  • decided it was time to make a new lift, if you would like to make one with the exact measurements just pause video and cut boards to the same length I did make sure you use extra long screws, or the wood will split, I ended up drilling a hole through all 6 of the boards and putting a bolt through each end just for added safety

    Thanks for posting this.
    I ride a 98 Shadow 750
This works great! It is very stable and ideal for most projects you want to tackle on your own.
Like removing your wheels, getting to your oil filter, chain adjustments/replacement, etc.
Also easy/cheap to modify for your specific frame.
I have the $85.00 mc specific lift wich I have not used since building this one.
All of you naysayers really should give it a try. Sometimes simple is better.

I did something very similar, but with a cut up 2x6 and scrap 2*4's. The only problem is the crappy pine available near me chips and gets bit into every time, not much clearance anymore :(

Cool idea, im going to make a variant of this for my triumph, I have the harbor freight rear stand but my triumph doesnt have any bolts or extended arms to rest on the stand so I have to make my own stand just for this new bike.
