    I would like to thank IGM Tools for supporting my channel. They sent me the Laguna 18bx to test out and review it.
    I must say that I am not obligated to say anything good about it.
    All I said is my own opinion and I will say again that I love this bandsaw. It is an amazing tool and it took my guitar building to another level. I heard a lot that tools don't make a good craftsman, but having proper tools sure does help a ton and saves a lot of time.
    Thanks to Erik Šnajder for playing the demo for us. Subscribe to his channel. Im sure a lot of awesome stuff is coming out soon:

    THANKS!
    I very much enjoyed building this guitar. I love working with walnut wood and the poplar top is amazing. I wanted to build a full width top for a long time, but I didn't have the tools to do it. Thanks to my new Laguna bandsaw I will make more of them in the future. One thing that I never tried in my previous guitar builds is the middle piece in the scarf joint. It doesn't have any mechanical benefits, but it sure adds to the aesthetics. I really like how it looks on the back of the guitar neck.
    I used zebrano wood for the fretboard. This wood has long fibers and it is not so easy to work with it. It took a lot of sending to get it smooth. I used a cnc to make the fretboard for the first time. It was kinda scary to press the start button :) I wanted to have a multiscale fretboard with blind frets and there is no other way to achieve that without binding the fretboard.
    Overall I am really pleased with how this guitar turne out.
    If you have any questions feel free to ask me in the comments. I will be also happy to hear your thoughts on this guitar build.

    It's quite astonishing to see such a remarkable guitar come into existence. Well done! It did surprise me that you glued the neck since I thought they were typically screwed in. Of course, I'm not an expert.

    • @MagicAtticGuitars
      @MagicAtticGuitars  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Jozsef! There are three main ways to attach the neck to the body. Bolt on, set neck (glued), and neck trough ( neck blank goes all the way trough the body).
      I try to avoid bolt on system if possible. In my opinion set neck does a better job in transferring vibrations from neck to body. If executed properly it can increase sustain and ad some character from neck wood to tone of the guitar.

And I have another blade for rough cutting big chunks of wood to prepare blanks. Even if I only had to change it one time and it took hours I wouldn't do it. 🙂

    • @MagicAtticGuitars
