- In this wood turning video I turn a piece of Beech which had a nasty crack in it, I could probably have turned it out but thought I would try a stick fix instead ..

I got this one for Christmas! It is so gorgeous. And now I can thruthfully say, pictures on a screen can't give your amazing art the credit it deserves. I am so happy. Every day I look at it and remember how I loved watching the video and how you fixed this piece of wood with cut up sticks and gave it a new life. Beautiful!
Thanks for your kind words.. glad you like it 👍
My father was a turner. He trained many. He died of lung issues. Please wear a respirator for those who love you. I miss him terribly. Hearing the sound of turning makes me sad and happy at the same time. Thanks for sharing.
The amount of skill you need to pull this off is incredible
Midnight in Texas and I'd rather wait for Andy to drop a video than to sleep. Sticks for the win 🏆 and oooh, some gold!!!!
Ingenious! The finished product is gorgeous.
I can hear Julie Child " Now in order to properly cook your sticks put them in an oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour."
Haha ! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Love it! 🤣
...And Jamie flips through his battered cookbook in confusion.
🤣 Excellent.
lol since you posted that I can so hear her saying that...too funny.
I have used many a bamboo skewer to repair splits and breaks in my carvings. Keep on keeping on.
A trypophobe's nightmare!
Dang that didn’t work
Yes it's horrific lol
What a beautiful item you made. I'd call it art, but that mightn't explain the extent of your skill. Thank you for showing us.
It was a welcome visitation. Thank you, Andy.
One of my favorites you’ve made. So cool!
There's no flaws, just oportunity for greatness!
That was such a cool design! I like that you used that amber resin. It really helped pull the fix together in a seamless way. Thanks for sharing your art with us!
Wow, the amber resin is just stunning. I agree completely with your comment.
Your technique for creating a well on a turned object before you poured resin was just great. It is a problem area I grappled with many times. Your solution was just brilliant....never would have thought of it myself. Kudos my friend. You've taught me something valuable. Thanks much😊😊😊
Andy, your creative genius and artistry knows no bounds!! You never cease to amaze me. This is got to be one of the coolest pieces I've watched you make!
The piece is stunning.
Turning a flaw into a great feature, beautiful!

Як завжди чудова робота! 👍😍
I just love your work....stunning!!
Excellent way to deal with the crack, nice job man!
Another fine piece with a very creative element.
Oooooooooooooo! THAT’S NICE! Well crafted!
Anybody else spot the bug wandering around after the 1:00 mark when he peeled the chunk off? That thing must have been super dizzy! 😂
Where?
@@Skinnamarink. That would be "When" not "Where"
@@GunGoose22 He said when he peeled off the chunk, given that the wood was just trimmed there were not many places other than, under the chunk, it could be.
@@Koppu1doragon honestly I can't even spot the thing despite rewatching it at the slowest speed and even screenshoting and looking around.
reporting back: there IS a bug-- it's just really, really tiny and looks like a tiny black dot that barely moves underneath the wood chunk
A very cool, creative solution to what could have been a scrapped project.
Really fun creative piece!
Love it!
I would buy that in a heartbeat - gorgeous!
