Man, that shop sells quick. I had 2 mugs in my cart and they were sold out by the time I clicked "purchase." You have to be fast, and lucky I suppose. I was hoping having them in your cart would at least lock them for a minute while you make your payment. Perhaps next re-stock will be my lucky day. Love the video, and the work!
I have been trying to make a shape similar to this for a long time-always failing! Now I understand that although this looks like it would be easy, it is anything but. I appreciate this and all your videos and look forward to seeing the next one where you trim this pot. Thank you!
Came from your YTshorts. Thanks for bringing attention to your longer content otherwise I wouldn't discover this channel. Videos are so satisfying and your voice os veru soothing

That is one thing that is so great about every Florian video. He addresses every step each time, beginning with wedging, centering, coning up, opening, first pulls... we all need to hear that, every time, whether we are neophytes or not. Each step builds beautifully on the last…
FLORIAN, NO, YOU CAN'T MAKE THAT INTRO! THE PEOPLE AT WIKI FEET WILL GET YOU. (This is a joke... but not really) I am excited to purchase my first pot from you today! :)
Haha! I know it's controversial, but hey, I've been stood making boxes all day with this combo and my feet feel great. EDIT: AND GOOD LUCK! The key is to be quick, checkout fast, save payment details in your browser, like Apple Pay, if you have it. It can all go pretty rapidly, which makes is a bit stressful, but it's also part of the fun. Like concert tickets to your favourite band or festival, sometimes you get them, sometimes you don't.

Hello Florian, can you make a video of the pottery wheel you use, your tool, kiln, clay, glazing material and other material and tools which you use and where can I find them. It will be very helpful to us
I was unaware you had a book out and picked up a copy. I just bought a set of sponges. Can you tell me what kind of sponge you were using? I have been struggling with using one recently.
He mentions the name “Mud Tools” (might be one word), whose sponges are apparently worth the higher price compared to the sponges meant for washing cars that he has previously mentioned using.

Fabulous- I could watch you throw all day
Can’t wait for the shop to open ! Amazing video.
Thanks so much on both fronts, not long to go now!
me like...oh shop update!.. "Let the hunger games beg....(Soldout), oh, never mind"....
Very sweet design; almost reminds me of the classic terracotta flowerpots with the stepped rim.
I always learn from watching your videos. Learning also from reading your book (still in progress). Thank you.

Same, I think today's short featured a clip from this bowl!
A work of art. thank you for sharing.
Its always really cool to see the clay slowly take shape into the pot you're making. I appreciate the content as always!
Oh I love the shape! This was a lovely throwing tutorial as well. Something about all the parts just coming together--a perfect story.
Such exceptional technical precision! AND you are an AMAZING teacher! Thank you!!!

Well filmed, great skills.

New subbie here 👋
Your videos are incredibly calming.
I get why this is your current obsession, very beautiful.
I have bought a wheel and am excited to start learning to throw. I just have to set up an area for it
Fantastic video.
Incredible.
The amount of times he has said wedging on the wheel in his videos🤣, Love your videos.

Hi Florian! Can you provide me with the clay weight and dimensions for the bowl so that I can practice creating this shape?
I was wondering that myself. Seems pretty large and I usually add 25% since I'm nowhere close to that level 🥴
Beautiful to watch and listen to ❤

Thank you another great video. Congratulations sold out before I could get your art. 🎉😢
This is so beatiful
Is that the neighbours’ cat I heard at 4:54?
Indeed. There's hundreds of them. Ciro runs outside barking whenever I open the door to scare them away.
@@floriangadsby sounds like a dachshund through and through! Ours also acts as a door guardian … runs in the genes!
Who are some of your influences? Or pots that you always return to for a spark of impetus?
Lucie Rie? Japanese potters? Danish?
What a beautiful shape.
What happened with those red clay with bronze grog vases? I couldn't find a followup video.
Gorgeous 🎉 hows the red clay going?
You somehow sound like a slightly softer version of david bruce composer.
mann i missed the shop opening by twenty minutes and it all sold out
“Although I am still using a slightly more grogged variant”

“Of my usual stoneware clay body.”

Do you allow editing of your with credit?
why not doing it upside down?
Slamming that clay like it owes you money
Let the clay talk for you. Being obsessive is a way to describe your love for a object. Pray to the Maker, 🙏 Jesus Christ. Amen

Kinda wanna use Florian's voice samples as training data for an AI model to build an audiobook tool for myself. That would be something.
Oh god, well, there’s probably enough videos here do it! Not sure I want to open that can of worms though!
@@floriangadsby Plot twist, florian uses the idea to train a model for his future video voiceovers, and we'll never know
