@wolfgangd3653 I agree with you. Unfortunately, maddie (the enforcer that betrayed Caitlin) was confirmed as a noxian spy hired by Ambessa to distract Cait from Vi, both romantically and strategically. There's was a line before she was about to execute Cait where she said something along the lines of "Sorry about this but I appreciated the warmth" which could've hinted at deeper feelings but we see that she prides her allegiance to noxus above all else. A shame as a chatacter arc where she was a piltovan turn traitor would've been a lot richer.
I agree with this, but. When we first see isha, she is running away from gang members, and it also seems like shes an orphan, so i think that even a tiny bit of backstory on why shes running from a gang or what happend to her family would’ve helped us as the audience to connect better to her character. I love isha, i just wish she got more screentime talking about her backstory.

Exactly, I don't agree on that, I don't think Isha is everything powder wanted to be, Isha IS powder. She's weak, gets tossed around by people, even her sacrifice itself is her being like powder, trying to save everyone but ultimately she's unable to. That's the reason Jinx feels protective of her.
Quite frankly, and I say this with nothing but love for her, but when do we ever see Isha actually do something well? We see her miss her jump when she's being chased. She failed miserably at actually attacking Rictus. The only thing I can actually recall her doing somewhat well is stealing the telescope for Jinx/sneaking around ("Slippery as an eel"). But isn't that just something you have to be good at in the Undercity in general to survive? Like genuinely, what is he referring to when he says she's "way too good at everything she does"? Her sacrificing herself? All she did was put extra gemstones into the gun. I wouldn't call that doing something well, it was just overloading a weapon.
@@echo_thebatdragon6943 Good at making thoses bomb type devices at check point with rictus ? Those where pretty nice and she got them there with no one noticing.
@Nevae_696 I don't recall what exactly you're referring to, but couldn't one assume that Jinx taught her to make them? I just mean... this guy said "at everything" and we're scraping together at most a couple of things that she's done well.

To be honest, you are pretty right. I love this cute little girl but I think it was just to developp Jinx than living for herself, be a character by herself
@@MissNeedsHelp shes a child, and often children aren't 'characters' by themselves, they rely on the adults in their life until older, they develop whole personalities later
@@goblinofsharksnacks I disagree on this. Yes that's the truth in real life but in fiction, even child characters must be actual characters and all the kid versions of our mcs felt like ones, look at kid powder or kid Viktor. It's sad but at the same time while I did like Isha a lot, she was ultimately only there to sacrifice herself and I think it showed a bit. I feel like this season we had a lot of characters like that, which only existed as plot devices or props to the MCs (Maddie, the drunk guy that looked like vander, Lest, Isha,..)
@Doggcereal theres deeper analysis' on those characters, worth watching, they weren't pointless or only plot devices That being said - most characters are plot devices, when stories are being written characters are meant to push the story forward or they are pointless
I know for me personally I immediately grew attached to Isha. She set the motherly flags off in my head and I genuinely sobbed at her death. She's such a little cutie patootie and the fact we don't know much about her doesn't change the fact I love her so much. I'm not trying to say that men don't understand Isha the same way women do, but I think there might be a slight difference in mindset towards her with different genders. That's just my two-cents though, it's perfectly valid to feel another way
@ComfeeCat that is exactly his point Shes a child and ofc (most) people DONT want a child character to die and she sets off jinxs sister/motherly instincts the moment she saw isha, she saw her self in her somthing/ someone to protect
This is exactly how i feel about isha. I sobbed every day, multiple times for a couple of weeks after she died. I still get a little misty eyed when I rewatch her final moments. It lowkey felt like losing someone real 😭
@@patchnpaw15as another woman and not being argumentative, I feel like isha struck with a lot of people with siblings as well, with or without what she was supposed to symbolize. For example, I am an older sister with two younger sisters who are much younger; I relate to vi, and how I with I treated my sisters like jinx treated isha. I saw the symbolism as well in how isha was everything that powder wanted to be, agile and having her gadgets work the first time. While I agree that she should’ve gotten more development, I think it’s a bit far to call her an annoying Mary sue considering that she is not without flaws; she’s a young probably traumatized child that idolizes jinx and copies her to the point where she puts herself into danger, and this is shown multiple times in the show. I think this is also pretty realistic, with how easily young children idolizes and copies those who they look up to (which I have experienced with my own siblings)
I mean that makes sense and I think in life, we often have others lose loved ones. It’s sad, but we don’t know that person or aren’t as impacted as the friends or family that did know them. But we see how sad our friends and family get and sympathize with them and share in their grief.
I tried my hardest to not get attached to her, but then they dyed her hair and for some reason that set it off for me and i fell in love, mainly with her and Jinx's dynamic, genuinely hurt when she went boom.
It's not about seeing Isha for the first time and immediately knowing she is going to die. It's about Jinx's and Isha's relationship. They both cared deeply for eachother and both helped eachother. This isn't about losing Isha, this is about how Isha reminded Jinx of Powder, this is about Isha finding someone who protects and cares for her, after surviving on her own in a world full of danger. They both have someone now. And even if Isha dies at the end, she was here and she was amazing. Also, i think we aren't meant to develop a strong emotional attachment to the character, beacuse she's here for Jinx, it's about THEIR relationship. But as humans we can still show empathy when someone dies, Isha loved Jinx so much she was willing to sacrifice herself, and even if we don't know her, we would be saying that she's a hero. Isha is great, but i think you're looking wrong at her.
You're right we should kicking jinx and Vi butt for drag a child into this fight in the first place. These are adults. Shit was going to go down. They should have done better. What does it speak to Jinx's character that she brought someone she loved and fragile kid to a battlefield. And let her stay.
Hard agree. I think this was Jinx's arc to learn to love herself. She sees that it's difficult to temper herself to be around Isha, but still does everything she can to be a good role model. Despite being a more unpredictable person, she manages to do as good/better a job parenting Isha as Vi did to Jinx. I hope in my little hurt heart that loving Isha made Jinx realize Vi was wrong for how she treated her in that moment, and helps Jinx forgive herself. I have to imagine it also gave her some empathy for how hard Vi tried to be a good mom despite being an actual child. 😢
His statement was that as a mirror and character development for Jinx Isha was great. She's just not a stand alone character. You basically said the same thing so I don't see how he's looking at it wrong if you have the exact same opinion as him.
@@Kal93baby Well, what i meant is that what we were supposed to focus on WAS their relationship, that Isha wasn't a missed oppurtunity or a badly written character. And honestly, for me, she does work as a standalone character!
@wrenn5734 that's fine I don't think there's any reason not to like her as a stand alone character. But for me personally they could've given her more autonomy than just worshipping Jinx. The one thing I did like about her was her dedication to the cause of Zaun, but they ruined that to and instead of dying for the cause the writers had her die to save Jinx and Warwick
personally i became very attached to her. she’s nonverbal or mute (unsure as to which one) and i go nonverbal often, her not exactly signing to jinx but obviously having her own form of communication that jinx understands, the way that jinx always stands infront of her as soon as there’s any sort of danger, i attached onto her so quickly. i don’t headcanon her as autistic but she reminds me of how i acted sometimes as an autistic kid and that’s endearing to me
First time I've seen my perspective of her properly worded. I didn't tear up on her sacrifice because I just saw it coming even without spoilers. But I do love her for what she was made for
I really liked Isha. She was a child who idolized Jinx and wanted to be like how she saw Jinx in her mind. Idk what youre talking about with her being good at everything.
especially since that is not true: she clearly has the limits of an average girl. Kid got bopped by Rictus. She just had someone else to teach her to be good at what she excels at. Jinx happened to mesh really well with Isha, even if the latter wasn't nearly as much of a genius. They shared the same chaotic nature
@@werst9 I love Isha. I was destroyed when she died 😭. I thought they’d go the direction of maybe Jinx sacrificing herself with Isha and was genuinely shocked she died. I think she served a very important role to Jinx in showing her how Vi felt when she did the same thing as Powder. Beautiful show.
@@Miothatsme With the music it does kind of sound like Isha says "mama", but I have the show downloaded with 5.1 audio for editing Arcane AMVs and I've checked by soloing the center channel to hear only the voice without the music. Without the music it is clear Isha isn't actually saying mama but making an "uuuuugh" sound in distress.
Its like they dont actually care about any of the characters. Isha is literally a little girl who found someone she feels safe with so she stuck with her. Isha sacrificed herself because she wanted jinx to be proud of her, hence the dressing up as jinx and mimicing her twice along with that the first thing jinx says to her is about the feeling of shooting someone and how its the best feeling in the world. THAT is why she sacrificed herself in the way she did im sick of people thinking she was only in it for plot.
@flowchartkenYT What do you mean by "Show her how to break the cycle and walk away"? That idea didn't come from Isha, it came from Jinx's hallucination of Silco, meaning it came from Jinx herself. Losing Isha is what brought Jinx to her lowest point as a character, but after that Jinx's interactions with Silco, Caitlyn, Vi and Ekko all contributed to ultimately breaking the cycle by finding the will to walk away.
Exactly. I never really thought her death was sad or really impactful on me as the viewer. But as a fan of the show and the affect it would have on Jink, absolutely huge. To me the saddest part was when Vander was essentially was erased like a hard drive when Victor took Warwicks body’s.
She communicates fairly well for someone who doesn't speak, and Jinx frequently reacts to her as if she IS speaking/she knows what Isha would say without her saying it, which made me assume they chatted off-screen but Isha was just a bit shy around people who aren't Jinx
Even tho we all kinda knew she would die, I definitely felt a connection towards her character. Prob the death I was most upset about in the whole series despite it being expected.
A part of me likes the fact that we don't know much about her because it leaves you feeling like you wish you could have seen more or stuff like that not when she died you felt sad that you lost her it's that you never had a chance to know her cuz that's how loss of a child should feel they never had a chance to grow, am I weird for that??😅
I was exactly the opposite, to me it resonated with me to see a young kid trying to live up to her older sister, I didn’t even really clock the fact that isha was so important to jinx’s development up until the hair-dying scene.
She's what me and my brother call a "Bob Character," a new character who is most likely going to die later in the storyline their a part of. We came up with the term after seeing Bob from Stranger Things 2 because we both looked at each other and knew he was gonna die. We even placed money on it. Edit: In other words, a walking plot device.
I felt the same way with Loris (guy that looked like vander) and Maddie. I knew from the start that they were going to die, Loris died once he was done being a prop to motivate Vi (sorry Loris lol) and Maddie's betrayal was purely there for shock value and I wasn't impressed that she died soon after
@Doggcereal there were actual hints towards Maddie's betrayal, it just didn't have much impact to the story. But I personally didn't see Loris as a bob character, mainly because I couldn't figure out who he was. And to be honest, I don't think they knew what to do with Loris. I didn't even know his name until the show finished.
Nah she had so much personality. She was goofy tough and wanted jinx to be the hero of zaun which is why she impersonated jinx. She looked up to jinx and wanted her to be better. Girl had so much personality for no lines
The Series made me like the character through her emotional expressions. Its just so well made animationwise to show facial emotions and stuff that for me isha was such a perfect character in the role she played for the series to be a catalyst of Jinx healingprocess.
Kids do tend to just pop into your life and grow and challenge you and give you something to care for in a way that was outside of your perception before it became your role. I think she was her own little character for sure and her death may have been predictable but that actually is the real tragedy of it, how obviously and powerfully these violent behaviors and cycles continue when we don’t walk away and involve our kids in them
I love isha even as a character i was kinda hoping isha would grow up and end up being a major character that jinx has an actual sister bond with. I disagree u cant like her because she mute and is good at everything. I feel like u forget isha is a survivor and wat she does isnt all surprising and her character being mute is amazing. Because only jinx can understand her u only seeing jinx havin full on conversation with her and her essentially responding back but mute.
as the oldest sibling, oldest cousin and an older sister, i felt heavily attached to isha. i think her little quirks and body language spoke so much of who she was as a character. you could see her thinking, understand her wants and dreams, see the way she idolized and loved jinx. her death was very impactful to me, especially when we look at her as a mirror to powder. she followed in her idols footsteps and we saw what it meant for jinx to so recklessly care for her own life, and how isha adopted that. you can care so much for someone, but the examples you set, the good and the bad, will effect them. and jinx’s answer to a bad situation was to blow it all up, her life included. isha followed that. and it’s heartbreaking.
When she got socked in the face and didn’t cry, tough kid! When Jinx asked if she was okay she just shrugged and seemed more upset that she couldn’t help, not that she got hurt.
ok this is literally how i feel about her too. like the moment she died, i actually thought "oh no, powder is gonna revert back to jinx probably even worse now"
I think she’s part of the group of child laborers who were running from the gangsters. With more chembarons dying, the remaining ones were scooping up their territories and any potential workers.
Yeah I 100% agree with you honestly I was expecting no other character to notice her when I first watched thought she mighta been some kinda mental thing of jinx imagining her but nope just an uncle Ben
Being mute doesn't make her not a character, she had feelings and communicated stuff often but most people didn't focus on her. She has wishes and needs but I don't think she had a real character development though
RE the first point: exactly, the take that because she doesn't speak she isn't "a person" is honestly a bit ableist. In response to your second point: A very young kid isn't going to have much character development within a few weeks/months anyway.
I would of loved to see a solo episode, or even like a 5 minute backstory of Isha before she met Jinx. I had the same feelings about her as you described.
looking at her in this light, she almost seems like a little spirit, came into Jinx’s life with no warning at the perfect time and left in a dramatic and emotional way that propelled Jinx forwards (even if not in a positive direction). I was quite attached to her, not because of jinx but because I liked her and while I do agree with your points and understand your standpoint, you say her being mute like it’s a disservice to her. I think above being some nice representation adding to the variety of people in the show, her being mute was very important and that didn’t make it harder imo to connect with her. You could still tell exactly what she was feeling or thinking. Beyond not becoming another voice in Jinx’s head it was also pretty integral to her character and it was awesome to see the story telling they could do without even needing dialogue. Maybe without her final scene it wouldn’t have been as impactful but the combination of Isha’s song being in a language many viewers won’t understand and it being the first true look into her perspective and how she sees Jinx was rly well done
I agree with this. She almost gave me the same feeling as Rue from the Hunger Games movie, while Rue had a little more individuality, her death didn't cause upset due to rue herself dying, it caused sadness because of the impact on katniss and the world around her.
She is Viktors Sky. Incredible important to the character but bot the audience. Call it plot device but I think stuff like this makes the world feel more alive. Also Ishas Song is probably from design perspective the best one in season 2. Like we get confirmation (as she sings in Chinese) that Isha probably is part Ionian. The fact that most of the audience cant understand the language forces you to listen to melody and to see the world from Ishas perspective. Then we have the fact that Powder unites in Come play Ishas song in a rebellious way (like the random Chinese words sound at one point like „peanut“ -> „peanut patrol“ and „porn“ -> well Vi - Cait and probably Ekko - Powder iykyk. Then the fact that I missed the first time that Isha is mute and a lot of other stuff makes Isha to a perfect support character.
I, on the other hand, was bawling when she made her sacrifice because of everything she represented and her relationships with those around her. She was a stubborn, tenacious, clever little rascal who looked up to Jinx and latched onto her the moment they collided. To me, a big part of what makes me love a character is their relationships, and another big part is their attitude and how they handle things. Isha should have been wary of jinx and frightened by her violence and chaos, but instead was intrigued and amazed bc jinx broke her fall and was really cool to her. She even threw herself into the direct line of fire to shield jinx after barely knowing her. She should have been happy to play and live with jinx away from the chaos and unrest of Zaun but instead she went out of her way to keep the hype around jinx alive among the people and pushing her to take action. She should have been terrified of Warwick but happily followed the tunnels to find him, even running ahead, and seeming to be quite unconcerned when bleeding even though she had seen that blood was what called Warwick and as we established, she was quite observant and clever. Then she faced off against him and had to be pushed behind jinx, then treated him like a big puppy even knowing that the sisters were even a bit wary around him and agreed to have him tied up at night. Then she took the hexgems from the gauntlets, again, being clever, she knew they were what powered the weapons. Honestly, typing this out makes me think Isha was drawn to danger and chaos from the start, and never really valued her own life, perhaps due to prior trauma which also resulted in her mutism and maybe having something to do with her parents.
Yeah, same I never got people that say "I cried when isha died" because I never got attached since she has little to no personality outside of liking jinx
I agree so much but whenever I say this to my friends, they're like 'oh, no, how could you'. Isha also keeps winning favourite character polls for absolutely no reason.
To be honest I did not care about Isha at all. When she died I felt the same level of sadness I would have felt if any random kid died. Sure it’s sad but not on a personal level. I just did not connect with her.
Isha is my favorite character, Ik she doesn’t do much but the amount of personality they give her! I love seeing her start off as a shell and end up becoming a little jinx but somehow cooler. Idk,I wish she did more too, Like I REALLY wanted to see her become something special because she had so much potential. But I get why they killed her off. She was always meant to be a symbol of change.
You make good points but o still really like Isha, as a character. She’s actually pretty different from powder and I love how she acts and expresess herself, i love how innocent she is, and I LOVE her relationship with jinx. Again just my personal opinion you don’t have to agree.
No way, Isha is the most adorable character in Arcane and I did love her a lot and did cry when she died not because what affect her death would have on jinx but because Isha was dying. Although first look at Isha told me she was written to die, still I think she was a character to be cared about. She bought a little spark of happiness in Arcane.
I definitely agree, I felt the same way when watching the show. She was used as a plot device more than anything. It felt hard to get attached to her. Thanks for making that more clear to me.
Would have been an interesting twist if Isha was just Jinx's imaginary friend a reflection of who Jinx realy is and wish to be. That way it wont feel like a convenient plot device.
As a character she’s meant to be cute and innocent. She’s a plot device, like the dog that always dies in horror movies. It’s still tragic, but I do relate to the adoration she has for jinx as an almost adoptive older sister. Love her for that.
No way. Not only is her presence pleasing but i think her place in the world before meeting jinx kinda further develops where zaun is rn (thatd take a lot to explain in a comment) she feels like a personification of what Savika and the jinxers wanted. Shes a strong Zaunite kid who wants her home and loved ones (Jinx specifically but shes still allowed to care about her) to be safe.
In all fairness every character is a living plot device, the trick is they have to be written well enough that people forget that they are a plot device.
Aside from plot device as a character we do still see her admiration for jinx and her intentions to make jinx a big fat hero. although i get it once u someone just as a plot device u cant go back to appreciate the character easily
With season 2 I feel like the writers were like "we gotta move Jinx to specific points of character development in one season, and the best way we've found to do that is making a new disposable character specifically far pushing her towards the right points"
I 100% agree. She is written purely as a parallel to powder. The teeth on Isha's miner's hat are the same on baby Powder's miner's hat. The pink cheek marks are also the same. Jinx's shark hood and pink cheek marks in the finale are nods to Isha. Isha forces Jinx to come full circle and reflect on her past in a positive way instead of the regret and guilt she usually sees the past in.
this is why it was craaaazy to me when people were devastated by her death. like it’s sad yeah but in a satisfying way. but ppl were like “if isha dies we riot.” an i just not able to connect as well cause i’m meh on kids?
Can you elaborate as a character she does nothing? Were you implying that she does nothing for herself and follows whatever Jinx does? Well, she did rile up the jinxers even when Jinx refused to visit them. Secondly she is way too young to have opinions of her own unlike Milo and Clagger who were much older. But do let me know your thoughts, I could be wrong or may have misunderstood your point.
As soon as Isha came on screen I knew she was gonna die. That’s always how the story goes: the lovable side character inevitably dies. This is because they don’t have enough relevance to the overall plot( not enough plot armor) except in the fact that their death will have an emotional impact. That impact applies not only to the audience but to the main character as well which will force them to struggle with grief, twisting the plot and giving them a new motive for something. With jinx it was suicide, but that motive could be anything from revenge to forgiveness. It’s truly a tale as old as time. And because of that I never grew sentimentally attached to Isha. She was cute but definitely a goner.
Just gonna say this the show should of done 3 seasons. Where episode 6 is 9 instead. That way Act 2 could have more development and the characters arc's can have more impact rather than a time skip. I can understand why it was rushed in the last 2 acts but with a great show like this it needed 3 seasons
Her being mute was an interesting choice. I heard someone say that because of that, her voice will never haunt Jinx the way her other loved ones did.
Yeesh

I agree with this, I never grew attached to Isha, I was only sad at her death cuz its sad to see a child die but I felt like I didn't know her
I agree its so sad she died before we actually got to know her...
isha is a puppy, a thing for our real character to love and cherish.
"Way too good at everything she does"
*Cut to Isha jumping Rictus and immediately getting her shit rocked and hauled off to jail*
@ Yeah like before the lady with mechanical arm came to talk to jinx about the stunt she pulled at check point but it was isha but yeah she’s not good at everything.
To be honest, you are pretty right. I love this cute little girl but I think it was just to developp Jinx than living for herself, be a character by herself
Yea sameeee like i love their dynamic together cause it brought out a new side to jinx, but its just that. She was made for jinx.
@@MissNeedsHelp shes a child, and often children aren't 'characters' by themselves, they rely on the adults in their life until older, they develop whole personalities later
Now that I think about. Outside of jinx she's irrelevant
@Doggcereal theres deeper analysis' on those characters, worth watching, they weren't pointless or only plot devices
That being said - most characters are plot devices, when stories are being written characters are meant to push the story forward or they are pointless
That's just my two-cents though, it's perfectly valid to feel another way
@ComfeeCat that is exactly his point
Shes a child and ofc (most) people DONT want a child character to die and she sets off jinxs sister/motherly instincts the moment she saw isha, she saw her self in her somthing/ someone to protect
You're not alone. I loved her as my own daughter. I cries for 1 whole week for her death and still I miss her
This is exactly how i feel about isha. I sobbed every day, multiple times for a couple of weeks after she died. I still get a little misty eyed when I rewatch her final moments. It lowkey felt like losing someone real 😭
Well, Im not trying to be argumentative but as a woman, I only ever found her to be an annoying Mary Sue who barely registered as a character to me
@@patchnpaw15as another woman and not being argumentative, I feel like isha struck with a lot of people with siblings as well, with or without what she was supposed to symbolize.
Girl wanted to be Powder so bad that she literally turned to it 💀
Nahh💀💀💀
I mean that makes sense and I think in life, we often have others lose loved ones. It’s sad, but we don’t know that person or aren’t as impacted as the friends or family that did know them. But we see how sad our friends and family get and sympathize with them and share in their grief.
The difference is that this is a show and Isha was a pretty important
This dude just yaps for views. His takes hardly ever make sense
especially since that is not true: she clearly has the limits of an average girl.
That’s how I felt, I mean it was sad when she died but only because I felt bad for Jinx not because I would miss Isha
Her only like isnt actually “mama” but also “Pew/Poow” which she says 3 times I think.
She also says 'boo' at some point. She never actually says 'mama' it just kinda sounds like she says it.
@ well, it’s never been confirmed or denied so I’m on the fence about the mama thing
100 % agreed. Thanks for phrasing it.
I have to say I really disagree-- she did feel a lot like a real person to me with the way she wanted blue hair and supported the cause etc.
She’s my favorite character in the whole series
am i the only one who didnt realise she was mute until like half way in with her, idk why i just thought she didnt talk much
She communicates fairly well for someone who doesn't speak, and Jinx frequently reacts to her as if she IS speaking/she knows what Isha would say without her saying it, which made me assume they chatted off-screen but Isha was just a bit shy around people who aren't Jinx
I appreciate the way Schnee put it. She's jinxs wild rune form. Not jinx or powder but both at once
Even tho we all kinda knew she would die, I definitely felt a connection towards her character. Prob the death I was most upset about in the whole series despite it being expected.
A part of me likes the fact that we don't know much about her because it leaves you feeling like you wish you could have seen more or stuff like that not when she died you felt sad that you lost her it's that you never had a chance to know her cuz that's how loss of a child should feel they never had a chance to grow, am I weird for that??😅
I had no sadness for her death only “hell yea what a way to go”
I was exactly the opposite, to me it resonated with me to see a young kid trying to live up to her older sister, I didn’t even really clock the fact that isha was so important to jinx’s development up until the hair-dying scene.
She's what me and my brother call a
"Bob Character," a new character who is most likely going to die later in the storyline their a part of.
I fluffing love isha she is a great character she actually does a lot and has a lot of impact on the story
"Way too good" how?
Bro she's the lil dumpling in jinx's life, that's the only role she needed to play and I love her for it.
ok this is literally how i feel about her too. like the moment she died, i actually thought "oh no, powder is gonna revert back to jinx probably even worse now"
Agreed with everything you said. How do you feel about jinx potentially being alive? She didn’t really deserve to live all things considered
I agree with everything you said. Perfectly captures what I’ve always thought about isha
I was honestly super confused where she even came from
I think she’s part of the group of child laborers who were running from the gangsters. With more chembarons dying, the remaining ones were scooping up their territories and any potential workers.
It don’t matter if she mute or something it matter do u like the video she can’t talk she said five words 🎉🎉
This. I loved Isha not for her, but for what she was for Jinx. I loved what *Jinx* was with her.
Yeah I 100% agree with you honestly I was expecting no other character to notice her when I first watched thought she mighta been some kinda mental thing of jinx imagining her but nope just an uncle Ben
Bros spitting facts that we didn't want to realize
The moment isha's hair was dyed blue, she was DONE😂
Yeah she is treated more like a tool than an actually well written character
Great comparison
Honestly, typing this out makes me think Isha was drawn to danger and chaos from the start, and never really valued her own life, perhaps due to prior trauma which also resulted in her mutism and maybe having something to do with her parents.
had someone describe her as "giving Jinx a puppy with a big 'going to die' sticker on it" and... yeah...
I loved her as a character and cried
Isha was literally my favorite character in the show
Could not agree more, that's exactly the same way I felt about her
Totally agree, honestly if they revealed in the end she was just a figment of Jinx's imagination I would have been more moved
She is basically Grogu. A lot of screen time, but just kinda there as a cute character or plot device
To be honest I did not care about Isha at all. When she died I felt the same level of sadness I would have felt if any random kid died. Sure it’s sad but not on a personal level. I just did not connect with her.
I see these characters as the audience having an intervention into the plot.
I saw someone say her being mute leaves jinx with no hallucinations/corruption of her voices in her head
I was literally about to come find you when you said that first sentence
I just noticed the dynamic between those two is similair to cain and Harley for the Harley quinn birds of prey movie.
I get what u mean. She could have turned out to be imaginary and it wouldn't have changed much.
Hahaha it sounded so funny to say that a mute character has no lines, except for the part where she was crying
I love the parallels, but I wish we got more of her and it wasn’t so obvious she was gonna die (being mute and getting really close with jinx).
I was so dumb that I didn’t even realize that isha sacrificed herself and died until after I watched the show😭
As a character she’s meant to be cute and innocent. She’s a plot device, like the dog that always dies in horror movies. It’s still tragic, but I do relate to the adoration she has for jinx as an almost adoptive older sister. Love her for that.
She reminded Jinx of Powder and in the end she did become powder, the parallels in this show truly can’t be outmatched.
I legit forgot she died and was wondering where tf she was on the Airship and when Jinx was imprisoned
My BF and I both thought Isha was Teemo in disguise and intentionally mute 😅 we were just waiting for the reveal.
Surprised this man is still alive after posting this 😂
The first moment she and jinx bonded i knew she was going to die
Arcane doesnt like to make characters happy for longer than 2 minutes
Aside from plot device as a character we do still see her admiration for jinx and her intentions to make jinx a big fat hero. although i get it once u someone just as a plot device u cant go back to appreciate the character easily
Isha is the best character in the series
This is how I was introduced to what is called an impact character
I don’t think she’s a plot device-A character doesn’t need to speak to have their own motivations.
For me, it was so obvious that Isha was going to die. I've never seen a character more designed to die.
this is why it was craaaazy to me when people were devastated by her death. like it’s sad yeah but in a satisfying way. but ppl were like “if isha dies we riot.” an i just not able to connect as well cause i’m meh on kids?
She said 5 word. Pew,boo, pew and some more.
Just gonna say this the show should of done 3 seasons. Where episode 6 is 9 instead. That way Act 2 could have more development and the characters arc's can have more impact rather than a time skip. I can understand why it was rushed in the last 2 acts but with a great show like this it needed 3 seasons
I felt similarly, didn't feel sad she died just went "yep, there is the plot device I expected to occur, all according to every media ever" lmfao
