Give a thought to Africa ′Neath the burning sun They are hosts of weary hearts Waiting to be won Many lives have passed away And in many homes There are voices crying out To the living God Tell the love of Jesus By the hills and waters God bless Africa And her sons and daughters Breathe a prayer for Africa God the father's love Can reach down and bless all hearts From his heav′n above And when lips are moved by Grace They so sweetly sing Pray for peace in Africa From the loving God Tell the love of Jesus By the hills and waters God bless Africa And her sons and daughters
@@hag7097 oh you are very ignorant indeed 🤣😂🤣😂! Nkosi Sikelel’ iAfrika”was originally a hymn composed by Enoch Sontonga in 1897. It was written in Xhosa. Morena Boloke is a Sesotho hymna by Moses Mphahlele. Die Stem van Suid-Afrika was written by C.J. Langenhoven, an Afrikaner, 1918 and set to music by Reverend Marthinus Lourens de Villier. You are probably a Nigerian. Study your own history and leave us South Africans alone! We KNOW our history, thank you!
This should be our national anthem. The the current anthem is a compromised hybrid that walk around egg shells to accommodate those who don’t see themselves as African yet want to lord it over all of us. Nkosi sikelela hybrid should go. Rainbow nation honeymoon is over .

This is to me the best rendition of this song by far. By one of the best musicians we ever had but death took her away from us so early and possible at the height of her career. So sad.

A powerful voice indeed. It will be sung at the launch United States of Africa. We pray for that to come and unite us to stop all the unnecessary fights, jealous and enmity so that we can in peace.
She looks like my mom, the Princess of Engcina Royal Kraal. They both passed on one week apart. My wife's surname is Ntungwa, Mbulazi, Mzilikazi ka Mashobane. What caught my attention to her voice was the song "Khumbulukholo lwakho"...and it makes me teary 😢 all the time. May their soul rest in peaceful environments beyond this troubled world, in the spiritual world beyond our vision. Amen !!!
She really was an angel on earth with an angelic voice. RIP my darling Sibonhile. Charm the heavens and the angels with your glorious voice. Love you forever 💓
Her voice is deep, the intonation is at another level. You feel the plea she has for the continent. The backing vocals meticulously arranged to jell so nicely with the instruments. The flute, bass violin, transitions are correct etc...
Absolutely so awesome beautiful sung by an excellent singer. May she rest in peace. She is a legend and so sorry we can't hear her amazing voice any more.
I totally agree with those who say this song should be our National Anthem. This plea to makeit our anthem should be escalated by those with influence to parliament in order to do away with the longest and controversial athem that we currently have. The motormouth certainly approve since he voiced like the dictator that he is for the country to da away with name Springboks, the emblem and the colour. Surely this in befitting to the our anthem.

What a voice!! RIP Sibongile. Anita Jackson, Bloemfontein
I still say this should be South Africa anthem
I quite agree. It has the same melody as the old Nigerian anthem, "Nigeria We Hail Thee"
@@hag7097then it certainly shouldn’t be our National Anthem!
@@priscamolotsi
Hm!
Perhaps you didn't know the British wrote both.

This is how a soprano must sound. Deep and controlled
More a mezzo soprano
A soprano should sound high and controlled as you said but not deep, that is a bass or baritone
A powerful voice indeed. It will be sung at the launch United States of Africa. We pray for that to come and unite us to stop all the unnecessary fights, jealous and enmity so that we can in peace.
I 100% agree that it should be a National Anthem...I love this voice...
