With Ben´s gene pool how can he be anything but great! I´m a very old James Taylor and Carly Simon fan, they followed me through my life and gave me inspiration when i needed it.
James' voice makes my heart feel youthful enough for me to shed a tear over yesteryear. Ben is lovely, he looks and sounds a lot like James yet with the smoke of Carly. James, he is definitely one of your greatest musical masterpieces.
Agree I miss yesteryear and I teared a bit also! That happens everytime I go back in time.Great nostalgic memories. I've always loved James and Carly's music and hope to see more great talent from Ben.
This is the first time I’ve heard Father and Son play together, very beautiful, very moving. When I look at Ben Taylor I see a fine mix of his Mom(Carly Simon ) and his Dad (James Taylor) in his looks. He sounds a lot like his Dad, but he does have his own unique sound. Very nice!🥰
I saw him in 1970 in Chapel Hill Jubilee Weekend. I was sitting right below him on stage. I had started listening to his music in 1969 and turned my boyfriend onto him before this great concert. He loved Chapel Hill.
He’s coming to London, Ontario, with Jackson Browne. I soooo wish I could afford a ticket. I’ve listened to James Taylor since I was a young girl. He is such a natural. I find his voice so soothing.
LOVED IT!!! Son Ben has a great voice like both his parents! He looks so much like James. Hope to see more of the two together, that was a special surprise! He does seem a bit shy just like James was when he first began. He's very good!! GO BEN!!! :)
Like watching & hearing James Taylor! Then & Now live on the same stage! I saw them together on the same stage many years ago & was amazed to see his son who looks & sounds so much like his Dad. Magical!!
Wow! How beautifully their voices complement each other. I love James' version of this song, but the addition of Ben's voice adds such a wonderful depth. Warms my heart.
No ... Only a "Moron" would express that. Different folks have different tastes. Why be insulting of those who don't agree with you? Get over yourself. It doesn't MATTER who or how many do not appreciate what you or I do.
Now here's an apple that didn't fall too far from the tree ! And when the beauty of the song is given flight by the harmonies, the warmth which surges through the heart, is like 'Honey for the Soul'. Just a joy to behold & hear. Sweet Baby James & Carly, your baby boy, has grown into a talented young man.
You can sure tell that he’s very proud of his son. He’s very handsome, he looks so much like his Dad, and sounds a lot like him too. What a beautiful family!🌺💞🙋♀️
I have goosebumps.. JT, you are my heart. Always have been. Heard you when I was three years old in 67'.. followed you ever since..😊🙏🙏🙏 God bless you and your Clan..
It's like watching twins, they are so similar in playing and voice that it is wonderful and touching to see. The fact that they are father and son makes it even more special. How great it is... A lot of older musicians loose their voice to sing but James sounds exactly the same, maybe it is the style of music but I don't think so, I think he is just gifted.
Spirituality and soul are like ivory and ebony. James' voice will always be an exquisite gift and the legend of excellence continues with Ben in this instance. It is more than a song but rather a rite of passage carried from father to son.Thank you both.
this takes me back to when I was a girl, late teens, early 20s, Joe Cocker, Janis Joplin, Carly Simon, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Carol King, Jimi Hendrix, Queen, Pink Floyd and the list goes on and on - the best era for music ever - there was Rock n' Roll, there was Hard Rock and THEN there was Acid Rock !! aaahhhh, guaranteed to blow your mind lol
@@christinehaley8097 Thank you so much for your positive feedback. The divine talent bestowed on the Taylor/Simon legacy is second to none. This compliment is well received as I am a devoted fan of the legendary Miss Carly Simon.Blessings !
I only had the chance to play publicly, with my daughters, on one occasion. They each play strings and sing, and are very good. It was a Christmas program at the church, and we lit it up. I can still remember it clearly, to this day. Life has always been an obstacle. Maybe someday. It is a great thing to see James and his son performing together.
Being from the South, we hold this song close to or hearts. When I hear it, memories of listening to the radio fill my mind. Sometimes the memories were so vivid I could hear the songs audibly. I remember the sweetness and sense of freedom and security it brought to mind. They even played it in the Safeway store. The same store where i first learned Elvis Pressley had suddenly died. We can not separate music from who we are. Each loved song is an emotional building block which made me the thinking man I am today. Each one represents a different aspect of I am. Music has meaning...perhaps more to us than we can ever realize. Thank you Ben. I won't say you have big shoes to fill. You out do most filling your own. I, and everyone I know, love you. Perhaps one day you'll read this. I can hope!
The boy has some mighty fine chops.
Cant believe this was 12 years ago! What a beautiful duet with his son! And Ben, what a fabulous voice he has!!!
"Can't you just see the son shine" : )
Aww 😊
A James Taylor concert is truly a religious experience!

Ben has a smooth soothing voice.
That voice is one of the seven wonders of the world.
I love Ben and James. What beautiful voices !!!!

If you listen very closely to Ben's voice you can hear both James & Carly. How gifted is that?!
It's true. I actually think he has a finer voice than his dad's because it's a blend of both parents.
@@judewishedhimselfout it’s actually due to the inherited 🧬!
Kind of eerie isn’t it? But a great performance as always
Exactly what I was thinking. Amazing melding of his parents' voices. Ben is extremely talented in his own right.
A true musuical blessing. Ally
Only a father could truly know the joy James must've felt having his son join him in that performance. This father is touched.
Lovely to see the father and son singing together.
I LOVE Ben's voice... it is a delicious blend of his parent's voices. I wish lots of success to him.
This is to my co workers I'm gone to Carolina it my mind
All the best

🥀Beautiful Song and I loved it especially when Ben Taylor is singing with him. God Bless you & Stay Gold🥀☝️
Goosebumps listening to Ben singing. What a lovely voice. I love everything the Taylors sing!
Thought there would never be a better version of Carolina than on JT Live, but this is the most moving, multi-layered version ever recorded.
James Taylor could sing the ingredients from a box of cereal and it would be great, this was magnificent despite the bad recording.
Absolutely agree!
why do I feel teary watching this?? I love JT so much, his son is great too
Love this, my favorite James Taylor song 🎵 ❤, Ben is Fabulous too.
Ben is so good. He is just as good as James with a different sound ! His voice is pleasing to listen to!
He’s coming to London, Ontario, with Jackson Browne. I soooo wish I could afford a ticket. I’ve listened to James Taylor since I was a young girl. He is such a natural. I find his voice so soothing.

I could listen to these two forever

Son like Father. Gifted.
I never get sick of hearing this song and it's obvious JT never gets sick of playing it. So great to see and Ben carrying the torch.
The only thing that's better than one Taylor is two.
Truth!
YES!
Or even 4. There’s another son who tours with his dad and is in the band.
Wow! How beautifully their voices complement each other. I love James' version of this song, but the addition of Ben's voice adds such a wonderful depth. Warms my heart.
James and Ben have the most beautiful voices they sing in harmony together, could listen to them forever.
Ben’s voice is gorgeous! Can you imagine growing up with this influence?
his uncle Livingston is pretty good too.
Wow they sing exactly alike. Well done, gentlemen. Ty.
all these years, I still love James Taylor's music....I am teary-eyed....Ben looks like you James...awesome!....from the Philippines.
American masterpiece. I wish Americans could go back to being what this song talks about. I wish the world could be like this song.
Nobody can compare to the Father, he is truly in a class all his own, but is nice to see that he loves his son and is proud to sing with him.
I'm so happy I lived long enough to see JT in TH-cams with his kids.
Ben has awesome voice. Very mellow and sweet.
James Taylor's voice is still good.
Father and son in perfect harmony.
Only a Moron would not find this beautiful.
There are 10 of them , probably fans of kanye west , lil wayne and Eminem .
There are currently 36 morons roaming the planet.
No ... Only a "Moron" would express that. Different folks have different tastes. Why be insulting of those who don't agree with you? Get over yourself.

Ben’s harmonizations are outstanding
Love them both so much!!!
I really loved listening to this. Such a great performance. Ben's voice seems to be a combination of both parents.
Pure magic.
Beautiful. Love to see the two of them together..
Very nice. Good memories. 🎶
James has been clean for years!!Everyone has their own demons&God is the only 1 who can judge-he&his family are truely blessed with their talent...
James couldn't deny this boy if he wanted to. Great song.

Perfect blending and so amazing. They sound awesome singing together.

He’s exceptional in voice. Writing and guitar playing
That stabbing high note...James, it encircles you and rockets a person to infinity.

Oh my...wow. Incredible....absolutely beautiful. Magnificent! Love
Simply outstanding
Fantastic video - love James Taylor and his son sounds a lot like him - two great singers 😁👍💕
What a legacy! Ben and Henry Taylor. And don’t forget Livingston Taylor, James’ brother. DNA is powerful! Especially when your mom is Carly Simon!
And also Sally.
Wow, sounds so much like his dad but still has his own sound. Love it.
So wonderful !! 🐦
First time hearing Ben. His harmonies are deadly. Bravo!
Once was not enough so I saw them twice on this tour
His voice is forever youthful. 💕
