    How about a video on how to find a lawyer/how to go by it?
    Do you wait for a placement? Get one now? And how does that work? You pay them to sign up with them? Or pay them when you get a placement?

      I'm pretty sure KXVI is working on something like that, maybe he can clarify though

    • @korniceman3000
      @korniceman3000 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So true!!! Too many videos need clarification and not enough details regarding contract signings, advances from labels, royalty and publishing splits. etc. Just vids about people getting dm's from bigger producers saying we got one are meaningless without more specifics about how they got paid and credited for their contribution to the beat/song and whether it was the label that reached out with a proper contractual agreement or a contract with the producer the co-created the beat...

    When he says that people are not networking like they should because they just send loops, and he says his approach is to.. just send loops I was not sure how to understand that haha

      @@enriquegandarilla9295 that's the point, how did he sympathized with them online if he says that just sending loops in dm is boring? Something's missing here

      @hockeytalk6084 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a very valid struggle. Basically just hone your craft until you really think the loops are pretty fire, and in that case there’s not a high chance you will get blackballed for sending GOOD loops. Other than that try reaching out to people on Instagram and building at least somewhat of a relationship with them before you start spamming their email with loops. I think even taking a tiny step like that can eliminate you from looking like a clout chaser. It’s a tough industry full of contradictions man. I am nowhere near this kids level of success but following his advice I did land a minor placement and get my loops used by a lot of producers. So he is 10000000% legit but I also struggled with the “don’t send loops” thing and eventually once people started using them without my permission and I was like “aight must be good enough” 😂. So I guess on that note maybe try posting them on looperman or some thing and if people are downloading/using them then you should be sending them out!! I say once people start using them don’t overthink it. Money talks too and that’s real advice. If a producer offers a product or service it can be beneficial to interact with them on that front and show them that you are willing to support them too. That’s pretty much the wall I hit and the mentality I’ve developed because of it

    • @hockeytalk6084
      @hockeytalk6084 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also aim to network with producers that are not too far out of reach per se. You’d be surprised man, some of the guys working with artists you’d love to get on a track with are not as “big” as you would think. There’s so much hidden talent and humble success. I’ve noticed that so many of the most successful sound designers, loop makers and producers behind the scenes in hip hop are too busy making hits to care how many followers they have on IG. Look for the guy who has landed a couple tracks but maybe he only has 3-400 followers. Maybe he is even followed by a name you recognize or 2 but is super low key. Do you have something to offer THAT guy? Maybe you make loops that fit his style of beat. What song does he have and with whom? What type of sound characterizes THAT rapper? You may be able to form a beneficial business relationship by sending that producer relevant loops in HIS exact style (for free in exchange for opportunity). In the form of Beatstars collabs, everybody wins because 1) More beats = more money and more fire loops = more beats with less time and effort
      2) that guy might have a larger audience than you and sell his leases for a higher price, which means you get continuous passive income from the split if the beat is popular. Alternatively, in some cases, he may be able to get the finished beat to artists that you would otherwise have no line to at all. Show somebody you really care about working with THEM. I’ve found that you can do that by really studying their sound and trying to nail it. I feel like it’s really obvious when people try to spray and pray with loops. Instead you want to show somebody that you are familiar with what they are looking for and that you can provide value to them. All types of things to consider in order to make things less RANDOM. You have to provide something and make it easy for people to want to work with you. This is advice that has worked for me so far and I owe it in huge part to KXVI and Prod.Lucent
