Hello, I have been an occupational therapist for several years in home support. I just discovered your videos on youtube and I find them just fantastic. Thank you very much for the demonstrations, explanations, details and ideas to help me do my job better. I will surely also show your videos to my clients so that they understand the maneuvers better before trying them with them.
this makes no sense in a real life situation if youre a paraplegic, its almost impossible to pull shorts or even a towel out from under you when youre sitting upright
Not impossible, done it with many throughout my career. It is definitely challenging and there are certainly tons of additional, personal considerations required to address any one person’s technique. This video is a basic intro, the real work is done in person with a trained therapist who understands the nuance of working with any diagnosis requiring modified techniques for completing daily activities.
@@tncountryboy06if you’re a higher T-level para, we wouldn’t suggest this type of bathing at all, would suggest rolling shower chair with toilet seat cutout, perform transfer with only a gown on or bathrobe. Just cause we don’t know exactly what your deficits are doesn’t mean we don’t know how to bathe you safely, we have the training

Its very easy to demostrate using an able body!!! Use a paraplegic without any help,, its a different story. I'm not a fool.
