the “sustainable” lines in fast fashion companies like h&m and green washing and not actually sustainable, the workers are still treated the same and most of the fabric isn’t actually good
exactly! they use smaller quantities of synthetic fabrics like polyester with other fabrics like cotton so the clothes can't even be recycled. it is one of the worst brands that greenwash. a £5 'conscious' t-shirt isn't sustainable or ethical at all.
you can't always force sustainable fashion to everyone. sometimes its hard to find good quality clothing brands that are sustainable so don't hold it against people. if you didn't know its not a problem. plus, sometimes thrifted clothes aren't sustainable either. I think you guys need to chill.
why would we judge your english? you have such great speech for someone who doesn't have english for their first language. thank you for this video! it's so helpful. you are so pretty btw! please do another one of these videos soon!
i think we just need to be INTENTIONAL. We can’t buy a piece of clothing that was made perfectly with no problems. But be INTENTIONAL. If you buy thrifted clothes, make sure you don’t overconsume. If you buy fast fashion, make sure you get maximum use out of the piece. If you buy sustainable clothing, make sure you spend your money wisely. Be intentional about every piece of clothing.
H&M is one of the world’s most recognisable fast fashion brands. It’s the second largest retailer in the world, trailing just behind Inditex (the owner of Zara). H&M has long been the target of widespread concern about the impact of fast fashion on the environment and the workers who make the clothes. I am not buying from people that take advantage of women and children.
Very true but not everyone is like you. They don’t have the same interests so shaming someone for wanting lots of clothes and styles just isn’t the move. You may like rewearing the same outfits and being cute in just that but not everyone 🥰
@@lauryn7081 hi, I looove fashion and i would loooove to wear different stuff everyday. You take it as shaming I just thini its our responsability as the earth doesnt belong to us and we need to preserve it. Starting to be really mindfull with your choices can transform from a chore (must be one if you think you cannot live without it) into a passion. When it becomes a passion it will be easy. But for that you need to do research about the subject and try to stop seeing a huge wardrobe as a necessity. Its a choice I promess. Im still on the way and its a choice everyday. Justifying choices by saying others shame you is wrong too. I wrote the comment to make people think about it, even if you make a small change. I hope not everyone sees everything that’s not aligning with what they want to do as shaming. Why did you even think it was shaming ? Maybe think about that.

@@broccolini yeah but I can’t order there😕 I have to order different single items on different websites.. that’s just not so easy . Time & energy consuming 🙁
@@DreamerAnis I see, yeah I‘ve also been looking for something like that. Here in Austria there is avocadostore but I don‘t now if they also ship to the UK
well not really.. a lot of big companies are known for green washing. H&M is actually one of those companies. The prices are also fairly low because, if you didnt know already, they make the garments in countires in India, Bangladesh etc. H&M also doesnt pay their workers the standard minimum wage. A different kind of brand, who pays their workers fairly, and is actually sustainable, is Lucy And Yak or Sisterhood the Label. If you want to find more brands like these, you could look on Good on You
Hey, what you said about h&m was not exactly true. Not your fault, because a lot of people have thought this too. But here's a video you can watch to educate yourself a little bit more. ( This isn't my video, it just changed my perspective on fast fashion after I watched it.) Hasan Minhaj, the ugly truth about fast fashion. Good luck!
Sorry but you need to put more effort into your videos and research before you support a brand like H&M Sure buy from then if you want to but don’t say it’s sustainable lol

HM is a fast fashion company, the sustainable line is to look good
Yeah, I heard that it's called "green washing" when fast fashion tries to cover up their fastness I guess lol
For English not being your first language, ITS SO GOOD!!!

One less expensive way to buy sustainable clothes is to just realise we dont need that much clothes...
