One crazy runner in London decided to see if he could
beat the underground tube from one stop to the next
Now we are taking this challenge and made for an
exhilarating video too.

not implying that this guy is cheating, but i hope in future anyone who wants to try this challenge puts the 2 videos (on runner and in train) side by side, or at least picture in picture mode unedited throughout the process of the race to make the video a lot more believable and enticing to watch.

@@JayASMRtwice He only said his opinion, no need to get toxic about it. I aggree with him, to make a run more beleivable don't cut because then you can't get any continuity. It's not fucked up, it's easier to beleive if you can see the whole run instead of cut in pieces.
Ive made a second video with side to side splut screen and it proves thats its pretty impossible

It is not HongKong MTR are fast! It is just because HongKong MTR station are poorly designed, that is why you missed the train! Tube stations in London are much more accessible! lol

I use the London underground almost every week. And I have been to HK many times. in terms of comparing tubes....MTR is cleaner, faster, better designed and maintained.

Frankly you have no idea how much I miss the MTR... The London Underground is much slower and with stairs only in many stations - really troublesome when I have something bulky with me - not accessible at all sorry. Also, although I'm kinda used of it now, it is still unbelievable that there aren't any air-con and phone signals in the tube unless I get to zone 2 or 3. Just admit it, the London Underground is old. The MTR has more frequent trains and fewer delays (or other issues such as having a station closed for like a year or so).
:p I agree though, one of the reasons for the London Underground to be slower is the unnecessary long door-opening time.

旺角去太子既站距離係近,但旺角站出口與太子站入口好唔match..
反觀油麻地與旺角站,一條砵蘭街直通,同地鐵鬥快既機率大好多

炮台山同天后好似係地鐵行車距離第二近嘅車站，只不過如果你由炮台山去天后，應該由月台上到地面（甚至大堂），架車已經由天后開走埋。又或者天后去炮台山（天后往柴灣站月台較近地面），情況都唔會差幾多，所以話地鐵嘅地底車站比較深，其實一般嚟講，完成到呢個挑戰係冇乜可能嘅事。
等佢壞車,一定追到!!!
Mong Kok ⇨ Prince Edward may have been a better route, although not sure if that would be directly comparable to the distance traveled on foot when compared to the London version. MTR in Hong Kong is indeed efficient :)
There are a few new stations just opened in the past year. Do anyone want to try Choi Hung to Ho Man Tin (or Whampoa)? Running distance about 5 km, and train journey is about 18 minutes.

This was much easier than the London one, since he only has to reach the other station in 1:50. The London one was 1:20 over the same distance
He can't use the octopus when he entered the station because it got a 2mins cool down thingy right? Not sure if it works with different station though.
You can't use the octopus on the same machine twice for 2 minutes, you can use it unlimited times in any time period as long as they are different machines.

Honestly that was so close to him actually getting in that I'm kinda bummed out they didn't try again, I'm sure he could've made it.
this depends on the traffic crossing Mong Kok Road, which is a major cross-road and is one of the major intersection with pedestrian accident. I jay-walked there all the time and I rarely have a clear path & no incoming traffic to cross immediately upon arrival, whether it is at early hour or very late at night. I doubt this accomplishment is genuine, as the video didn't show the timer again at the end.

整個旺角站去奧運站系列, 跑果個負責坐MTR趕轉車, 等果個就旺角出, 慢慢行去奧運站, 之後串柒柒咁打電話問佢到未, 係幾個車卡, 最後出條slogan話"想快呀, 行路啦"!

The Circle Line in London is exceptionally slow (40km/h between Mansion House - Cannon St) and very shallow (less stairs).
Racing the MTR is like racing the Victoria Line. The automatic train driving will take the train up to 50km/h even on short sectors. The lines are also deeper so more stairs.

Circle line is share it’s rails with district line, it’s slower. London one is easier, because the platforms are just below the ground level, and they go slower
But Hong Kong has a lot of skyscrapers nowadays, the railroad tracks must build deeper. Also MTR go fast automatically.

Actually this is hard to challenge, since the stairs is quite complicated in these 2 statations, and still somebody walking near the gates till very late / early

It may be very far but they are also very slow
He is slower than the runner in London. His average speed 14.5km/h. And the London race tube was 17/h. He would have made it if he was as fast as the London runner.
The last statement is untrue, the London underground is faster. If the london runner was running this he would be there before the train doors open. The London runner will be 15 secs earlier.

其實港島線係最近，我諗最近係西灣河到太古城，因人流車流少，站設計簡單一層落去就月台，應該做得到
西灣河到太古要上斜,比較辛苦,
掉轉由太古去西灣河會好d...
不過太古站個位置比較深入地低,跑扶手電梯都要用唔少時間...
skinhk 但同樣地 架地鐵都會因為落斜既關係 (認真) 而開得好快
同埋西灣河向太古方向係最底層 太難喇...
成條港島線都挖站挖得非常深 (尤其北角) 基本上港島線除左杏花村去柴灣 (包埋總站等客時間) 否則都好難追到...
其實地鉄點對點唔係上落斜或平面行走，它利用孤形物理行為，原理就好似海盗船一樣，當然角度無咁大，開車時首先會微向下府衝一段，然後利用動力再向上爬升到下點(所以開車頭幾秒感覺衝力幾大)，所以地鉄實際距離同路面會長少少，只要分析站對站相距有多少，我相信香港會做得到。又或者金鐘去灣仔出入口都好近，應該有可能做到
太子站同旺角站係香港距離最近嘅站，太子去旺角都係400m左右，但係西灣河到太古應該有600m以上距離...

in denmark the subway takes only 3 minutes to run from a station to an other. It will take you 2 minutes just to exit the station lol, impossible
