One of my mates back from school had Lee Evens DVDs at home. Me a bunch of us always went round his after school on Fridays. Soon as we always arrived, his mum would always make us food and we would stick on Lee Evens while we were eating. Wouldn't miss another minute of it. Brilliant comedian and many happy memories.

As a firm, we had to collect a car from the home of this National Treasure….. unaware of who the householder was, our guy turned up and Lee came to the gate……. Cup of tea, meet the missus……. Extraordinary human being……..
A credit to our Nation and our species 🎉🥳🇬🇧

Hi Lee. My mate got tickets for Birmingham town hall way back in the early days. I'd never heard of you and didn't know what to expect. Nearly 30 years later I'm still a massive fan as is my 18 yr old daughter, I often hear your voice squeaking out of her phone. My favourite gig was a pre tour at the glee club in Birmingham, very intimate and a test of new material.... notes in hand. Please do another tour so my daughter can get to appreciate your live energy. There's a new generation that needs to know you.

Lee has achieved what many of us would love to do..... he has had fame, gained a considerable fortune during the process, he's got out of the game whilst he has youth and good health and is bringing up his family.
    Good luck to him.

My wife got to meet Lee once or twice. She had no udea that he was going to be world famous! But thats because he, like ny wife, was working for Rosebys (a curtain and bedding shop) where she worked as a store assistant and later as the manager, anf Lee Evans was in charge of doing displays visiting the various shops owned by the company (hers was in Romford i believe ) and she had seen him a good few times during her years there. She said she didnt know if he was doing stand up at the time, but it was only about a year after he last did a display at her shop, that she had seen him popping up on posters for comedy club's, the odd tv show etc and tbe rest for him is history! She said he was a nice, funny likeable guy, seemed a bit shy, and yes he sweated quite a bit in the course of nis job. She has good memories of him.i do to from watching his comedy shows, movies and other acting roles etc.
I know he wont see this, but cheers to mr lee evans. Thanks for the belly laughs that made me almost piss my pants and have a stroke! Not just once, but on many, many occasions.

Was in a film with him called Freeze Frame. I played a member of the SWAT team and got to kick him down the stairs.😁 When I was brought in to meet him and discuss the scene, it was a bit of a shock, as he'd no hair or eyebrows! He was an absolute gent and was great to work with. Thankfully, I didn't break his nose doing the take. It was agony, having to crouch under a camera rig and hold my leg out, while they co ordinated the stuntman and camera angles.
