Seems like the camel spider is more afraid of people if anything. It took a lot of provocation apparently because it just wanted to get away from the mysterious giant being.
I don't think you understand arachnophobia. The lethality of the spider is irrelevant. It's how they look, how they move, the sharp angles, the many legs, the mouth, the eyes, the body etc, whether it can kill or not means nothing.
When you’re laying on your cot and one of those little bastards scurries across the ground and into your duffel bag, it’s one of the most terrifying games of hide and go seek you’ve ever played
Or one falls from the thatch roof onto your stomach and then scurries off. I slept on the damn roof. Fuck the mortars, there’s a sand daemon in the hooch.
I remember being deployed and believing in all the tales/myths about the scary camel spider more than weapons of mass destruction in Iraq…weird both were wrong but the camel spider was passed on at the ground level and not fake news MSM. It took me like twenty mins to catch one at night. It took so long because it kept chasing me and I would retreat screaming like a little girl…later I found out it was just running for the biggest shadow under my HMMV and I was standing between him and it with a flash light. Catching that camel spider was literally my biggest accomplishment during the 8 months wasted on that stupid deployment. Side note they are scary as F looking and seem to breath heavily with sporadic long looking pubic hairs all over their bodies…apparently they just got a bad rap
The fact that you really had to force the camel spider to bite you just shows that they really do just want to mind their own business after getting in your shadow. Coupled with the fact that their bites barely do anything to you.

This guy is really helping my fear of fanged insects. I used to think that they all just wanted to bite me but I’m starting to learn that even if I come close to them their last intention is to attack me
They are super cool to research on! Also fun fact they are not even spiders. And camel spider is a nickname. They are actually more related to scorpions. I can't remember their actual name but I do know it translates to "those who flee from the sun". Doing a research paper on them for zoology class was super fun.
Yeah, these critters are notorious for the insane speeds they can move at. Wind scorpions is a nickname I've heard for them and for good reason. I could be wrong but I think I remember reading that if these things were scaled up to human size they would be moving at like 50 mph. But that's hearsay so take it with a grain of salt, regardless these things are speed freaks. Totally harmless though.
I've been working on decoupling my brain from fear of bugs for a while now through learning about and studying them up close and i used to find these guys pretty disgusting. To be fair, people such as myself are less scared by the bite and more by the... spideriness. But with videos such as yours, handling such a big spider with such grace, maybe that gets better over time ^_^‘
@@matthewduarte133 Honestly, I don't think so. I have never stomped a spider out of fear, the very few (!) exceptions are those thin cellar spiders because there are some just living in my room and even though I usually bring them outside, sometimes I don't have the patience or I wanna cull the herd ^_^' Though in that case, I get a tissue for it and if the little critter happens to be gone when I turn back, it gets to live. However, I also never had a spider this size running at me. Chances are I'll choose flight over fight. I don't wanna kill animals just because they make me uncomfortable if I can at all avoid it. There’s a good reason for that. I was in the military and went to Saudi. When you arrive you go through “in-processing” which just basically means you have to do a bunch of stuff as a new person so you know what you’re doing while you’re there. One part of that is listening to a bunch of briefings about the local area, customs, hazards, wildlife and some does/don’ts, etc. In that briefing we were warned to watch out for camel spiders. They said that they are HIGHLY venomous much like the brown recluse, but way worse… and huge by comparison. They said their venom would cause necrosis which often either leads to amputation or death. I can’t remember for certain but, I want to say they even showed us pictures of what camel spider bites can do to a person. They also warned us that camel spiders can jump like 6 ft. They say the reason for that is that they feed on camels; hence their name. Apparently, they jump up and bite the belly of camels. They hang on as their venom dissolves the tissue which they slurp up for food. So in a nut shell… when you arrive in Saudi they scare the hell out of you about camel spiders. We’re told to check our boots before putting them on and to check our sleeping bag before sliding into it. Every night I was there I turned my boots upside down when I took them off. Stories spread around base about guys who wake up with these spiders in their beds or about people who got bit, etc. If they’re truly harmless idk why the military sold us all the misinfo about them. Lol prob to attempt to prevent us from trying to keep them as pets or trying to take them back home. Either way, the fear mongering was effective! Even if you weren’t normally afraid of spiders you’d still want nothing to do with these highly venomous 8-legged monsters that are the size of a paper plate. Anyway, now you know why those guys in the videos scream and run like little girls. They all think that spider can jump at least 6 feet so each of them is expecting it to jump onto their face. 😂
Some people may find out the truth about the way of life. In reality life isn't actually real. We are all in the matrix. Yes. The matrix is confirmed real. When you think of it, you can't feel others true pain, true feelings, true thoughts, it could be all a made up lie. When you see objects, people, vehicles, buildings, animals, ect. You can't see the opposite side of it, nor hear the opposite side of it. Why you may ask? We are all stuck in 1st person. This means we are in a sinulated game, being controlled by big ass people who play us as a game. That's why we always stay in 1st person, the world is hiding the truth from us. Are those stars in the sky really stars? Or are they actually just tiny holes and we live in a disk? The disk is what we (the simulated game) is ran by. We are not real! None of us are real! We were all programmed to do this. That's the reason there are real life NPC's, you are one of them! You may not act, look, or talk like one, but you are! You do not just know it yet. Think global warming is a damn problem? Literally we can be a damn simulation is all I know! But am I truly correct? No. But I would not say Yes or No. It is a 50/50 chance we're simulated. So many crazy conspiracies about the origins of life. Or really just anything in general. Religion is some crazy shit, hell! Where did life all started? Why did it start? When? How? The answer is truly mysterious. There is absolutely no one that knows the **true** meaning of existence. We will all die at somepoint, every single thing, **everything**! space, the multiverse! Everything will and can perish. My conspiracy is everything is sinulated, it's a infinite loop! When I said about the big people controlling us, they are also possibly simulated. Goes on and on and on. Infinity does exist ♾️. Time never gets wasted, it's really just infinite. But like always, everyone will just ignore this conspiracy, most people don't like conspiracy theorists. But I hope some people will read this, and I hope they could take this as a warning as a **possibility** we could all be a simulation.

Spider: " rips apart flesh"
Guy: " there's no need to be afraid of this creature "
