- Jedburgh Abbey is the jewel in Jedburgh's crown. Dating back to the 12th century, it is one of the best surviving remains of an Agustinian Abbey in the whole of Scotland.
Jedburgh Castle jail and museum sits at the top of the town.A former prison built on the site of a previous royal castle.
A must visit place.. The beautiful town of Jedburgh.

Crackin' video Yvonne, great shots of that lovely old Abbey and that really nice church and castle. Love that town, another place I used to go to regularly in my youth (2 life times ago). Love the whole area along with Galashiels and Hawick.

Did you visit Mary Queen of Scot’s home? That’s an interesting place. The abbey, castle and gaol are also worth visiting. Nice flight Yvonne, you certainly get around in that van 🚐 🤣👍🏻🤗

Wow! The castle must have been massive. It’s interesting certain parts remain standing and yet other parts have only their foundation remnants visible.

All our ruined Abbeys are testament to the architectural vision of people who lived almost a thousand years ago: however they may have been inspired. And to the destructive greed of one man who lived 500 years ago.
Did you get to Melrose and the Eildons?
I flew Dunnottar castle last week and several other locations. Had a fantastic road trip in Scotland. Planning the next one for September.
