Listening in 2024 and forever to my Afrikan genius from the fifties...play in paradise with Miriam,Harry, Eldridge and the geniuses of music,🙏🏽✊🏾👍🏾👴🏽❤️👋🏽♥️
We have lost great SA musicians this year...Gwangwa and now Sibongele Khumalo ..gone to that great jazz band in the sky and now jamming with Bra Hugh ..may their souls soar ♥️
Yes, Yes!!! Hugh and ensamble as always jammin at their best. Excited for Hugh's upcoming concert at Disney Theatre her in L.A. 2014. Such a unique talent, thank you.
Bra Hugh and Sibongile Khumalo used to present midday show on Kaya FM. They were lovely duo. Greatest interview was when they talked to Kanda Bongo Man. Kanda Bongo Man couldn't hide his hatred for Kenyan president, Daniel Arap Moi.
Yes, because Kanda Bongo had managed to put his hands on one of Moi's favorite side dish way back in the 90s when Kanda's music ruled the world. When the news reached Daniel Arap Moi, he had no option but to declare Kanda Bongo a PI and Bongo was escorted and kicked out of Kenya with immediate effect.
This is just breathtaking! Awe inspiring instrumentals, watching the 1st 3rd of the video, I am still flowing with it! I cannot wait to hear mama Sibongile! Africa is beautiful, will you look at that left handed bassist? Ntate Hugh's fingers waltzing on his magical voice of an instrument. Sigh, I am In love!
If youre the Son of a jazz musician like me you really think jazz music is spiritual and it heals actually even when youre 100% happy you need this calming and soothing effect and that is an area where Black South Africans are superior to all beings in the universe 😂
This is the best performance I've heard in a while. GOOD STUFF. And I just noted the basist is playing an inverted bass guitar...LEFT HANDED GURU THIS GUY IS....The wind instruments are out of this world. GOOD WORK guys
I wish any one could know how much I really enjoyed this district six live concert from the best of the best , I am from Uganda but I love South African music with all my heart . I don’t know if any can help to upload the full video of that song and also there was a time I watched the full video of the COSATO concert with all the famous South African singers including the legendary HUHG MASEKELA which I can’t find anymore . Can anyone can help please. Also last but not least the names of those three back up singers they nearly killed me just bye the way they dance including their smile from start to finish. I will be very very happy. Thanks
