@@GoodBadRugby I actually think JP is right about the wallabies and the way the tour is lined up, they could do very well. I think the all blacks will drop the French test but I believe they beat England and Ireland.
As a kiwi, i love it when the home nation sings over the haka it creates an atmosphere and makes it that much sweeter when the all blacks win. A home crowd should utilise every advantage to help get their team the win. Booing the kicker is also acceptable. The officials and media are trying to kill union, don't let them ruin the atmosphere as well.
I'm Maori and I love the singing at the same time of the haka, it's just like a pacific team doing there haka at the same time. It's great stuff with a challenge verse a challenge, imagine if the English Rugby team actually sung with the crowd at the same time. This would be awesome fun without the stupid head butting rubbish that happened in the Samoa vs England League game last weekend.
I personally love the home nations singing, and backing their nation during our challenge. As a māori new Zealander i believe that is what they are supposed to do. 💪🏽🇳🇿
I’m a Maori and I believe as a fan you’re allowed to do whatever you want during whatever part of the game or event within reason. Singing during the Haka is okay with me tbh, obviously I don’t agree with foul and abusive language. It is what it is, I feel like you can’t tell fans how to behave when they are supporting their team. I understand the respect aspect but the All Blacks and their fans have to respect what country they are in.
Feel for the ball boy.. I remember getting blown up as a kid by David Latta. thinking I was clever taking a kick on full and preventing a quick lineout when Counties beat Otago 😂😂 got to met a young Jonah though.. so not all bad
Maybe im a rear bread b1ut personally as someone who played at a fairly high representative level i preferred playing away from home because there is nothing like travelling to overseas or another part of the country and dominating their local team on their home ground. That always made me more proud than doing it at home in front of the local support that see you do it on a regular basis
Is there an argument that singing in response to/during the Haka is a sign of respect? A way of challenging it because of the advantage it gives the All Blacks, while supporting the home team. Open to being wrong.
How so 😂. Didn't South Africa just gone sing Ole Ole, let of a load of fireworks and had a plane flyover all during the Haka . Talk about taking it to a different level and New Zealand lost four times in a row to them now.
Squad selection clearly shows SA want to take a clean sweep of the end of year tour. Only newbies are because of forced injuries. The majority are double WC winners.
If you come to England, onto our soil and you feel special enough to lay down a challenge. Don't be surprised when we rally behind our boys and enthusiastically take it up😂 expect some loud spine tingling singing rising from the home of rugby 🏉 I bloody love it, swing low vs the haka, gets you ready for a proper show down🎉🎉 stop whining 😂 enjoy the battle and some proper beer. People even though the AB's ain't playing up to the standard of what we know they can do, the AB's haven't shown to much of their hand. Alot improvement to be made in the areas of intensity, catch & pass, execution would help However I'm quietly confident they can win. Lets face it a wounded AB is a dangerous AB, Leech Go
One of the many reasons I as a NZder want our national side to bench the Haka I know I'm like 0% stand-alone but my love for team and country is without question thing is 'why psychic the opposition up = why pump up their partisan fans because it is exactly what we are doing nowadays seemingly with veiled contempt in return now imagine playing all these heavyweights without the Haka...thats psychology
Was NZ win over Japan an indication of their improvement, or an indication of how far Japan has fallen over the years? Now ranked 14th, I was shocked when I saw this.
ANY REACTION to Haka weather Traditional or Distractive NEVER takes away the focus of a READIED WARRIOR....RHYTHM and VIBE OF HAKA produces REFERENCE and DEDIANCE.

BS… the haka is a challenge but no one is allowed to take the challenge the way they feel they want to. ABs have had world rugby in their pockets for way too long
Cam Roigard is so much better than Ratima, Ratima will always be a great back up to Cam but Cam is a legitimate attacking weapon and will be one of the very best half backs in the world for a long time to come
Ka Mate is a Ngere not a Haka. It's about laying down ones life for his enemy. It's not to intimidate an opponent but a reminder to the AB that Pakeha and Maori were once at war. The AB's took this theme to the world over a Century ago. Kapa o Pango is a Haka.
JMs notion that any tier 1 nation fan is paying 150 plus to go to a game and not want to see the haka drowned out with a good song or challange is an old mans delusion.
Don’t get too precious about your haka. It detracts from your cultural pride. You have no special privileges compared to other teams. And you’re not in a drama theatre where everyone is expected to be silent.
The sheer arrogance to think you can tell a host country on their own soil who allows you to do your little dance how they’re allowed to react to it is genuinely hilarious 😂😂
From my time in NZ many years ago many Maori I spoke with were not too enthused about the haka being used at rugby games by NZRU and considered it disrespectful to their culture. Culture appropriation by the Pakeha if I recall correctly. Another complaint was they were not using the correct haka or even performing it correctly. I guess before swing low gets going, to a portion of the maoris community the haka has already been disrespected by being performed in the first place on a rugby field. If one really wants to understand the haka the best place to appreciate it, is to go to NZ and see the true haka being performed by the maori tribes.
