The (almost) Daily Vlog: Episode 96! Today we wanted to do something a little different. The Nike Air VaporMax has been a very polarizing sneaker. The limited nature of them and all of the comparisons to Adidas Boost and the comfort of them being just a few of the factors. So we wanted to try something we are calling the "REAL TRUTH," where we look at the sneaker honestly, without receny bias some period of time after it releases and we have worn it enough to give an actual review on it. You guys actually wear your shoes like me, that’s why I watch your videos bc I know it will really be a review of how a sneaker feels and looks on your foot if they’re gonna be on your foot, not hidden in the box. I just bought my first pair of vapormax yesterday and I’m very impressed. I’m expecting them to get better as I break them in as with other airmax. So excited tho, it’s like you have bubbles taped to the bottom of your feet, like there’s no shoe at all, unreal!

i agree, worn them to disneyland the day they released(3/26) and they were comfortable but starting hurting after half the day. took them last week and did NOT complain once. i noticed the more i wore them the more comfortable they got

So true about the break in! When I wore a friends pare for the first time I actually thought thy were really stiff and uncomfortable. That said, I thought that with a little break in they would be A1.

I tried them on at Footaction. Didn't like the squeak on the tile and feeling the individual sole compartments. As a former runner, I don't trust them. Casually, shorts or joggers if you want to show them off. The CSR at Footaction was kinda mad I wasn't being all positive about the shoe. Love and hate sneaker. It's just a different shoe from any Ultra Boost so I'm not sure it's ok to compare them?
I just got the Asphalt pair today on the restock on the sneaker app can't wait to run my 5k in these
I agree with what you have said. I have 3 pairs of Vapormax - Platinum, Asphalt, and Light Grey. Once you break them in they are beyond comfortable and they hold up extremely well. Great job on the video boys.

This review is so fuckin true, everything I've thought about these shoes you just clarified for me and what you said about the boosts situation where you expect immediate comfort is again so true, I got a pair of vapormax and gotta say for the price I was disappointed but you just made me feel a little bit better about them

That's interesting about the Vapor Max. It makes me want to get a pair, wear them for two months and do a comparison between those, NMD's, UB's, and Yeezy V2's.
I would also suggest going up a 1/2 size to 1 full size. I had two pairs and the one that I went up a size feel great. The one that's true to size, kinda bothers my pinky toe after wearing a few hours

Agreed completely, Foamer. A sneaker review without actually having worn the shoes is incomplete. Most shoe reviewers merely comment on the aesthetics of the shoe.

All of the Airmax type tend to get much more over time. I feel like they get more comfortable once I would characterize them as beaters which is great for work, but I guess most people want them comfortable after a couple wears. I'll try the Vapormax Volt. Those seem very unique.

I like to have some wear and tear on all my shoes but I don't go around not trying to avoid getting my shoes dirty I walk normal but avoid getting them damaged dirty etc. I just try to avoid excessive dirty and grime that can be avoided

If you get a hole in the air bubble, what's the solution, I was thinking I could fill the air bubble with a transparent silicone mastic.
I have worn my VaporMax's almost daily for 5 months as of yssterday. They have been wonderful but they were defective so i had to send them back for a new pair. Thankfully ill have them back by Thursday. Defintily worth the money. Best pair of shoes i have ever owned.
