It makes a lot of sense that it would be better to drop the beat immediately, because most people decide whether they are going to watch a video or flip it within the first 7 seconds. So I could see having to go through how ever many tracks with an 8 bar intro waiting for the beat to drop could be detrimental to success. Many people might decide to shelf it before the beat even drops.
