Didn't get that job, but I did get another job a week later for 85K. I hope that is good. Keep trying and you will find a job! Demand in this field is ridiculous! Don't give up!
@@MD-nt9nv really? can you share your experience. What programming language you know? Are you an entry level web developer? Sorry if I am asking too much but if you don't mind. Please share. Thank you
I had a javascript interview a month ago and got the job. the questions I was asked were: what is the differences between Synchronous and Asynchronous programming. What is a callback function? what are the call, apply, and bind methods, why would you use bind()? another one was something along the lines of what is the better approach to making an ajax call onkeyup or making the call after a complete phrase is entered in a search box. what is the keyword this? I have some of these questions before and didnt get the job, I think what helped on this one is I definitely elaborated and gave actual examples and use cases. The time I didn't do it was on a stupid sparkhire video interview where it was timed and not face to face..
I've heard of people asking about call, bind and apply. If you don't know those, you're screwed. It's not something we use a lot. Maybe bind, but that's not frequent. Thanks for sharing!
from my experience for junior devs, they care a lot for js, not for css. More specifically, they will ask promises, callbacks, some array methods, some es6 questions, oop questions. I don't think that they will ask advanced questions on frameworks.
I have my interview for Junior front end developer next week and this video helped me a lot to refresh some concept that I am going to google now and study again. I haven't code seriously for a couple of months and need to review simple stuff now ...
@@ZeeshanKhan-rp9or HI, I did find an interview by applying online, is really hard to get Junior developer now as the market is getting worst every month. I did two interviews so far one still in the hold and another one they took someone with more experience as usual happen. Now I have some code challenge for other interview to finish hope is going to get batter
There is so much material out there on this topic, but it's such a common scenario that it's great that we frequently get people's thoughts and suggestions on this. Repeat, repeat, repeat. New and old, junior and also senior. Nice.
I was laid off 3 months ago from my job as a Sr. Front End Developer. I've had a couple of interviews since then with unsuccessful results. One interview had me do a short CSS exercise which was fairly simple, however I messed up on a small part which could have been easily remedied with the box-sizing property. I honestly never had to use it before and for the last 3 years, I've been using bootstrap which made me become lazy in my CSS knowledge. I've been doing front end development for over 10 years, but I feel so behind on technology now. Every company wants you to know the latest and greatest JS framework which I think is virtually impossible to know every one inside and out. I have a good working knowledge of AngularJS and have done online training in Vue.js. Now I'm trying to learn React. Might be time to hang up my development shoes and go work at the Home Depot. Ugh. So frustrating.
Please make a video that gives answers to those questions. I know how to use html, css, js, react, mongodb. But I cant speak "intelligently" on those topics. :(
Can you please explain the diagram part. I had a question to explain my app. I mostly gave a simple answer on how the app works but I think the interviewer was looking for more in depth answer. Thanks for this video also!!
But I feel relieved that even as a second year student I was able to answer all the questions easily But im spending a lot of time to improve and learn new stuff
Thank you Erik!! As I was watching this to prepare for an upcoming interview I realized some of the questions were asked in previous interviews. Wish I found this earlier!
Thanks for sharing the good idea about the interview! So simplify but tells all the most important parts. 1. I would like to know "What questions do you want to ask us" that part. Cause I always not good at asking any questions. 2. Also, is the resume must limit in 1 page? I had 4 companies work experience. Should I wrote more than 5 details bullet points for each work experience? 3. Is there ant better way to describe skills on resume besides just writing 'em down one by one?
Great Video. I cannot get enough of these fundamental focused type of videos. I appreciate how you explained how/what to talk about. I'd appreciate anything you might have about this on PHP too.
Got my interview in 2 days. Im still a student so I'm expecting that the level of questions will be slightly different then those of a full fledged engineer but still I want to impress and show my skills and passion and hence I'm trying to ace it. This video helps a lot to get an understanding of what to expect
@@ProgramWithErik It went pretty well, they gave me a code test to do at home and send to them, after that we will have another interview to discuss my implementation on that code test :)
Don’t know if it’s just different in the US but here in the UK, we rarely get such technical questions. Every job I’ve gone for has been more interested in some of the projects I’ve worked on and my attitude. But now I’m going for the biggest role I have in my career yet, and absolutely bricking it! I struggle to answer questions like these, but I can sure show you with my work 😭
1. Understand Life Cycle Hooks 1:40
2. Learn Selectors 3:02
3. Learn Promises, Callbacks, Async/Await, Observables 3:53
4. Learn Scoping, var, let and const 4:37
5. White Board, String Manipulation, Palindromes, Fibonacci 5:31
Thanks for making this content more accessible!

That could be right. I've seen it all over the place. Sometimes if you get a recommendation from someone in the company, you just have the job.

Did you eventually get a dev job? Don't give up! Many companies have slown down the hiring process due to the pandemic. Hope you are allright
Don’t give up dude. You are very close and stronger than that 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿 keep pushing 🌟🌟
I thought it would be easy for a Sr Front End Dev to secure a role? This was quite surpising
there is data binding and dependency injection also, asked quite a lot.

just a random..after completing the javascript ..I have two option those are jquery and the php..which opt should I learn first?
Jquery
neither
Neither. Learn React then node, Django or Deno
I don't know what to think but
Every day in every moment I progress more and more
Sooo, I thought all I would have to know is HTML, CSS, and JavaScript??
I am thought the same thing too. I feel like I am chasing a moving expanding target. You never feel like You had control on everything
Going for an interview tomorrow. Wish me luck fellas
