaw have the same capacity to cut large an hard wood limbs?
I am not sure, but I am skeptical.
I did a video review on a Kobalt electric pole saw.

$600 for a pole saw? Does it has an AI and does it work by itself and have a lift time warranty?
