DoW 3 got delayed pretty heavily, I think they saw the feedback in all the videos half of it was dislikes

Space marines can Sprint in tactical dreadnought armor but the hardest part is stopping
They are juggernauts, just use momentum to break through lines and stuff...
Running in Terminator armour is entirely possible, it just takes a lot of training as you face issues with balance, however if you can balance okay in it then the armour does most of the work when it comes the motion. The real issue would be getting rid of that momentum in a sensible amount of time, and stopping quickly would be be nigh on impossible

A few complaints:
-Your vision seems to be constantly obscured by enemies.
-The guns have a very weak sound to them, not enough bass.
-Objects seem to loose collision detection and morph through you when you cut them.
Other than that this is a pretty solid title.
The boltor is the only gun that sounds pretty shit as far as I've seen. Put the assault cannon on and it's pretty satisfying
If you have the option, Bass Boost headphones have made any game with guns so much more satisfying to play for me.

Well if you think about it, you're in a heavily armored suit, I'm sure that would muffle the sounds of guns so it's somewhat realistic.

Interesting fact about the space hulk name "Olethros", in Greek mythology he was the personification of havoc and destruction. And it translates to Devastation.

it said in the loading screen what kind of ship it is, its a "PowerXL Ship" e.g. one of these super rare and highly important powertransporters that go between the various starsystems to bring power to them etc....
This is what Aliens Colinial Marines should have been!!
No, Aliens is about being hopelessly outgunned by a freakishly powerful enemy, being overconfident and paying for it. Deathwing is about being the superhuman unstoppable unfearing angels of the emperor.
that introduction by the emperor i think it gave me hypothermia from the chills i was getting this will be a grand and holy journey chapter master purge there wretched hides in his name!
What's so crazy is seeing a Terminator sprint and suddenly be able to stop. They should have included the fact that it's damn near impossible to stop once that hulking armour gets enough momentum. Maybe make you take like another 2 seconds to slow down after a long sprint. Moving on, purge on!
The voice acting of Belial and the Librarian is top notch, the performance and their British accents are perfect for Dark Angels, very medieval sounding.

I'm in the right place. I don't care that much but like watching guys that do.
Here's what i don't understand about this game, and i don't agree with.
You never really levelup, you start each mission with standard gear and higher difficulties are just.. more difficult obviously.
I would've prefered to keep my ranks as a spacemarine, keep the relics / weapons / gear i find in the hulks, and move into harder hulks as i continue to get more powerful.
Aye...that's what kept me from pre-/ordering it yet..It looks great, and it sure built up the tension there..
Then go play a rpg. Abstracted progression(aka: leveling) is a game development crutch anyways.

Truth is you do kind of level up at the end of each chapter in single player . In multiplayer you level up during each chapter and it resets at the start of a new chapter.
I guess they went for best of both worlds. I kind of agree they missed out big time with customisable armour and weapons
I really appreciate your enthusiasm, I've seen videos of people trying this game out for the first time where they do nothing but bitch and complain and that really detracts from the experience for me.

if i remember correctly Spacehulk is basically the imperiums term for "ship graveyards" and Deathwing is an special(or elite witch one you prefer) unit of the dark angels yes?
Pretty much. Space hulks usually carry xenos like orks or tyranids. The deathwing is the dark Angels elite squads
Deathwing is the first company of the Dark Angels, made up entirely of the most skilled veterans all clad tactical dreadnought armour.
A space hulk isnt just a ship graveyard, it's a warped conglomerate of all the vessels that's been spit out of the warp.

I never played a 40K game but I was reading a review of this game on Eurogamer and they described it as the best parts of Aliens on a loop and that sounded amazing to me so that lead me to this video. I must say the game looks worth buying just for the environment itself. I love exploring games and the world themselves are big draws for me. Great video and I love your enthusiasm!
Come now Valrak, I thought Space Marines were supposed to show no fear. We can't have our chapter master quaking in his boots every time he thinks he hears a Genestealer.

Valrak remember don't hold down E that is why doors kept being blocked cause you kept locking them and then you break them...also the turrets you were running into at the start were not turned on yet, you should have enabled them as you passed by.

3 years, how soon we forget disappointments.

Alas, even the fix was clunky(it was awkward, not deliberate), the weapons strobe lights and the enemies overlapping within each others models.
Worst of all, the terminator armour was paper thin so you constantly needed healing. There should have been notable threats here and there while the rest of the chaff need a sustained assault to close in and present a viable threat.
It was so damned close.

I've been pleasantly surprised by this game - the settings are really atmospheric, it runs fine on my system on middle of the range settings (lucky me, 6 year old machine with a GTX760), and it's a decent challenge. The Terminators feel like Terminators, the friendly AI doesn't require constant shepherding, and is actually useful, the corpses pile high in a cheerful bloody mess, the glow of assault cannons is rosy and warm, the strobing of muzzle flashes light the darkness with epilepsy inducing staccato.....you know, just Terminator stuff :)

There are two kinds of people when it comes to judging this game.
The lore guys who are absolutely awed by it. And the gamer guys who nitpick all the mechanics.

It’s weird hearing him gush about dark angels instead of fist but as a dark angle fan I approve
I think a few people are complaining about how the Terminators can sprint despite wearing heavy armor but in all honestly I think they can sprint but not very far as they have the machine spirit in their armor (and other things to help the marines move in their armor) as all other space marines do and also due to the fact they are SPACE MARINES aka super humans
Bass Blitz terminators can run despite the fact that they were the equivalent of a modern tank as uniform -) just not very fast as u say -)
Peter Shanks terminators can actually get a good speed going but at a sprint they can't turn or stop easily, so given they have even ground, space, and the need to run in a straight line they can run probably faster than most standard humans can
imagine a charging rhino made out of metal with guns attached.
Throughout this entire video, it sounded like you could not stop getting off to this game.
I cant watch any other part of the video save the intro speech of Grand Master Belial.

Well, I admit this has impressed me after some pretty shaky beta footage. I wasn't expecting a game competent enough to pull off the build up and tension at the beginning of the level, and yet here it is. Hopefully they also managed to fix a lot of the bugs and then there might just be an excellent game here.
And as a once pure Deathwing player, I really, really want this to be good.
