Apple's Face unlock is smething diffent. You can use it for instaaling apps, opening apps, making payment(PayTm and Airtel), Unlocking Notes, Accessing 'Hidden Photos' and Recently deleted, and so on... which makes user-experience quite smooth.

You can do all of that with the fingerprint sensor on Android phones as well.
